A nicely decorated lounge inside the Disney Grand Californian, Hearthstone offers craft cocktails, a nice wine selection, good food, and a lovely fireplace (I'm not talking about the giant stone fireplace in the lobby). We have been here several times within the last year. The bar seats are coveted but we do are best to find a pair. On this particular visit, I had the Flaky Buttermilk-Battered Chicken Sandwich. If there is a fried egg on a sandwich, I will tried it, This chicken sandwich came with a Soft-fried Egg, Cucumber & Radicchio Slaw, Habanero Aioli & Hot Honey Drizzle, Buttered Brioche Bun, served with French Fries. It was excellent. On this particular visit, our bartender make a custom cocktail, based on what our tastes were for that night. It was perfect. There are many cocktails on the menu worth trying, but it's a feeling-out process with the bartenders - some are not as strong as others, and that will be a factor in what we may order. But worse comes to worse, anyone can make a good martini, right? Hearthstone is worth a visit.

My husband and I ditched the kids and strolled in here on a solo disney day after walking the park. We ordered chorizo poutine fries and mandu app and left stuffed! The chorizo poutine fries killed it, 10/10 so good we left nothing. The madu was good but ofc not traditional (duh) and would maybe give that a 5/10. Tucked away in the Grand Californian I would totally come here again even with my kids! It's small but mighty.

We visited this restaurant during our trip to Disney and had a great experience. From the start, we were warmly greeted and seated with only a short wait. For food, we ordered the chicken tenders and pizza--both were solid choices and hit the spot! On the drinks side, we tried two espresso martinis and the Chicago Whistle. The espresso martini had a great flavor, and we're pretty sure they used Mr. Black, which is always a good sign of a quality cocktail. The Chicago Whistle had a nice kick, just as you'd expect with rye whiskey.Overall, the service was friendly, the food was tasty, and the drinks were well-made. We'd definitely come back to try more dishes and cocktails!

We had a great time here. We were visiting the parks and decided to try a new place (new for us). A pretty large dining area with a lodge-feel atmosphere.SERVICE: We were seated very close to our reserved time (definitely make reservations). And our server was very nice and attentive. Nice job!FOOD: Everything we tried was super tasty. We had the burger, truffle mac n' cheese, short rib lasagna, and the cookie butter creme brûlée. (Yum yum!) The wine selection was pretty good, and their whiskey selection was even better!! (but bring your bank account - lol)Great place - make sure to give them a try!

Love the dining options at the Disney Grand Californian Hotel. I'm adding this one to my go-to list. I changed my reservations last minute because it was colder outside and this restaurant still had times available. I'm so glad I changed it because this place has been on my list to try for a while. It feels so cozy. There's a fireplace. We loved the nice Christmas decor. It was just the perfect comfy end to our busy Disney day. We did have to wait a little to get in even with the reservation because it was busy but it was well worth the wait. We ordered the short rib lasagna ($36) and truffle Mac & cheese ($24). Both were out of this world! The short rib lasagna flavors are really good and it came with a decent amount of meet. The truffle Mac & cheese was a perfect compliment with nice truffle flavor. We came moderately hungry and this was plenty of food. They have a lot of options at different price points. Also decent drink selection too! Overall, this place surprised me in a good way. I will definitely come back to try more menu items.

A very cozy lobby lounge at the Grand Californian resort. We stopped by for a few drinks at the bar after hanging out at downtown Disney. The entire lounge was packed with mostly tourists. We were able to grab two seats at the bar. Hubby and I both had Vesper martinis, they were very well made and strong. No surprise the bartender at a luxury hotel lounge knows how to make this classic British drink! We had a very relaxing lounge time and everybody was so friendly. A great place to hang out whenever we are in downtown Disney! Ps. Since nobody knew how to validate our parking ticket so we got free parking for the evening! LOL

