KoKo Chicken & BBQ

I have to admit.. I'm addicted to Koko's. First time I try Koko's was at Garden Grove/ Westminster. I also tried the Buena Park location and now the 3rd restaurant. Hopefully, they will open a restaurant in San Diego soon . The restaurant is so chill and laid back. The menu is simple, but delicious!!We always order the Tteok-bokki carbonara. This dish stays in my dream!! It's so good!! It's so good that we share with friends and family and they love it too. Should've got 2 order but the kitchen close. The soy chicken is so crunchy and perfectly seasoned! It's slightly sweet and salty. The perfect combo!! Service is amazing! We order our food and drinks. And the server brought us water without us asking. He is a mind reader! Great food, drinks, and ambiance! The service is also amazing!! Please come to San Diego .

Solid Korean fried chicken.Came here to satisfy a fried chicken craving. The servers start you off with a salad and radish kimchi which go really well with fried chicken. We ordered a half portion with sweet soy sauce. It was my first time trying the sweet soy sauce, it was solid. We also ordered a large dukpokki with ramen. The spice level comfortable, and the dukbokki had good chew. The service here is great, no complaints from me. The restaurant has tvs located around with sports games playing. The place is well kept and clean.

Tried out KoKo Chicken as I was craving some solid KFC - Korean Fried Chicken. Based on the Yelp reviews, this place was legit.Ordered via phone for pickup which would be ready in approx 20 mins. Got to the resto ahead of the 20 min timeline so I paid for my order and waited for about 7 mins. I am guessing they forgot to tell me right when my food was ready because when I was handed the bag, I could feel the box of chicken was warm but not hot. Took my 12 piece soy wings with accompanying moo (pickled radish cubes) to go and tucked in right when I arrived home.Taste was good - chix not dry and the exterior had a nice coating of soy sauce. The wings weren't crispy or crunchy and I get that the fried chix is tossed in a wet sauce that can make the coating lose its crunch, but other places have been able to maintain the crisp despite being slathered in sauce. The not so crispy coating kept falling off of the wings when eating. I also felt the chicken itself under the skin lacked seasoning. Also, personal preference - I would have liked the soy flavor to have had a punch of garlic, but that's just me.Overall, a pretty good KFC experience that satisfied my craving.

My first taste of KFC was at KoKo in Buena Park and it has set the standard in taste, crispness and satisfaction. Delicious! Amazing! Fresh!! I've been eating this chicken thru doordash for awhile but never had a chance to sit and eat it at the restaurant. The employee greeted us very friendly and we got a table right away. I already knew what i wanted and got the 12 pc regular fried chicken with sweet soy on the side.They give you cabbage with thousand island type dressing on the side too which my husband devoured. I snorked up all the chicken which is crispy hot and juicy.Restaurant is very clean including the bathrooms and decorated with gas can labels and other cool stuff. We were never neglected by our server. Limited parking as its a smaller lot. Forget all the fried chicken you had before - THIS is the place to go!

Of the 4 KFC (korean fried chicken) places in the area Koko is a standout. There's never a wait and their signature crispy koko wings are always consistent. Meat is juicy and batter is crunchy. 12 wings is usually good for 2-3 based on hunger level. Their sauces are also good, especially their hot sauce. Love that the corn cheese doesn't have pineapple in it lol. Cabbage salad simple and good too, and fries are also battered for that crunch. Service is amazing great.

These last days of scorching heat have me craving some well made fried chicken wings. Came here for lunch with my daughter on a Thursday afternoon and we were the only dine in customers. Very minimal decor and functional design: tabletops and booths along the back wall, with some louvre barriers between. Chicken wings came out hot and crispy, with accompanying hot or sweet sauces for dipping. Well seasoned and tender bites, I prefer flats over drummette pieces, but these seemed to be equal in number (we got the 24 pieces).French fries are so well done here: there is a thin batter over them to help with the crisp, and quite tender texture. Dipping sauce of ketchup in a takeaway sauce container rather than the usual squeeze bottle.Very crisp shredded cabbage with a slightly tangy spicy thousand island dressing, also refillable. The cubed daikon in a sweet vinaigrette is also a nice crunchy contrast for the chicken. Each table is provided with a garbage pail for al your bones and napkins.

Dropped by as it was highly recommended by a friend, and would say it didn't disappoint! It is a great spot to go if you have the late night munchies.The service is great! Everything came out pretty quick and came out hot. There is only two front staff and they did come check on a few times to see if we needed anything.I would say that if love spicy foods, the default for the Dukpokki and the hot sauce for the chicken isn't spicy. My friend, who has spicy foods once in awhile, said it was decently spicy. So if you do like super spicy it may need to be adjusted. The Dukpokki has a very nice chew to it and did well to pick up the sauce. The sauce on the Dukpokki had good flavor, it was a good balance of sweet and spicy for a late night snack. The fried chicken was also very delicious! The chicken came out very hot and it was super crispy. We got the chicken with the hot sauce, and it was alright as the sauce wasn't really to our liking. Would definitely try a different sauce or just stick the original as the original is always good. Would definitely come back again!

This KFC is AMAZING! I came with a big party of 10 on the weekend and they were able to accommodate us super fast. The restaurant wasn't huge but it was a good enough size. We ordered the soy wings and dukpokki and it was fire!! The wings were finger licking good. The batter was perfectly done with the sauce on top. We shared amongst 3 and still had leftovers. Staff were really great with getting us the side items like daikon and salad including refills which I'm not sure if they do unlimited sides.
