Yesterday was cold and it was the perfect weather for pozole. The place we were going to go was closed. This provided the opportune time to try this place which has been on my list! It's a small place in a shopping plaza in Artesia. The plaza has ample parking. The staff were so welcoming!! We ordered 2 pozoles and 2 cocas de botella to drink. They provided chips and salsa. The salsa is made with chile de arbol and their own special touches. They said this batch was not as spicy as it usually is and they could bring us spicier. Since I was dining with someone who does not really like super spicy, we continued with the salsa provided. It had just the right heat and a unique delicious flavor which paired nicely with the chips. The pozole hit rhe spot! If you're looking for an authentic spot that serves a variety of caldos (soups), tacos and other Mexican dishes check them out!Price was a bit higher but I feel like everything has gone up! However, the amount of food and quality and service was well worth it! We will be back soon!! Thank you to the owners and staff that took care of us last night!!

Sometimes you just have to ask yourself, what the heck ? First of all I go in around 1:00. I'm the only one person there. I stand at the counter for over 5 min. Nobody comes out to take my order. I eventually have to ring the bell, which I hate doing. Anyway a lady finally comes out to take my order. I order pozole which she overcharged me for. Menu says 13.99. She charged me 14.99. The menu is digital so they could change it. I decided to get it to go because the place is just depressing. After tax I paid almost 17.00. Ridiculous...... No tortillas, no salsa, just chips. The pozole had to be the most tasteless pozole I have ever had. Canned pozole has more flavor. I had to doctor it so much to even be edible. Anyone saying this is good pozole have no clue or are just straight lying. I will not be back.

Damn good!My family and I wanted Thai bbq takeout for the 4th of July. We were going to have that for later. So in the meantime we needed a Scooby snack :p The Mexican spot next to Thai bbq was closed for the holiday. So I started calling around because my mom needed her carne asada tacos! Called around and I remember I had Los consomes on my list and they were open YAY. I ordered two carne asada street tacos, a queso birria ,a queso asada taco and chips and salsa. I was raised in Cerritos so I know Artesia very well and made my way over from Thai bbq. Walked in, nice clean little mom and pop. Seems like the guy was the chef and cashier. I didn't realize there was a little bell to let them know you're there so I stood around for a good minute til I pressed it lol. For safety, I'd say they should have something that makes a noise when you first walk in. Anyhow, he came out, rung me up and food was packed and ready. Got home and tore into the bag. The chips definitely tasted made to order. Extremely fresh! The salsa was sooooo good. He asked if I wanted the hot sauce and of course I did. Even my mom indulged and she usually can't do spicy. It was a perfect amount of spice. She said her tacos were the softest, not soggy tacos she ever had. The meat was perfect and plentiful. The queso tacos were simple and delicious. No dried out tortillas here! The Birria was nice and soft. Their meat was perfectly cooked. Not tough or a crazy chew to it. My mom said the chips were addicting. We were full just off our tacos and some chips. I needed a nap LOL. They have a nice straightforward menu. Not a million things, just enough options to keep you interested for multiple visits. Great service from a hardworking family I bet. I can't wait to go back and try their soups, even with this summer heat I wish them much success:)

This little gem serves the best soups; Albondigas, Menudo, Pezole, and their tacos... aw man!! Delicious! Place is well kept with a friendly staff. Service is always great. I'd like to see more people try this place. The flavors are fantastic! Reminds me of the old way Mexican restaurants made their food: with love and pride! Get some!!!

This place is def a Fav for my family From generous portions (They HOOK it up!) to the clean establishment and friendly service upon every visit, I'm so glad to have discovered this place when I did. Only using fresh and quality ingredients, you can't go wrong no matter what you decide to eat. We've tried the Birria Ramen, queso tacos, nachos and super fries, burritos, they do it all and do it well! This is one community business I genuinely enjoy supporting and will continue to do so for as long as their keep cooking

I found this little spot driving in the area and craving tacos. I was definitely not disappointed. The tacos were spot on and the asada fries were very addicting I probably ate more than I normally would have The prices were surprisingly low compared to the quantity and quality of their food. Their customer service was exceptional.

Every time I go in the mornings for Caldo de albondigas they never have the salsas because the owner isn't there. He has some lady working there that charged me for a caldo de albondigas and told me they don't even have it, then she talked to me very aggressive and told me it was my fault. I think if they had a better worker that knew what was present or had salsas ready this place would be ok. She claims to not know what's in stock even though she's been there for 2 hours .How are you suppose to be award winning caldo de albondigas if you guys don't even have it available in the mornings or fresh if that. Getting charged and told it was my fault is very insulting and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

4.5 stars.I had driven by Los Consomes multiple times on the way to 99 Ranch, and decided to finally try it out since I love soups. The interior was much smaller than I anticipated, with just a few tables. Order and pay at the counter, but your food will be brought out to you if you dine in. The interior decor was simple, but with a clever pun on the wall.Obviously, they have lots of soups on the menu, but some other non-soup dishes too. We ordered the albóndigas (meatball) soup and menudo, plus a chipotle pork taco and a slice of chocoflan. We were also given a complimentary potato flauta to try (as a sample for an upcoming new menu item). The taco was flavorful but pricey. The soups were definitely the highlight of the meal, piping hot and tasty, plus served in ceramic bowls just like in Mexico. The homemade salsa and chocoflan were also excellent. Prices were fair overall. Some of the plates/bowls were slightly chipped, which is bad luck in Chinese culture, if I am being superstitious.Service was very friendly and the lady was bilingual. There was an Asian duo dining before us (makes sense given the area) who said "gracias" with a cute accent on the way out.I really enjoyed the food and would love to come back to try more soups! Wishing this small business the best of luck as a Mexican restaurant in a highly Asian neighborhood (good thing Asians also love soup)!

I've been looking for a really good taco spot by my house and I think I finally found it. I got an Asada taco Al Pastor and a queso birria taco. I loved all of them. I did really enjoy the salsa that they gave me to put on the tacos with a little squeeze lemon it's perfect. The tortillas were also very soft and delicious. The service was quick and both gentlemen were super nice ! I'll definitely be coming back
