From potato salad to raw marinated crabs, this market-style Korean shop sells a large varied of pre-packaged Korean side dishes for take-away. They even sell bento boxes for a convenient meal while on the run. I ordered the Japchae, Keto gimbap, Sugar glazed sweet potato, and Spicy fish cake! Everything was so good! The spicy fish cakes were my favorite. Will definitely go back to buy some freezer items to try!

Horrible customer service. I really don't like to write bad reviewsBut this time I MUST.I would not recommend or shop here again.Food is just average little pricy but you just wanted to support the local community. I cater here numerous occasions. When they first opened, I order special bento boxes for $25.00/ per box for 50 people. Which was very nicely done.So I visit them time to time because of convenience and for support for local businesses. But Not very friendly .... It's okay I thought til yesterday. There was a recent occasion, for office Halloween potluck so I decided to cater jap chae for 25-30 people. Cost me $75.00it looks and taste okay just average nothing ordinary. And the portion was not alot either, very thinly spread out. It wasn't a huge success either. Lots of left over. But I had to attend another potluck event, 2 weeks later, so for convenience and no time to order somewhere else, I gave another try. This time catered for smaller group so order $ 50 jap chae. This time the quality of ingredients and taste was worst than previous order. Less amount, less ingredients, hardly any mushrooms, just couple here and there not even sesame seeds ??Worst than that service from young girl at the counter was horrible. They usually prefer cash for big orders, soo I stop by bank and paid cash. But this time since it was small amount and I didn't have time. I paid with credit card. And added kimbap also. I ask her for a chapstick and a (1) one small empty paper bowl for my daughter to share. Which she complied, then I ask for some chopsticks, she ask how many I wanted. I said FIVE (5) chopsticks, since it's for 10-15 people but most people would be using fork, which she didn't supply any on last order for 24-35 people. None. but my daughter needed to eat Kimbap while I was driving so I ask for some chopsticks tooDo you know what she said .... Aren't you asking bit too much ??? FOR 1 small paper bowl & 5 chopsticks !?!?!xxx??After all the business i bring her to church members & office co- workers.Horrified..,, I told her that's not the way to run busy. So I hurried out because I was late. My daughter was shock & upset when I told her.But even as I was driving I was so furiously & upset, I call her back about the chopsticks incident. She was supposed to ask me if I need any chopsticks or utensils since I just bought Kimbap also.So I Yell never to come back and she said that's fine and would be okay??? Wow really???

I was craving bulgogi sushi and decided to try this place. I've never had any food from here or been inside the store. I ordered 2 korean bulgogi sushi platters on DoorDash. Each platter was $11. There were 10 pieces of sushi in each container. I love more filling (beef, egg, carrots, cucumber) vs rice. The rolls were big bite size. I felt content after eating, not heavy or gross afterwards. I will definitely order this again! I didn't go in the store, so I can't speak on the service and ambiance.

Our world needs more places like this. It's an hour drive for me but I was in the area and need to fulfill but bookmark of places to try. Everything looked fresh. The 3 items I got from the place was all delicious! I love that they make gimbap with no rice since I need to watch my carbs. I wish that there ban chans were more displayed for self service for a grab and go experience instead of looking and not being asked if I wanted anything behind the glass is the only down side.

I really wanted to like this place and I was so excited to try out their gimbap as I'm a big gimbap fan and my parents actually prefer gimbap over sushi rolls. Don't get me wrong, our food was packaged with perfection and our rolls were made with lots of care and were picture perfect. The ratio of ingredients to rice was great, etc. It's just that the rice for all of our gimbap was so, so dry. Even with dipping it in sauce, it didn't help alleviate the dryness. I think the best thing to do would have been to soak them in instant noodle broth or some other kind of soup, but everyone's initial excitement drained very quickly after the first couple bites and this later became a chore to finish the rest of our rolls. Not sure what happened. Maybe it was a bad end of the day batch, but we did eat it immediately when we got home and we don't live too far away either. From the tuna, beef bulgogi, and sausage gimbap, the beef bulgogi was the favorite since the meat itself offered a bit more moisture with its sauced seasoning that the others.

This was my first time ordering dishes from here, I used Doordash for my delivery and everything was correct that I was given which is great. I ordered the spicy raw marinated crab and spicy pork kimbap and it came with some side dishes and a cup of rice which was appreciated. It's on the pricey end but i think it's worth it with what you get! I love the taste of the raw marinated crab. It was actually my first time trying raw marinated crab, i have been seeing it on TikTok a lot so I was happy that I purchased it today! I would definitely order again!!The crab was about $16 (not sure if it's different in store but that's doordash price) and the kimbap was $11.

Quick and on-the-go food! The beef bulgogi gimbap ($10) was the best. Packed with veggies and meat with a thin layer of rice. I also got the fishcake gimbap, eggs roll, assorted patty, and stir-fried kimchi. Definitely get the gimbaps if you're only there for one thing. You can either get the premade ones on the counter or order them for a fresh batch.

Ma's Banchan in Diamond Bar is a new family-owned Korean store that sells takeaway food that is already pre-packaged for you to take back to your home and get up. Some items might not need to be heated and others do depending on what you have bought. The store is small so there is no seating inside. There are plenty of different Korean soups, porridge, and also different items that I have never tried before. I did ask the person who rang us up if everything was made in their kitchen in the back and they did say yes. There are plenty of side dishes like potato salad, sweet potatoes, noodles, beansprouts, eggs, and different things you can have this as a snack which I do, or make it a meal for lunch or dinner.

Finally tried this small local market/to go food type place that has all kinds of Korean food. We tried the spicy raw crab, spam kimbap, and japchae - all were good. It's convenient since everything is grab and go so you are in and out in a jiffy. Nice meal if you can't dine in but want some authentic Korean food at home. We made some rice to eat with the crab since it's pretty salty. Would come back to try their other varieties of kimbap and sauces/soups.

This is still one of my favorite places to stop at whenever I'm in the area. The food is always delicious and satisfying. Staff is kind and welcoming. Even at busier times, the noise level stays pretty moderate since it's more of a grab-and-go type establishment. As I tell everyone around me, I highly recommend paying Ma's Banchan a visit and enjoying a warmed dosirak!
