Delicious food, trendy vibes, and great service. Easy five star rating. My family are huge dumplings fans even though I'm not so much. But I do love asian cuisine and always enjoy non-dumpling items on the menu. This restaurant did not disappoint. While my family raved about the delicious dumplings they scarfed down, I was enjoying the Crispy Shrimp (my fav!), Chow Mein, and Green Beans. Everything came out fast, smoking hot, and by friendly servers. We're all looking forward to going back very soon!

Excellent serviceWell maintained interiorThe multicolor assortment of dumplings was fun, and the standout dish from here was their version of braised pork belly - featured prunes if I remember correctly which added a nice fruity acidity to an otherwise rich dish.

The waitlist was simple and easy, with food and service extremely quick. The JA special house milk tea (24oz) was not only a gigantic portion but incredibly delicious even with the option to use non-dairy creamer. The dumplings were all decent, along with the beef skewers. The string green beans were very tasty and would definitely get again. The ambiance was very comfortable and fitting for families!

We visited at 6:30 pm on a Tuesday and were some of the first customers of the evening. Elegant plates and decor! The green tea was great with a strong floral scent but a typical green tea taste. It was served in an attractive stoneware mug with a striking wooden handle but did cost $6. They could have provided a side plate to hold the used teabag and offered a refill of hot water. Each teabag was huge, so my wife took hers home and reused it the next day!Liked the Peking duck pancakes appetizer: six thin pancakes each with a slice of duck. Minor glitch in service: we received the appetizer shortly after our entrees. Otherwise, the service was good, and friendly.Oddly, the dumpling entrées offered ten steamed dumplings or five fried dumplings for about the same price. One of us had ten chicken and mushroom steamed dumplings, the other had five pan-fried Kurobuta pork and celery dumplings. Great dumplings! The house specialty dipping sauce was quite good.

Very good dumpling place with an assortment of different dishes. I would recommend if you are looking to eat somewhere with a group of folks so that you can order a variety of food! There's options for everyone with different preferences. I saw the comparisons to din tai fung but feel both have different dishes and one isn't a replacement for the other. I will say though if you are wanting dumplings or Asian food but want to skip out on a wait, this is a good option outside of din tai fung. We ordered multiple different dumplings and they all tasted great with the right portion of filling to dough. They also had some great meat dishes with the roast duck as well as this one blackened pork dish. The prices were reasonable and didn't feel like we broke the bank after having a nice meal with family. The service was also good and restaurant was clean!

Loved the food! This might be another one of our new current favorite dumpling spots. We had the plum braised pork belly, fried rice, steamed Jiaozi combo, pan fried dumplings, and the stir fried egg plant! Staff was quick and it was a small cute casual spot. We went on a Friday and it wasn't as busy as I thought.

JA Jiaozi dumplings is one of those locations that you cannot sleep on ! This hidden gem is located in Irvine in a large shopping center . Even though the shopping center is fairly large it can sometimes be difficult finding parking so be aware but it's not that bad . The ambiance is upscale trendy Good place to take your significant other . This is my wife's and mine go to spot ! The service is impeccable! They are helpful and friendly ! The food tbh you cannot really go wrong with anything here everything is fresh and you could taste it right away ! Overall this is a must try spot if your around the area !

I loved the service, unfortunately I forgot her name but I asked her if the matcha smoothie was popular and she was honest with me that it's an acquired taste and told me I could have a TASTE TEST and if I didn't like it they'd give me a different one!! The food was amazing very unique and so rich with flavor.

We are always down to try out a new Chinese spot, which is certainly not challenging to find in Irvine. Jiaozi has over a 1000 reviews and a modest 4.1 average score, so we though...why not? This restaurant obviously ships dumplings as their primary focus, but they do also have other offerings like protein dishes, fried rice, etc.Overall all the food was good. Nothing mind-blowing, but everything we ordered was decently tasty. But where I'm going to have to dock off major points is the price...I'm sorry, but if our bill is higher than what it would be at Din Tai Fung, then the offerings better be spectacular. And they are sadly not. $14 for their 10-count signature boiled dumplings (these were not even that great!)$11 for 5 piece multicolor dumplings$17 for sweet&sour fish (best dish I think, but still overpriced)$19 for the beef with mushroomAnd the greatest sleight of them all? $3 for a tiny bowl of rice! Criminal.Hey, if you don't care about splurging for dinner, and this place is conveniently located near you, then I can understand. But otherwise, you can probably find better options.
