KyoChon Chicken - Rowland Height

I've always heard about KyoChon's popularity in Korea, and let me just say--it didn't disappoint.We arrived around 5 PM on a Wednesday, and the place was practically empty. Ordering was super straightforward--the cashier at the front was incredibly friendly and answered all our questions with a smile. Bonus points for a spotless interior, including the bathrooms, which is always a good sign.We went with the 16-piece combo and chose two flavors: Honey and Soy Garlic. The chicken was perfection. Total time of ordering to receiving the food was about 15 minutes.The batter is slightly different from what you'd expect--it seemed extra crispy and lighter than some of its competitors, letting the sauce really shine. The Honey flavor was the clear winner for me; it's sweet but not overpowering, with just the right amount of stickiness.Honestly, this is a strong contender among Rowland Heights' Korean fried chicken elite, holding its own against heavy hitters like bb.q Chicken & Pelicana. Dare I say, it might even edge them out.Tl;DR - If you're in the area and craving some next-level Korean fried chicken, KyoChon is absolutely worth a visit.

I love coming back to this plaza, there are many big name restaurants within this plaza so parking will be a little tricker depending on the time of day. I love that this plaza has a fried chicken shop so there are a variety of options. Honey Fried Chicken, 10 piece boned in wing: The chicken itself was fried well. Not greasy. Chicken was lightly glazed with honey. Interior of chicken was juicy and hot. Coating was light but not too heavy battered. I would recommend choosing honey if you wanted a lighter flavor. Mix Green Large Salad: Salad was a nice dish to get, should've gotten a small dish for two people since it was a lot of food. If you get RANCH as your side sauce, it taste amazing to me because it's the lightest ranch I've ever tasted. Each person was given about 9-12 bite sized radish pieces. Cassava Chips: Tasted more of your standard freshly cut potato chips from the fryer. Side of Fries: Loved that these fries are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Potato cuts were long and thin. Tip: If you dine in, the side of pickled radish and casava chips comes as a free service. Checking in on Yelp will also get you a small side of regular fries.

My favorite corn dog place nearby closed down so I was sad and wanted to try something new. KyoChon big in Korea so wanted to try them out here. Red was definitely a gonchujang mixed sweet and spicy flavor. These were all boneless, crunchy, and tender pieces of dark meat!Nirvana at the front was super sweet and threw in a couple Honey wings for me to try! Definitely will come back to try more flavors and some sides.

Great honey fried chicken and was so happy for them to open in Rowland Heights. Honestly the chicken in Korean town is much better and stays crispy. While this location has thesame taste it does stay crispy. They seem slow and parking cam be annoying at the YES plaza locations

The chicken here is so good! Everytime I order it is always really tasty! The food and the service are always amazing. I appreciate going to pick up my order, it is always clean and well kept. Must try!

Cashier is nice and ordering was easy.We love KyoChon chicken (it is my boyfriend's go-to in Korea), so we realllly wanted to like this location near home. However the flavor seems localized and quite different than what we expected. We got the Soy Garlic wings and the Ssal Ssal chicken strips. The chicken was overdone, dry, and was more hard than crispy. It cut my mouth in 3 places lol. It also tasted like the oil was reused one too many times. The breading was very thick and so the taste got heavier with each bite. On top of that, it was kind of bland. Also, a big gripe for me is that the sauce portion is tiny. We got the Kyochon red and the honey mustard sauce add ons for our medium Ssal ssal chicken order. They both tasted fantastic. However, the containers (your typical small deli sauce containers) came 1/3 full. We ran out of sauce before we got halfway through the order, even though we dipped very very little per piece. And though I typically prefer fried chicken without sauce, I needed it for this meal because the chicken was pretty dry without the sauce. In the end I couldn't finish the chicken. TBH this place is pretty pricey and I'm ok with paying that premium for delish Korean chicken. However it just felt cheap to include so little sauce and the chicken style was not for me.

30 some pcs of fried chicken for 28 bucks? Top it off with 15% off for the daily deal? Score. And it comes with free mu pickled radish.The flavors are spot on. Not too sweet and crispy without tasting greasy. Because of the amount of cuts/pieces, the chicken are tiny and there are a lot of breading vs meat. Except for drum and wings, they're the juiciest pieces. But it's great for you breading lovers.They have pretty good options for the sides; potato wedges, fries, sweet potato fries. We went with fries, it's mcd style. Nothing special, but a nice variety between the bites.The fried chicken is always freshly fried, so expect about 20 min wait. What we did is call ahead so the food is ready by the time we get there.

Location: Located in yes plaza, there's plenty of parking! Service: The employee helping us was super nice! She helped us with the promos and explained the menu items. They had some nice weekday deals too. Buy one get one 50% off for their drumsticks and 15% off their spicy soy garlic. The place was clean and had nice pop music playing. The server kept checking up on us to make sure everything was good! Food:Kyochon drumsticks- honeySweet and light/airy crispy. These were my favorite! Usually wings are super saucy but these were light and the chicken was really tender. - crispyNot much flavor on this one, but still tender and crispy Wings - soy garlic A little on the drier side but good flavor! Soy garlic is my next fav flavor - red Super spicy but addictingSides- mozzarella sticks Nothing special but cheese is always good- tteokbokki Yummy and spicy, portion was a bit small Pretty good chicken place! It does take a while for the food to come out but it comes out piping hot. Recommend trying this place out if you want a lighter/less oily and fatty fried chicken meal!
