There are 2 Hatam Restaurants, with this Anaheim location, situated near the 5 and 91 freeways being the first. Hatam has been around for 30+ years and specializes in Persian fare and all the food served here is HALAL. You'll find great tasting kabobs here (beef/chicken kobbideh, barg (filet mignon), and boneless chicken). They offer a variety of chicken, beef, lamb and trout options. Their salads and appetizers, especially borani (sauteed eggplant, yogurt, onions and garlic) are refreshing. They have several rice options including: regular, dill rice, sour cherry rice and my personal favorite: adas polo (basmati rice mixed with raisins, lentils and dates). Besides their restaurant, they do local catering which I have utilized numerous times. I have referred them to colleagues and friends who have had positive experiences as well. On this particular occasion I utilized them to cater a work event for 75 people. The event took place at Irvine Regional Park for lunch. Our menu consisted of: rice, salad, bademgaan (sauteed eggplant dish), beef koobideh kabobs, boneless chicken kabobs, grilled tomatoes, and pita bread. They provided utensils, napkins, take away boxes and arrived on time for our event. I told them I wanted to serve food at 11:30am, and they made my day by arriving at 11am. I had to attend a prayer service at 1pm, so everything worked out perfectly as I was able to get to my appointment on time.Overall I have always had a positive experience with Hatam. The quality of their food is excellent and the pricing for their catering service as well as customer service is excellent! The owner (Hossein) is a really kind man and was available whenever I needed to get in touch with him to make changes to the catering menu as well as quantity of guests.

We love coming to this Hatam Restaurant vs. the other one in Mission Viejo. This place is by an other owner I believe and you can definitely tell by the portions and the delicious taste of their kabobs. We ordered the Koobideh combo, fresh Hatam dough and Salaam Cola. Just an amazing lunch. Regarding service these people are very nice and kind and because of their great customer service we want to come back to enjoy their delicious food again and again. As for the ambiance they have comfortable setting and beautiful decorations on there walls that make you feel you are in an authentic Persian restaurant in Iran. Just lovely.

We got there on a Saturday afternoon and were seated immediately. The appetizer combo was delicious and flavorful. We ordered the chicken koobideh and beef solanti and both meats significantly lacked flavor and seasoning especially compared to other Persian restaurants. Service was great. They add an automatic tip of 18% even for a party of 2. I'm giving 3 stars because the tip was already included and thankfully we had read yelp reviews and were mindful for it and didn't overtip. The meats just wasn't flavorful. We would skip it next time and try somewhere else.

Wow--so thankful my cousin was craving some Persian food! Chicken and beef koobideh were delicious and a good portion given all increasing food prices these days! Three entrees provided enough for another meal for 2 as leftovers. Appears to be a family-owned business/ stand alone restaurant complete with koi pond and rugs decorating the walls. Plenty of parking and open tables on a Sun for lunch in July. The dining room had at least 3 tables for 4, a couple tables for 6, and a few tables for 2; there was also covered outdoor seating. Saw a few customers ordering takeout. Lunch special pricing only applies to weekdays. The ?owner/manager came to check on us a few times during the delicious meal. Will definitely recommend this place if anyone needs recs, and hope to bring my yelp elite friend, too!

The restaurant itself was dirty, inside and out. There was a bug catcher beside our dining table. The food was old, the soltani meat was very old and gooey and it was not edible. Falsely advertising basmati rice, but it was another type of long-grain rice and tasted nothing like basmati, not in flavor nor texture. We were served a plate with an old scrap of onion and butter, and a basket of lavish bread that was not fresh either. The chicken soltani was a step up from the beef. Salt and pepper shakers were also dirty. Can't imagine what the back kitchen must be like. We were double charged and went to correct the bill with the front desk, but they did something wrong and my statement showed 2 double-charges so I had to call my bank to void the bill. Don't eat here.

Living in the Palm Springs area, I have been dreaming about getting authentic Persian food. The week of Thanksgiving, I was in Orange County, getting a Disney fix. I stopped by for lunch. Parking wasn't easy, but I was able to secure a spot. There weren't too many people in the restaurant, but I noticed a brisk takeout business, while I waited for my food.I saw a sign stating that onion would be served only on request, but I was brought a basket of flatbread, onion, and butter. I was super happy. I haven't had that combo in a long time. I ordered some ghormeh sabzi with tadig and a loubia polo. It was so much food, but I was determined to eat it all. The tadig appetizer was much larger than I anticipated. The stew was absolutely perfect. Some of the tadig was a little chewier than I usually expect, but I enjoyed it all. The loubia polo was excellent. The koobideh was juicy and had a great flavor. The rice was moist and had great flavor. Service was excellent. Prices were super reasonable. You can tell it was repurposed from a diner, but who cares? The food is fantastic.

The food is fantastic. However, we've consistently had issues with the catering service because the caterer treats customers very poorly and unprofessionally. This person happens to be one of the owners, so this individual probably thinks customers are privileged to get food from this restaurant! The unfortunate reality is that this is the United States, and subpar customer service just doesn't fly here in long run.
