The best spot for homemade tamales and menudo, but they sell so much more than just those. They take credit cards now, thank goodness, and they open early, and close early. You can place large orders, but for those, you do need to pay cash up front. There is only one little table with two chairs outside for anyone who wants to eat there, otherwise, it's To Go.

My family and I have been going to La Poblana bakery back when it used to be off Grand in Santa Ana, it was owned by different people then. It was SO delicious, family from LA would travel for the bread. It got sold and moved to Orange, the owners changed the recipes and it was no longer any good. I tried it several different times, either it was burnt or extremely dry. The man working the front was always rude as well. It's sad to see it go down. And now, I think they're closed for good. I pass by every morning and it's been closed for about a week now.

She said yes.... only to.find they are not bolillo salado she told me.well "they all have salt" therefore they are salado. Tamales frozen about the only thing I liked was the champurrado. 17.0o dollars 4 bolillos 2 tamales one champurrado. Never again ....!! I wouldn't give it no 5 stars must be the only pan dulce place on that area.

We were in the area and craving pan dulce/tamales. Found this one and wanted to try it out. We got some pan dulce and a couple tamales. Pan dulce was alright not my fave. As far as the tamales go they are a 7/10. The flavor is good and plenty of sauce and chicken. Only thing is, for the price they are rather small. We've tried tamales from other places and probably they're around the same price but double the size. Would I go here again?! Not sure I guess only if I'm in the area but wouldn't drive there just for the bread and tamales.

Disappointed with their beef torta de tamal. Barely any meat and flavor. They didn't toast the torta bread at all. I think they just threw the whole sandwich in the microwave with the sad tamale squeezed in between. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND.Also got the pambazo and it was mostly beans. Bread also NOT toasted. Lacking flavor as well.Chicken tamale $3.50 each. Was ok, nice that it was very hot but that's about it, nothing special about flavor, standard tamale size.Customer service is awkward. Wanted to try their breads but I can tell they weren't good and they are using the wrong dough mixture for the types of bread they have. They are using the same dough for almost all the sweet breads there. For example the croissant texture is not what it's suppose to be at all thus already looks stale.Overall, wouldn't be back. This business seems to lack passion in their work and cutting corners.

Food is ok, but the prices are exaggerated. A tamale is $4, which you can find between $2 to $3 anywhere else. The prices are extremely high. You can get better items at another place.
