I love Peruvian food but hadn't been to Inka Cantina in years. I came back with a small group for a friend's birthday dinner. 1/2 of the group had not been here or ever had Peruvian cuisine. Inka Cantina has a great menu with lots of options for everyone it's hard to pick one to try but the fan favorites are noted on the menu with a Llama. I'm not sure the menu on the website is up to date as I don't see the entrees we ordered nor did we take pictures but we ordered a chicken entree, 2 beef entrees and a vegetarian entree. The meals are served with bread and their delicious and spicy Aji sauce. Not everyone could handle the spice of their Aji sauce but everyone loved their dishes and had some leftovers. Their portions are decent size but in comparison to some other great Peruvian restaurants I've been to were somewhat small portions. One person in our party of 4 ordered extra rice as that portion is small. There was plenty of seating available when we went with no reservation. It is conveniently located in a shopping center in Fountaij Valley and is a must try!

Decided to try a different Peruvian place for a change. We shared: calamar frito- really good, nice & crisp lightly floured. Also wanted to try the Peruvian style Tamal. A bit different than the Mexican version made with chunks of tender chicken. Lightly sauce, fluffy masa. This was good!MIL had the Cantina Lomo Saltado. Made with rib eye steak (her fav). Sautéed with onion & tomato wedges. She loved this.My husband had the standard Lomo Saltado. Same flavor with a different cut of beef (maybe round?). This is his fav. Always orders the same thing. Why change when he loves this? That's his attitude.Had my fav Tallarin Saltado de Mariscos. Nice generous portion. Tender fish slices, squid, & shrimp. Also very good. A soy sauce based seasoning (the same as above 2 dishes) with herbs I couldn't distinguish & of course aji amarillo.Their version was just a bit saltier than I've had. It's kind of like having your mom's version of something at your friends home. Their version is also good. Just a bit saltier. And no I'm not on a reduced sodium diet.Love their aji verde & French bread. Their version is a bit hotter than others I've tried. However, this is more to my taste. I prefer spicy. Loved it so much I requested the purchase of a container to go. Yummm. No matter how many recipes I've tried with all the legit ingredients (aji amarillo) I just can't get it right. So I guess I'll have to come back! Decor has a slight moody vibe, Peruvian art objects line the niches. Very helpful & attentive wait staff.Had a very nice meal here.

Decent place. I thoroughly enjoy seeing Peruvian restaurants. Although the flavors weren't too eventful. I don't know if that's typical Peruvian, but the food was very humble. Though very forgettable. Service was good and the place was cute. But I wouldn't run back here.

Food was delicious! We started with the heart antichuos which you have to eat right away, and was so good with the potato and corn. And, the calamar Frito, which was so good with the refreshing salad/salsa. Washed it all down with pisco sours, yum!The lomo saltado was very good, with tender meat, covered in flavorful sauce and plenty of fries and onions. The green sauce was spicier than most places. They ran out of bread. Staff was friendly, Def would come back!

Nice family run peruvian restaurant in FV. My go-tos are the tallarin verde con pollo and the arroz con mariscos depending if I'm in the mood for noodles or rice. Their beef empanadas are also the best I've ever had. The service can sometimes be slow on a busy night, and the bread a little dry. If abuela is there then you will be taken care of, but she's been coming around less lately.

We had searched and search for an authentic Peruvian restaurant in Orange County. No idea how we missed this place just a couple miles from our house. Food is delicious, service is amazing, authentic everything, rivals my Peruvian mother in laws cooking! Try it!

This place is the worst. This is not Peruvian Food. Their beef empanadas were full of meat that had the fat attached. The empanadas have too many raisins in them. They are using the raisins as a filler to improve margins. They're stealing from the consumer. The Picante de Pollo I ordered was listed as a chicken dish. But its a chickn soup, check my pictures. No flavor what so ever ... Potatoes, chicken and broth. Nothing else. Further. When you order this dish there is a REQUIRED SELECTION on door dash that makes you choose other rice options for an extra cost. No way around it. They are stealing, plain and sinple This place is the worst and the owner should be ashamed of themselves. Como peruano, Les debe de dar verguenza servir esta porqueria.
