I came the super market to pick up some treats and a Chinese newspaper for my dad, my stomach was feeling queasy today after I ate a spicy cup of noodles for lunch at work and I need something soupy. Usually I would go for pho but in this area is most Hong Kong or Taiwanese food, I Yelp this restaurant and is a 4 1/2 stars, it must be good, right? It was delicious and fulfilling. I thought I was really happy and ordered a lemon with honey iced tea, I forgot what is called but is a rice noodle soup with beef stomach parts with wonton and some fried chicken wings. It doesn't seem like a lot for 1 person so I thought lol. I couldn't finish everything only ate 1 chicken wing and almost all the noodles, the noodles was in a large bowl. The waitress even brought out chili sauce but I didn't needed for anything. The chicken wings was nice a crispy, big piece unlike some other restaurants that give you wings that look like it came from a small chicken, not huge and is perfect seasoning, golden brown and juicy. The beef noodle was good too, there's like 3 wontons made with pork and shrimp. The wontons were perfect, is perfectly cooked. The rich noodles was becoming a little soggy, it can't be helped, is absorbing all the soups lol. The beef stomach was nice and chewy. The broth was simple, flavorful, more like a vegetable stock. The lemon honey tea was too sweet, first sips, all I tasted was honey. But overall, I enjoyed it. Is funny, when I walked in, the waitress spoke Cantonese to me like she knew I'm Chinese, most people think I'm mixed or ABC ( America born Chinese) as they call it. There's plenty, I mean plenty of parking, there's plenty of different shops and restaurants, massage parlors across the street and so much more to do and eat.

We visited Hong Kong Kitchen on Friday night around 8 p.m. There were only 2 tables left since they close at 9 p.m.We ordered the Beef Navel with Rice in Clay Pot ($16.99), which was really delicious; the beef and beef navel were very tender. The Signature Steamed Pork Ribs ($16.99) were good. The Seasonal Vegetables in Soup ($13.99) were good. The Hong Kong Style Wonton Soup ($12.99) was great (you can also swap to noodles or rice noodles). The service was great. I will definitely visit again to try some Dim Sum and other dishes.

First time at this location for a late supper. Service was pretty good nice ladies. Ambiance ok it's a tiny place few tables. Reminds me of a home style type of atmosphere with family style food. Good food we had the Spareribs and black bean sauce rice hotpot and the chicken one. We also had the chicken wings with pepper salt very tasty.

There is so much joy in discovering hole in the wall places where the foods are served and the first taste hits your memory buds just right. That is the joy that came this morning, from the first sip of the fragrant milk tea, to the steaming wonton, and the morsels of spareribs ladened over steamed rice rolls. The restaurant must be newly opened because the interior looks newly remodeled compared to the rest of the plaza that has clearly seen better days. The entire plaza needs a major renovation because it is depressing and old. They need to start with the parking lot, which is clearly a liability for all vehicles!!! The ladies were so sweet and kind, even offered us refills on our way out. The flavors for very authentic for a cha chan teng, which brought back so many childhood memories for me. I loved the way everything tasted just as I remembered without the frills. Just good comfort food. Made fresh to order so expect a little wait that won't disappoint.

Although the food wasn't bad and portion sizes generous, I would not recommend ordering takeout here. The restaurant prioritizes dine in customers such that dishes are not served in the order in which they're placed. Customers who came after we'd ordered received their food before our dishes had even started cooking! We had high hopes for this place but were left disappointed. Luckily Rowland has no shortage of similar places to try next time.
