Delicious food as to be expected. We particularly enjoyed the the following:-Kampachi yuzukosho-Crispy dragon roll-Salmon Blue CrabBeen twice and it was great both times! Great place for a date (or double date) and honestly it is not that expensive - we spent just a little over $30/person each time we went (no alcohol)

This place feels just like being in Japan. It's small but feels cozy and authentic. They have an amazing omakase here, and for such great value at only $50. I thought at first it wouldn't be filling enough, but to my surprise I felt even more than content by the end.You get to choose between Uni or TORO part of your set. I wanted both so I just ended up choosing TORO on the set, and ordering Uni on the side since it was cheaper to buy Uni al la carte than the market price of TORO. Also really enjoyed the A5 Wagyu and Anago. Flavors were immaculate.Servers were incredibly nice. They even gave us complimentary salmon collar as well as ice cream (probably since we one of the last people in the restaurant). Of note, omakase is only served on weekdays. We had reservations which was pretty crowded at 7, but by 8 the restaurant was more or less empty.

Came here for their omakase and it was worth the visit. It's a great value at $50 but it's only available on weekdays at dinner time. I was more than full by the end of the meal but everything in the omakase was delicious. There are multiple items that come out but the star of the show is the main dish with pieces of nigiri each with a different fish. My favorite was the scallop! Their ice creams were good too. I usually get matcha but this time I opted for red bean and I liked it more than the matcha flavor they had. The service was good. Never had trouble flagging down a waiter. Parking was easy. It's a shared lot with some other businesses. Will definitely come back

This place is a hidden gem! Came here with a few friends on a Wednesday Night to try their 13 item $50 Omakase special. The plaza is large and there is plenty of parking. There were quite a lot of people waiting and luckily we made reservations for 7pm. The restaurant has a Glico man poster on their door and you are immediately reminded of Japan. The ambiance gives Japan street sushi vibes. The sushi was high quality, staff were pleasant, and the vibes were spectacular. I definitely recommend giving Kaori Sushi a try!

Visited this place for Saturday dinner and the place was packed. I made a reservation and got seated right away. The service is very attentive and sweet. As for the food, it's a bit disappointing since I highly expected authentic sushi place. We ordered eihire (stingray) and to my dismay, it's very inedible, so hard to bite and dry. The sashimi is decent and the tako wasabi is more to the sweeter side. My daughter wanted to try their Uni pasta and it's very disappointing since the price is $20, but the portion is very very small. The taste is pretty good, but it's not worth it for the amount we paid. Their rolls are decent as well. Lastly, we ordered yuzu lychee and it's very very good, can really taste the lychee and it's refreshing. Overall it's a par experience at Kaori.

Always looking for a good non AYCE Japanese sushi restaurant. Kaori delivers. Similar to another favorite of mine, but more of a focus on sushi. My wife and I decided to go Ala-cart and Kaori did not disappoint.Fish was fresh and a few of the cut roll recipes were unique sounding so that's what we ordered. We started with mixed tempura, then hamachi and amberjack nigiri. The tempura was battered right and fried to perfection. The fish was firm and fresh as expected and the sushi rice was actually mixed with mirin as it should be. We ordered two cut rolls and I can't remember the names, but one had jalapeño on top but used blow crab instead of imitation crab, which makes all the difference in the world when it comes to taste. The other cut roll was a no rice roll with various sashimi, seaweed salad and spicy tuna wrapped in cucumber. Fresh and delicious. Finished the meal with a hamachi Kama (yellowtail collar) and toro nigiri. Loved it. Yes it's more expensive than all u. An eat, but so worth it if you like quality over quantity.Oishi

What a Gem. Quality Food and Sake. Ambience is very intimate and small but cozy. They are always busy but we never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes. Parking is easy too. Not to mention they are mentioned on Michelin Guide. !!!

Located in a small area with other restaurants, the exterior structure of yellow chopsticks draws your attention immediately that it is hard to miss. By my friend's recommendation, we visited this place for the first time so we were excited since I have heard lots of great things about them. From outside to inside, it has an izakaya vibe with cute Japanese decorations. When you step inside, it has a moody Japanese traditional paper lamps that immediately takes you to Japan. The server is very polite and serious in a good way. He double checked our orders and moved fast getting the food and drinks. I didn't know that they close at 2pm and reopen at 5pm but the server didn't rush us. Instead, he asked if there is anything we need and didn't even let us know that they were closing soon.I ordered Chirashi Sashimi Bowl (regular) to test out the basic and they nailed it. My friends ordered a bento box with teriyaki chicken, a la carte sushi, etc., which I tried and they were all great quality. I would like to try other dishes next time.

