Lee Mangu Noodle House, a popular spot for Korean style Chinese food found in food courts throughout South Korea, has found a second home in Orange County. This location is inside the Super 1 Mart in LA Palma. The franchise is well known for their hearty servings of the two staple Korean-Chinese noodle dishes: jjajangmyeon and jjampong. The jjajangmyeon ($6.99) - noodles in a savory black bean sauce - includes diced pork, zucchini and onions and garnished with Julienned cucumbers. It is a timeless recipe. The sauce could have been seasoned more but the texture was spot on. The noodles were cooked perfectly. The jjampong ($6.99) comes in a huge serving bowl. Loaded with fresh mussels, squid, shrimp, water mushrooms and onions. The spicy, savory seafood broth was piping hot and delicious. It was, without question, the better of the two noodle options. The tangsuyeok ($11.99), or sweet and sour pork, was crispy and light. The sauce was not overly sweet nor heavy. A nice complimentary dish. The fried chicken (not on their menu board) was the surprise hit of the day. The crust was perfectly crispy and flaky. The meat was very moist and tender. Well seasoned and piping hot. Comes with pickled white radish cubes and cole slaw. A great option ordered by itself or to enjoy along with a noodle dish.Seating is limited inside their food court, especially during busy lunch hours. Any wait time, however, is worth it. Dishes are inexpensive (under $11), served generously, made to order, and delicious. Moreover, it is conveniently located in the market so you can shop for groceries before or after your meal.

Honestly really surprised by the low ratings so speaking up to support small business during COVID!My parents get the jjampong (spicy seafood noodle soup) for takeout regularly from here because not only is the price right... the servings are huge, the broth is flavorful, the seafood is aplenty. One portion fills two of us, so typically we order two portions and split among the three of us! I usually eat low carb and, even if I forego the noodles and pick at the seafood and veggies only, I am satiated!Pro tip: Call in your order and head over afterwards so you can minimize your wait!

FOOD:We heard alot of good things about the restaurant so I went with my family and ordered the chicken, jjampong, and tangsuyuk. We were not a fan of the tangsuyuk and the chicken. The chicken was alot greasier than normal fried chicken and the breading of the tangsuyuk was not appetizing. The only thing we enjoyed was the jjampong. The soup base was very delicious and it had the perfect amount of spiciness. The jjampong is the only thing we would order again. Overall, the food was decent but nothing above average.SERVICE:In excitement I approached the counter with a smile. My smile quickly disappeared with the attitude and body language of the lady at the register. As I was ordering my food the lady would quickly show her frustration when I would hesitate between my order which was only a couple of seconds. It got to the point where I stepped away and let my wife finish the order. My wife also approached the same lady and asked for napkins. Her response was, "You can get it yourself!" I was shocked with the service and because of it they lost a customer. Food was a 3 but because of the service it was a 2.

Pros: portions are huge. Especially the White/Seafood noodles. This is also the better of the two options we ate.Con: the main dish aka the black bean noodles are bland. Also the Korean women are stingy about giving you extra plates

We didn't try all menu but most we ordered was all good. We usually eat at their Buena Park Hannam location but this place was a pleasant surprise. Great service and friendly. Keep up the good work!!!

I actually like this place a lot. I'm surprised by the negative reviews. The spicy seafood soup is my favorite. It's hearty and definitely big enough for two people to share and then add a side of the sweet & sour pork to make the meal complete. The service isn't the best but Korean restaurants are notorious for that. In terms of food, I quite enjoy it here.

Little fly jumped in the noodle before my kid began to eat.Asked for an extra bowl to dump the noodles into a new bowl, not asked for making a new dish. The old lady with black frame glasses got angry and gave me an evil look. LolNot worth to come again!
