Can I say this place is kind of underrated? I've never seen this place because I don't go to this shopping complex often so I actually found out about this place through yelp. I decided to try with my family because it was nearby and the reviews are pretty good. We got the beef noodles, pork and fennel dumplings, and beef wrap. Everything we ordered was yummy and not too oily. I didn't order the xlb though so I wouldn't know how it is compared to other xiao long bao places. The restaurant is clean and the service is very good!Definitely a local gem!

I rarely leave any bad reviews because I feel bad that it would hurt small businesses. I usually try to get things straightened out with the business as a form of constructive feedback. But when I talked to the owner, she was very disrespectful and rude to me even though I asked very kindly.I was told that my food would be ready in 20 minutes, but after 40 minutes have passed I asked the owner for an update on my order. She rudely responded to me and pointed to her ticket orders and said "can't you see we are very busy!" I didn't talk back to avoid any confrontation. I just kept quiet and went back to my seat. I noticed that she was packing food for multiple orders. Some of my items were ready but still waiting to get other dishes. The chefs were pushing out food not in the order received. They were pushing out food for multiple orders. The restaurant opened at 11am and I placed the order soon as it opened and my order was submitted by 11:07 am. But I still kept quiet and didn't say anything. When I finally got my food after over 45 minutes of waiting and took it back home, my dumplings and beef rolls were cold. They had been sitting at the restaurant for a while before my order was completed. For my soup broth, I had to microwave it. The only thing that was warm and fresh was the fried rice. I live less than 10 minutes away from the place so the drive shouldn't have affected it. I tried ignore these issues and enjoy the meal with my family. But I decided to give the restaurant a call to give feedback. But the owner was very rude to me and told me, "what can I do..., it's lunch time rush and it's very busy. She told me if I was not happy to bring the food back for refund. I told her we had already started eating the food and it's doesn't feel right to pack everything and bring them back. So she told me there's nothing she can do. I wasn't even looking for a refund. I just wanted to provide constructive criticism. But after the owner's rude responses, I felt that the poor customer service needed to be addressed. The owner refused to even acknowledge me. I was just completely shocked with the responses that I got. Very disappointed with the customer service..I can usually overlook bad customer service if the food is exceptionally good. But the food was ok. The food was salty and dumplings' and wontons' dough was a bit too thick.

First time here and won't be the last. Tucked into a quiet little center in diamond bar (but close to Toro Tea ;) )...Great food options. Flavorful. I'd say great prices . Friendly service. The space is clean, straightforward and no bells or whistles. The portions are good size and i would definitely like to explore more of this menu!

More like 3.6473 stars.Major Dumplings occupies the loneliest corner of this plaza. In fact, it occupies the former Pizza Hut (RIP) space. Unless you seek it out, you wouldn't know it's there. My mom, sister, and I recently lunched here. We shared the following:-cucumber salad ($4.50)-lao gan ma fried noodle with prime beef ($13.50)-pork potstickers ($10.50 for 8 pcs)-wonton in spicy sauce ($10.50 for 8 pcs)Our server recommended the lao gan fried noodles and that coincidentally was the tastiest thing we tried. The noodles are tossed with your choice of protein, cabbage, and julienned carrots. The noodles weren't overly dressed or seasoned but they did have a very nice wok taste to them. The dumpling situation was very mid considering its namesake. While the potstickers and wontons are generously sized, the filling lacked flavor. What you end up with is a very large, yet bland, dumpling. Also note that wonton in spicy sauce here is very different than spicy wontons elsewhere. These wontons were swimming in a pool of Szechuan sauce hence "wonton in spicy sauce." I'll have to try their soup dumplings next time. The Major Dumplings is a nice addition to the Diamond Bar dining scene. I'll be back to try other food items from their expansive menu.

This place is right up the street from where I am and when I'm up at night and can't sleep, I browse their menu and salivate while flirting with Ubereats. But I was never brave enough to proceed with order. Just the forever 'add to cart' winks. But I'm hungry today and I've no access to my kitchen. Finally came in and got a few things, even had two soup dumplings just cause! I'd been missing meat in this vegetarian diet, but the two dumplings were.. really not worth breaking the lifestyle for. It's no Ding Tai Fung and there's no vegetarian ones. The cucumber salad was a little too sour and not enough cilantro. Or any cilantro. Or garlic. But nice as pickles. But the Mapo tofu was the most disappointing.. i used to love this dish and would only eat this back when even black pepper was considered 'too spicy' for me. Mapo tofu with rice is the best. But their version was just mild tofu in thickened sauce. No fermented beans or spiciness. Very little flavor and did not make me want more rice. The scallion pancakes were ok. Greasy but ok. Not super flaky but fine. Perhaps the best thing was their iced green tea. Because there's no hot tea. At a place with Chinese on the menu.

Food: Cucumber Salad had the vinegar taste with the crispiness; Beef Roll was tasty and included 2 large rolls; Braised Eggplant with Garlic Sauce had a great balance of flavor not being too garlicy; Pork Potstickers were more on the soft side and not crispy; Dan Dan Noodles were tasty, but not spicy at all; Kung Pao Chicken was not spicy eitherService: very friendly & helpful waitstaff and everything is made-to-order freshDesign: interiors is clean, relatively new and has about (6) 4-seat tablesOverall: if you want a good variety of Chinese food with dumplings, noodles, and the classics with friendly service, then check out this place in Diamond Bar

This place has good reviews for a reason. The pork and cabbage dumplings are amazingly juicy!I had to try it before I took a picture. I almost didn't take one but I paused before scarfing down the rest. Also had their strawberry green tea and it's delicious. Definitely will come back

One adult and two kids entered this new dumpling restaurant at Diamond Bar, California. Major dumpling is a small eatery, but offers a lot of dishes for a new restaurant. We ordered spicy beef noodle soup which is spicy with some kicks.XLB pork dumplings x 8. Juicy inside and tastes good for soup pork dumplings, a solid dish.House special fried noodle with shrimp it's got lots of different ingredients like vegetables, very tasty in my opinion. Service is done with one waitress. She does everything, so it can be slow but overall friendly and fast and just little slower when she is flooded with customers' demands.Overall the new restaurant is clean, dishes are tasty without too much grease, salt, and small dishes.

The food is mediocre, but the service is very nice.Came here a few times and tried a couple of different items on the menu, and everything is very mediocre and taste and quality. The food usually lacks flavor, and is either overcooked or undercooked. Portion size is good, prices are reasonable. The wonton soup, the wontons was undercooked, and did not taste good. The beef noodle soup was a bit too salty too much soy sauce, and the beef was overcooked and very dry. I really wanted to like this place, but there are just so much competition in this area.

The dumplings were very good, everything we ordered was delicious. The beef soup and beef roll and shredded potatoes were superb. The food wasn't too expensive and the service was fast. The person who took our order was really good and answered our questions. The whole ambiance was claiming and relaxing. I would recommend this place. The place looked great and the food was even better. The cucumber pickles were my least favorite.
