I really enjoyed this shushi place. Came here with my family to celebrate my sister and mines birthday. The food was all really good. The sashimi was fresh and they added a little toppings to make it even more delicious. The appetizers and sushi were so good and all had different interesting flavors that I've never had before.Our waiter was excellent! He got all our orders correct, came by often and gave great suggestions.As for the restaurant itself, it is like walking into a colorful festive Japanese fantasy. It's a really cool place. It's small and cozy but tables are spread out enough.We really had a great time. I'll be back with my sister to try eating at the sushi bar.

Just ate there today. Just moved into the neighborhood. I love sushi and have it at least 6 times a month. The sushi was pretty good. I asked the server what hand roll was good and they recommended a scallop roll. And I asked him if they could make it spicy because I like spicy scallop. He said sure. The roll came back, not spicy just a regular scallop roll and when I brought it to his attention, he said they would fix it. He brought the rollback and they just squirted a little sauce on top of it. I also asked twice for another napkin because he had taken mine with my empty plates. I had to eat my last hand roll without any napkins. I still tipped 20% because my daughter's server and I know they depend on that to live. But I definitely will be searching elsewhere for a favorite sushi restaurant in the area.

First glance inside, the interior was aesthetic as you actually feel like you've stepped in a sushi joint in Japan.Their philly roll was good, the baked scallops had too much sauce for my liking and the rolls were just California rolls pretty much.The fried tempura was good, it was crispy and crunch. However, I only got 1 piece of shrimp- which I didn't like. I feel like 2-3 pieces of shrimp is a good amount. The salmon sushi was pretty fresh.Overall, this is definitely a decent place to get some sushi. I'm just not sure if the quality from the food I've ordered was worth the price.

Sashimi was decent except for the tuna that was tough and chewy. The chicken dish was "upgraded" and o chicken breast and was so dry as well as being tough that after eating 3 pieces, I rinsed the rest and fed it to my dogs who had to really chew it. The driver (grub hub) was also horrible. He took about an hour and a half so that's most likely why ALL of it was room temperature. Nothing hot was hot and nothing cold was cold. The driver has nothing to do with the quality of the food tho. We were really really hungry too. :(No thank you. They can keep their food. No need to try it again.

My experience at Koisan sums up to the following:- Valentine's Omakase is an overpriced sashimi platter with 6 types of fish that the server had no idea how to describe. He could not tell us what fish was what. Will not come back for omakase. I expected sushi, not sashimi. If I wanted to get sashimi I would've order all the same fish off their sashimi menu. Albeit the omakase is significantly cheaper than buying off the sashimi menu, but when someone advertises omakase I expect sushi. The servers were also very transparent about telling us that this was the first time they have ever done omakase, as they had asked my husband if we wanted to just share 1!?! How do you share 1 omakase course. No offense to the one who served us they were just doing their job, but still confused as to why that question was even asked. - They probably specialize in rolls, not sushi. We ordered a couple hand rolls which were very good. I would not come back for omakase, though. I am sorry, I do not care how inexpensive it was, but I regret cancelling my other reservation for this place. It is Valentine's, the one excuse many spouses have to request a special day with their spouse, and I did not have a fun experience like I've had at different omakase restaurants. -The dessert was great! Even though the appetizers and extra dishes were subpar and cost extra.- The noice volume was great! Very quiet, I enjoyed the ambience and the theme of the restaurant. - The bogo sake and buy five get one off oysters were good as pictured below. I just thought the seasoning they put over the oysters were a little much, and I thought one of the oysters were fishy (my husband didn't). So take my word for it or don't. Thank you.
