Jeong’s Noodles

Just had dinner here as it was new and close by Hmart. The inside was small and comfy. You order the food and pick up your food from the front. Ordered the number 1, black bean noodles and it was flavorful (5/5). The noodles were lovely and chewy, which coated well with the black bean sauce. The sauce had bits of meats, onions, lettuce, and other veggies. It was silky enough to coat the noodles but not overly chunky.Ordered the sweet and sour pork, (5/5) and visually it looked like shrimps. The pork was fluffy and crispy, the batter reminds me of shrimp chips. It was a light and airy that allows you to get that crunchy when you bite into it. The dipping sauce was delicious, filled with various veggies and pineapple chunks. Definitely need to come back for the jambong and other noodle dishes!

This restaurant is right next to Kaju so one night, when Kaju was super jam and wait time was over an hour, we decided to try it-why not, the place was packed as well but wait was less than 5 minutes.You order your food at the counter, sit down, and when it's ready, you go to the counter to pick it up. Once done, you also return the dirty dishes to the counter. Very minimal contact with anyone-that's why there's only a cashier..so don't expect much assistance.We ordered a dry noodle and the crab soup. The portion was gigantic. If you don't eat much, one plate is more than enough; thus they use the same type of noodles and ingredients-one has spicy broth and the other has hoisin sauce.It's very rich in ingredients/seasoning and sauce. A bit too much for me. The stir fry noodles was drenched in hoisin sauce-I love sauce but it was a bit much for me. Defiantly a preference when it comes to the taste but not something I would crave...

I hit up a local Korean-Chinese fusion spot to get a quick jajangmyeon fix. Jeong's Noodles is located in the H-Mart Plaza in Garden Grove, between Kaju Tofu and 92 Chicken restaurants. Jeong's is more of a fast food/self-service style restaurant where you order at the front by the cashier, sit down anywhere you want, then pick up the food when it's ready. Water is also self-service.I got their jajamgmyeon which was ready with a side of kimchi and sweet radish, within 10 minutes or so. The texture of the noodles was good, bouncy and chewy as it should be. The black bean sauce, however, was a bit lacking. The flavor was there but the content, such as the meat and vegetables, was very minimal and substandard. Overall the jajangmyeon was a quick and decent meal, but it did not meet my expectation.

I've been waiting to try the jajang myeon from this restaurant ever since I saw the "Opening Soon" sign, but unfortunately my experience with the dish was disappointing.The portion was good for the price and the noodles were cooked fine, but the sauce was incredibly salty--I've never had jajang myeon even close to that level of saltiness. Service was quick and the staff were very friendly and welcoming though, so I'm willing to give yhe restaurant another shot. I'm also curious about jjampong.

We got their black bean beef glass noodle on a sizzling plate. For $25 it serves two people with extra to take home.Next time, we wanna try their spicy beef noodle soup and fried dumplings. Service was fast and friendly. The owner helped us cut the long noodles. Ambiance is relaxed with korean ballads playing. It is a chain but new to this area. There was no wait and we appreciated it. We wish they had more drink options

Stopped by on a Saturday night and there was a mix of customers ordering to-go and dining in. For dining in, you order and pick up your food from the counter. Ordered the beef brisket jjampong and jjajangmyeon for party of 2 and it was so much food! The jjampong probably can serve at least 2-3 people. The flavors were on point and noodles were perfectly chewy. Jjajangmyeon doesn't come with much toppings, but they gave the pickled radish and kimchi on the side. The value of the food is great. Restaurants was clean and service was quick.

I live 50min away from this place and tomorrow I'm going here for the 3rd time. The best Korean noodles I ever had. I ordered #4 beef brisket jjiangpong every time. I took my family here last time, and they all liked the dish. My cousin even looked for the same kind of noodles when she visited Korea weeks ago because she missed the flavor.

Jeong's specializes in 2 items: jjampong and jiajiamyung noodles. It's so good, especially on a cold winter's day! Food: high quality ingredients, not greasy or oily, and good seafood flavorAmbience: clean Korean diner style Service: Nice lady at the counterTIP: Order extra noodles with the jjampong and you can feed 2-3 people. What a bargain!

We were so excited to see a new Jjampong / jjajjamyeon restaurant open up next to HMart! Their menu features the OG version of each dish along with slightly different versions - clam jjampong, oyster jjampong, and jjajjang beef. Since it was our first time, we decided to try the original versions first. The Korean auntie who took our orders was super friendly and nice. You order at the counter before choosing a table. The black bean noodles had great flavor, but the sauce could've been thicker. The noodles were nice and chewy. The jjampong was better, in our opinion. Filled with generous servings of mussels and squid, the broth was rich and had a great kick. We will definitely be back to try their other dishes!