TLDR: quaint Japanese restaurant with a cozy, dark interior, amazing staff, super fresh fish, generous portions, best roll: Saturday night roll 10/10-would come just for that, miso soup was a bit saltyMy husband and I recently dined at Kaori for our anniversary dinner and had an overall fantastic experience. We wanted good quality sushi and service. The service was exceptional--three waiters/bussers/hosts were handling everything from seating guests to answering phone calls. These multitasking pros were on top of their game, constantly moving and making sure every table was well taken care of. Despite being busy, service was fast and efficient. The food quality was equally impressive. The fish, especially, was super fresh and full of flavor. We ordered the teriyaki beef (ribeye) bento plate, and the portions were generous, with large pieces of sashimi that didn't disappoint. Baked salmon roll was good, had a kick or spice but tolerable. The standout dish was the Saturday Night Roll-- the blue crab was incredibly fresh, and the yellowtail literally melted in your mouth. Would definitely come back to have this roll again. It was so good that we almost ordered a second one, but we were too full. The staff was understanding when we canceled that second order last minute, which we really appreciated. As for the ambience, the restaurant is a cute and quaint Japanese spot with a dark interior and minimal lighting, giving it a cozy and intimate vibe. It's the perfect setting for a relaxed meal. The only downside was the miso soup, which was a bit on the salty side. Sadly, they had run out of tempura ice cream by the time we ordered dessert. However, they were generous enough to offer us complimentary lychee sorbet, which was a nice touch. We also eyed the yuzu sorbet but were too full to try it--definitely on our list for next time. Will definitely be back!

Went for dining in this week, maybe only my 2nd time to dine in (but ordered take out plenty of times). And what a surprise to see an omakase special menu! I didn't look closely at first and proceeded to figure out what to get from the sushi menu sheet (like get tons of black cod, lol)But then I looked at the omakase offering again and...Wow, it had great pieces like Uni or Toro, A5 wagyu sushi which I've never tried before, and it had my favorites like Black Cod, Bluefin (with truffle to boot!), and even Hotate. The list of included food looked like a great deal for $50, so we all went for it, even my kid with his own full omakase!(he started loving sushi ever since the last time I brought home a big order from Kaori. he loved the black cod and the bluefin before, so this worked perfect for him too in getting his favs and trying new ones to widen his horizon).Ended up being a great choice for everyone! And it was a lot of food too!- Cucumbers = like Japanese pickles, was good to munch on to clean the mouth to prepare for the meal. But I didn't care for the jujube or whatever the red one was, and revisited the pickles only:)- Miso soup with clams = this miso soup was loaded up with fresh clams and even mussels in it. Wow, it was warming and great clam touched miso soup!- 2 pieces sashimi = came as salmon and I guess yellowtail. Huge cuts. Cuts were a tad cold though so not as smooth as the sushi pieces (maybe the sushi pieces gets to perfect temps from handling, I don't know lol).- Sushi = plate of 6 pieces came out first (you have to choose Uni or Toro for 1 of the pieces, I went uni, wife got toro). Then the 2 grilled pieces of wagyu and sea eel.Everything was fresh and delicious. Loved my fresh uni and of course the favorite black cod (could probably just eat 10 of those and be done). Finally got to try a Wagyu sushi, can't go wrong with beef and rice, lol.I'm not much of an eel eater, whether the regular unagi or the anago? here. Ate the piece, but I never really enjoy eel. Wonder if I can ask to sub a different basic item, I would love to have a saba mackerel even, or an albacore instead of eel.- Lobster hand roll = by this time you are full and basically "topping up" the gas tank. Maybe too full or I'm just not a fan of lobster, but a crab roll or spicy tuna roll would have been better for me for more flavor. Conclusion is, this new $50 omakase menu is a fantastic new deal!!!*** Menu says dinner for MON~THURS.I guess less busy those weekdays, but this omakase menu should definitely bring in the diners who want a deal during these inflated times! Will be a tough choice next time, whether I want to get a bunch of black cod and other pieces to take home, or to take advantage of this deal...- Large hot sake = could be hotter, but it's always good either way.- Yuzu sherbert = refreshing mouth cleanser post meal.
