La Perla Restaurant

"Where do we start...? Good atmosphere and service, it's the first Mexican restaurant that doesn't want to copy the concept of meaningless colored lights and noisy like a club, which I appreciate. The atmosphere is pleasant, but I didn't find symmetry in the way the restaurant is arranged, a patio or deck a little bit dirty and dusty, they need some cleaning in the bathrooms and hallways, but I don't think it affects the operation. The food is different, I tried the short rib tacos and the ceviche trio, something flat for my taste... they need to improve a lot to be successful. But anyways...

I've heard about this place so much but hadn't had a chance to go until recently. I ordered food to go and it was basically just Taco Tuesday orders. They have 5 kinds of tacos: chicken, asada, Al pastor, chorizo and crispy potato. They were all good but the potato ones had 3x the amount of purple cabbage vs actual potato. The bartender took my order and he was super cool and friendly. Idk his name but he has a calculator watch lol. I'll be back to try other items for sure.

Great service. Food was fantastic. Love the ambiance. Andrea our server was exceptional.

NOT WORTH IT!!!! I would not come back again, we came to celebrate my grandmas birthday. Mind you, we aren't picky people. But the food was bad, chicken was so dry. We ate it and didn't complain because we didn't want to be those people. I asked for my refills 4 times and didn't get it until way later..... to top it off they did a 20% service fee.... $30 for a party of 6. For what??? lol they left a jar of water on the tables... I ended up walking at taking to the waitress before I left and told her I didn't know it was a 20% tip. And that the chicken was dry I barley got my refills.... It was a joke. She just said "ohhh ok" and continued on to her day. Do not give you business to these people.

I came here for Mother's Day and then I came back again for brunch and all I have to say is the food is delicious. I honestly was skeptical about this because it was going viral everywhere and I was like it's probably just a nice location and the food isn't that good but I am so glad I came because I will definitely come back here all the time see my pictures attached this is what I eat and a 10 out of 10. We had a great server, Samantha and on top of that we also met the owner. She is so amazing and talked about the authenticity of the food that she brings from Mexico so definitely come here for brunch, lunch or dinner.!!!!!!!!!! This food doesn't compare to any other fancy obnoxious restaurants that are trending. Sorry, not hating but just had to say it. LOOOL

Way overpriced, chicken was over cooked, side of beans and rice were extremely small. I was expecting gourmet food but it was mediocore at best. If you go during happy hour be ready to put in multiple drink requests at once since the servers are not that attentive with the happy hour cut off time. Won't be back, wouldn't recommend.

This place has the perfect vibe and service. The food is fresh and delicious. We loved the ceviche and tacos we ordered. Great place for a special occasion. If you don't see a drink you like you can always ask the bartender and he will mix up a great drink for you. Great customer service.

No Air conditioning in this joint, uncomfortable, stuffy and small. Had 1 round of drinks and left didn't get to order food.

In short .. don't waste your $ or time. No value, no quality! My son and I selected this restaurant to celebrate our Easter Sunday. The ambiance seem fair but it had limited seating so we ended up sitting outside. The waitress was not knowledgeable of the menu couldn't make a recommendation. Her lack of English didn't help but Im Hispanic so I started speaking Spanish hoping that would make a difference and would get more input and ideas of the menu but it was clear she was just not knowledgeable of the foods. We really didn't have an idea what to order. The menu had no picture either. So, to play it safe we ordered a Carnitas Torta not a hard concept and who could screw that up .. right? Wrong! It was two big buns with minimal amount of carnitas sitting in tomato soup. That is NOT Torta. It lack the meat, the beans, avocado, lettuce, tomatoes everything you expect in a Torta it was NOT. If you're going to put your own spin on it then don't call it a Torta. Drink prices are through the roof. We walked out of there with a bill of $98 for a flat of 5-1 oz margaritas they were literally like tester size and 2 Torta floating in soup it was such a bad experience we will not go back and do not recommend this place to anyone.

The food and service is incredible. Everything on the menu is spot on. I can't wait to go back!!
