Holdaak Fried Chicken

This was our 2nd time trying Holdak and the food food does not disappointment. It is easy to choose what you get since they specializes in fried chicken: chicken sandwich, chicken strips or chicken wings. The major choices you'll have to make is what kind of sauce or toppings or sides you'll want.You either order from the ipad or from the cashier. And once your order is ready, they'll call your number. Drinks are either from the fountain dispenser or from the bottled ones they also sell.

Very minimalist environment. Simple but adequate.Nothing to say about the service, it's just a register clerk you deal with.The chicken was good, had a good variety of flavors, and styles.Actually ended up getting a gift card for someone.

Chicken sandwich and tenders are OK. The sandwich is made up of two large tenders and how ever you order it, I got the spicy sandwich....was meh. The tenders were OK as well, young ones were not really excited about them but ate through them. They were pretty large portions, I'll give them that.

Randomly stumbled upon this fried chicken joint since it was conveniently next to Bobateaque while we were checking out an event there. We decided to get Holdaak after seeing other customers get it while we were at Bobateaque. The food looked amazing so we had to try. I got the Holdaak Spicy Chicken Sandwich combo which comes with crinkle cut fries and a soft drink. Since it was my first time, I knew I had to try the dish with their name in it. The combo came out to about $12-$13 which is honestly a deal for quality food. They're also known for their comeback sauce which I'm glad the meal comes with. The food was piping hot when we got it. The fries were obviously fresh out of the fryer because they were perfectly crisp and you can see the steam coming out. The comeback sauce was sweet and tangy and it was perfect in combatting the spices on the fries. The Holdaak spicy chicken was the right amount of heat! I probably could've handled more spice but it was really good. I loved the Korean twist on this American dish with the daikon slaw in the sandwich. It was perfect amount of acidity that was needed to combat the spice. The bun was also so round and soft looking. It was literally perfect. I was floored by the food here and would definitely come again if I'm in the area. Super solid food!

Everything was perfect until I got home, which was only 10 minutes later from when I picked up my order, and all the chicken was soggy because they put the boxes of chicken in a plastic bag and it allows it to steam. I'm going to have to put it in the air fryer to enjoy it like it's supposed to be. Shouldn't have to do that. Please switch to paper bags.

Found steel wool scrubber strands in my wrap. Could've been seriously injured, good thing it was in the cut part of the wrap or I would've cut up the inside of my mouth

Not sure what a "Hold-aak" is but I know what it's not...my fav chicken Sando. I got the spicy sandwich and it was good but not great. A bit sloppy and coleslaw overwhelmed the chicken which was a bit dry and lacked a flavor pop. Cajun fries came plain but when I inquired with the register guy he gave me a small spice container to sprinkle on. Again, no flavor pop and needed some salt vs just paprika. Too many other places to come back here. Sorry, I'll "Hold"-baak. "Come-back" sauce - sorry not likely.

A friend insisted that we try this little chicken restaurant, which is tucked away in a strip mall in Orange. We went for their Tuesday chicken sandwich deal. $4.99 for one of the best and juiciest chicken sandwiches I've ever had! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves a good chicken sandwich.

Food: the chicken is perfectly seasoned, the fries are a bit on the saltier side but it's okay it wasn't to overwhelming! the sauce that comes with the sandwich is a staple of why they're so popular! 4/5 next time i'm going to try their corn service: 4/5 nothing to crazy just standard ambiance: the table was a bit wobbly so i wish they were more attentive on that, bathroom is clean and the interior is designed nicely

If you're on the hunt for a chicken sandwich that transcends the ordinary, look no further than Holdaak. This gem combines classic favorites with Korean flavors. I love the small details like the daikon slaw or seoul spicy marinate. They have a bunch of dips to chose from but I'm saying this with my chest, get the comeback sauce... this sauce (and of course the chicken) will have you wanting to come back!! The fried were solid, my favorite being the cajun. We tried the other flavors but it was too subtle for my liking. Next time I come back I want to try the corn ribs that were sadly soldout even when I came at 12:00pm!!
