L'Antica Pizzeria Da Michele Belmont Shore

I have been here about 5 times to sit at the bar. Only once have I tried the food and I was blown away. The pizza we ordered was perfectly cooked Napoli style, the sauce and toppings were fresh and fantastic. A little pricey which is why I haven't been back yet, but it's on my to do list!The service at the bar has been wonderful every time. The bartender Shay is so fun and sweet and kind. Good vibe, nice ambiance, when it was busy one time I noticed how nice the energy in the room was. Can't wait to come back for more food!

My wife and I are from the Bay Area and we often visit Long Beach with our daughters family that live here in Belmont Shores.We couldn't make a reservation on Sat because the restaurant was booked. We ordered 3 pizzas for pick up.. Margherita, Diavola and Pesto. All were very tasty italian pizzas. Not to airy of a cornicione but very soft and crunchy with a nice bite. The inside is beautifully decorated and the staff is attentive and courteous. My only nip for 1 star deduction is that I think the pizzas are a bit on the pricey side compared to other italian pizzas I have had. I don't buy too many restaurant pizzas because I have my own backyard pizza ovens which I do myself.So far the best pizzas here in Long Beach that I have tried are.. L'Antica and LA Parolaccia. I have tried a few italian pizzas here in L.B that shouldnt even be called italian but claim to be. It wouldn't in Italy trust me. Pizzas like, Domino's, Papa John's, Pizza Hut, Round Table.. ect ect, are not in the same league and shouldn't be confused.

I'm hoping this isn't one of my novel sized ratings because this place is SO AMAZING, I could go on and ONNNN! And I wish I was there now. My dog, Kennedy, & I were in the market for Italian, while we stayed at our airbnb on a short getaway close by. I door dashed L'Antica for us, husband joined later. We ordered La Diavola, Spaghetti Pomadoro, Meatballs & the Beet Salad. Holy molyyyyyy...and yes even as door dash. The pizza was amazing! Naples style. Came with reheating instructions for the oven and it was perfect. The spaghetti is house made and delicious with authentic rustic red sauce - omg. The beet salad knocked our socks off! Well not the dog, she stuck to spaghetti and a little bit of meatballs. But my husband and I were astounded by the amazing flavor and enjoyment. The meatballs were so tasty and beefier tasting over bread crumbs like other meatballs I'm not the biggest fan of anywhere else. I forgot to mention, they sent side bread sticks. I dipped those in that amazing rustic red sauce the meatballs were swimming in - WOW!!We loved it so much, we took our entire family to dine there the very next day. We ordered the same items, but added the basil pasta and the pizza that has the spicy peppers to it. Again, holy moly...or mamma Mia, rather! I can't say enough about the food here it is just something you have to experience! When we dined in the ambiance was wonderful and the service was friendly warm quick and wonderful. I think the best way to put it is just what I said, this is just something you have to experience, especially in person, but even delivered by DoorDash! It is so amazing.

A second visit to the restaurant and still WORTH EVERY BITE. I was thrilled to find that it STILL lives up to its high standards. The service was excellent, the food was beyond delicious, and the atmosphere felt perfect for any occasion. For us, we invited a friend and her family to introduce to the new neighborhood that we just moved to. This time, I tried a few new dishes. The ZUCCHINI FLOWERS were light, interesting, and a delightful appetizer to start the meal. The GRILLED BRANZINO was perfectly cooked and flavorful. It was so good that my friend's three-year-old son devoured half on his own. We also shared the PESTO PIZZA, which turned out to be a showstopper. It's easily one of the best non-marinara pizzas I've ever tried. This restaurant STILL continues to impress, and I can't wait to return for another memorable meal.

I went to L'Antica Pizzeria Da Michele for my birthday dinner and was completely wowed. The restaurant interior is modern, but cozy. It was very inviting to see the pizza oven in the building as well. Our server, Cheyenne, gave a little intro about the history of the restaurant and the type of pizzas that they make. She also shared some of the popular items on the menu.My absolute favorite dish was the pesto pizza. The fresh burrata was phenomenal and had a delightful truffle oil flavor. The pesto flavor was incredible! The double margherita pizza was a solid take on a classic. I loved the extra cheese. I thought the Diavola would be insanely good, but surprisingly the spicy salami lacked a strong flavor. It definitely needed the side sauce/pepper flakes. The caesar salad was fresh with a beautiful umami flavor from the anchovy dressing. The radicchio provided some bitterness, but overall very tasty. For dessert, we got the olive oil cake with gelato. Our server also gave me a scoop of hazelnut gelato and some delicious cookies for my birthday!I can't wait to come back to L'Antica and order another pesto pizza!

Quick and friendly service and an excellent Negroni are consistent factors here.The food can be a little more hit and miss. Caprese salad had tooth breaking element to it to balance out the good mozzarella. Pizza to go, a miss. Pizza here better opportunity for success. Cacio Pepe a miss- soupy and so wrong. Pappardelle Genovese is a grand slam! Perfect pasta and the short rib haunts my memories- couldn't ever have too much of this luscious dish. Finish with a strong affogato but skip the desserts. We tried three and they all need work. Great wine selection with a fair pour. Looking forward to trying the Tagliatelle Verde and the Bolognese.

Pizza is delish - Loved the salmon, mashed potatoes, and broccoliniAdvice - Dress up just a little. I went in a crop top sweater with high raised joggers. Had a great time.