Love this gem of a place to relax within the Disney properties. It's a beautiful warmly decorated lounge inside the Disney Grand Californian. My husband and I come regularly (about every week or two) to visit Eleana and indulge in the rich flavorful menu.Ever since they added this place to Disney Dining reservations, wait times can be quite long.STAFF:Eleana was the first person we sat with here and we look for her every time. She's a sweetheart and will make sure you have a great experience. All the staff has been super friendly. We love the hostesses Aixa, Rachel, and Angela. Justin and Gus have been such helpful friendly runners(?) that we see regularly.FOOD:The menu has changed since we first started coming. The iconic garlic knots are sadly gone but the new menu is really good:French Onion Soup - Very salty but very good. Lots of melted cheese and I love it when the croutons are extra crisp inside so they retain some texture even when soakedGrilled cheese - This I my replacement for the Cafe Orleans Montecristo which has gone downhill. While it's not egg battered, it is cheesy and meaty with a fantastic fig jam for dipping. A great comfort foodCobb Salad - Great variety of toppings. I'm in love with the apple cider vinaigretteFried Chicken Sandwich - Another comfort classic with the soft runny egg.Charcuterie Pizza - My husband without fail will order this even if we've already have 3 entrees between the two of us. I now call this "a side of pizza." It has a great spread of pizza toppings and then gets an extra layer of prosciutto and arugula.Pacifica Seabass - Delicious meaty white fish that's perfectly seasoned. Great fingerling potatoes and even a little bit of fingerling potato chips. I trade the truffle sauce for the apple cider vinaigrette Vegan Portobello Risotto - Amazing that this is dairy free. This tastes so good and the two types of mushrooms provide great contrast. My husbands a big carnivore type but he thoroughly enjoyed thisPrime Rib - They can't go below a medium rare but this is very juicy and so richly flavorful. Served with a side of bone marrowShort Rib Lasagna- Packed with tender meat and very cheese heavy. The vegetable ragu it is served on is amazing and chunky

This is how we plan our Disney trips definitely around a luxurious meal. Of course we want to eat all the junk food walk around the whole park, but the body deserves fine dining after so much exercise . It should be a rule! We've definitely made it our rule ! The decor is one of my favorite styles mission . The Mission style is a design that emphasizes simple horizontal and vertical lines and flat panels that accentuate the grain of the wood. This style of furniture was popular in the United States during the turn of the 20th century. So beautiful this is one of the restaurants inside the Disneyland hotel. So convenient and luxurious . The food was definitely five stars. Our waitress was extremely helpful. I had drinking a DayQuil in the morning on an empty stomach and it made my stomach not good the whole day. Our waitress rushed to tend to my needs and got me a piece of toast so I didn't get sick. God bless her. Her name is Dari from pico Rivera. Attention management give this girl a raise she went above and beyond making our experience so pleasant and just overall wonderful. Our food was five stars just like anything Disney

Hearthstone Lounge is our little slice of peaceful Disney. No visit to Disneyland would be complete without checking out the Grand California's displays, relaxing in their lobby listening to the piano, and having a refined cocktail at Hearthstone Lounge. On our last visit, we were overwhelmed with the Memorial Day weekend crowds. Normally, we are totally fine with the mass of people. But this weekend was unlike anything we've ever experienced. Maybe it was combination of Pixar Fest with Memorial Day weekend - we'll never know. But we are grateful for our mid-day reservations at Hearthstone. We were promptly seated in a lovely private corner. Hands down one of the most private and quiet spots. We loved it! Our server was an absolutely doll and treated us with so much kindness - I do wish I remember his name! One round of green tea shots and two rounds of dirty martinis plus a delicious plate of poutine fries, we were ready to vacate our quiet respite and take on the crowds. If you're looking for a real cocktail, and a decent whiskey and scotch list, Hearthstone is your spot. Don't have a reservation? Just make your way to the right-hand side of a stanchion and wait in line to be served by your next friendly bartender who will make you a to-go cocktail. A definitely Disney do, IMO!
