Taking the Traditional Cantonese Dining to Next Level Two of us met for lunch. We ordered: A11 - Signature Beef Stew with Wonton noodle - $17.99M 6 - Sautéed Fish Head in Clay Pot - $18.99We were very pleased with its tasty and traditional Cantonese culinary cooking. The place is contemporary, clean, suitable for all occasions, that being said, there is outdoor patio seating too. The server in proper attire was attentive and helpful. This unremarkable eatery is tucked in by the side of the Von's market is a surprise. I will definitely come back, for to go or dine in.

For time trying this place out, and had a satisfying experience. This restaurant offers a variety of food options.Beef w/ Rice in Clay Pot: The beef is nicely seasoned and tender. The clay pot comes with a lot of beef on top. The rice is cooked nicely, but a bit disappointing to see there's no rice crisp on the bottom. I would still order this to give another shot. Iron Pan Aromatic Ginger Chicken: unlike other chicken sizzling pot or iron pan, this fish is very different. I'm not a fan of ginger, but the taste of the ginger is very settle. The chicken is cut into chunks, very easy to be consumed. The onions adds a great crunch to the dish. Definitely recommend this option for a meat option. Braised Tofu: A very light and bland dish, even with the sauce that came along. We were actually expecting a different kind of braised tofu. This dish has a great combination of tofu, veggies, and mushrooms; if this is greatly flavored then it would be a great option. This recipe can be improved. Taishan Cauliflower w Preserved Meat: Greatly seasoned, not oily. The green pepper, celery, onion, and carrot pair greatly with the cauliflower. Nice veggie selection. Shrimp Rice Roll: if you love rice roll then definitely recommend on trying their rice roll. The sauce is well seasoned and it is handmade (not store bought). Great amount of shrimps. Try adding an egg, it makes the fish extra enjoyable. Yellow Eel Pork Ribs w Rice Clay Pot: A very interesting and tasty combination. If you love eel then give this a try. Similar to the beef rice clay pot, there's no rice crisp on the bottom. Hope they can adjust the recipe ratio to improve the rice clay pot options. My friend and I went in on a Friday night, and they are quite busy with just one waitress working. She had trouble taking care of all the tables and requests. She gave us free soup at the end. Hope they can have more staffs during busy times. The restaurant is cozy and simple. Really recommend going there for authentic canto/taishan food.

We came here for lunch on a Sunday and it was quite busy. Our party split into 2 tables and they were accommodating in helping with taking the elders' order while we used the QR code. The restaurant was very clean and decent in size. However, it took a while for our food to come out since they were busy and seems like they were understaffed with only 2 waitresses. They were very polite and seemed to communicate well. The food was overall pretty decent. We ordered a variety of items: noodle soups, fried rice, stir fried noodles, curry stew, egg waffle, and rice rolls. The food was flavorful enough without being overly salty or oily. Everything came out looking as advertised in the photos! Quite appetizing. Cons: The eel in the eel and shrimp fried rice tasted slightly sour, like it was old or expired. Luckily it didn't affect the rest of the dish so we didn't complain about it. We picked it out and it was fine. Another negative was that the stir fried dishes lack the smoky wok flavor.

Restaurant location is hidden and see if you drive by. It's located all the way in the right corner (same side on Vons) on back.Deco has a simple and comfortable atmosphere - Big round table good for big goods and few half circle booths. Everything is new.QC menu and paper togo menu. Please note not all dishes on the QC menu.Food portion is decent size.We ordered 5 dishes.Pan Fried Vermicelli w/ egg and mince beef - That is the reason I wanted to try out but I was a little disappointed. I think the flavor is a little bland to meShrimp roll - Chopped shrimps on top of rice roll. My little niece kills this dish.Iron Pan Aromatic Ginger Chicken - Chickens are soft and tender. Heavy flavour which I like..Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings -Thicker batter but still crispy. Flavour just right.Eel claypot - Actually, I ordered chicken and mushroom claypot but they were wrong. I did not exchange or tell them since I don't want to wait for it. This dish comes out last since it takes at least 15 to 20 min. Eel was cut shredded. Soy sauce is on the light side. Overall experience is okay and flavour is on the light side. Less salt = health side.

Location is right next to a Von's, has plenty of parking. Very modern and bright atmosphere, with an inviting environment.I ordered two things here, one I liked and one I didn't.E8 Shrimp Rice Roll - this was excellent. I loved the texture of the freshly made rice rolls. The shrimp was similarly fresh and tender. The sauce was well balanced and savory. D1 Pan Fried Vermicelli with Egg and Minced Beef - I was looking forward to this one because it seems like a very innovative dish that a lot of other Yelpers liked and it was one of the recommended dishes. But I found the filling to generally be disappointing and lacking umami. It was salty but wasn't tasty. It was just a simple combination of egg, minced meat, minced green beans and carrots in a corn starch slurry with nothing special. The top layer of crispy vermicelli was really good. But there isn't enough of the filling. After eating the top crispy layer and the filling, I was left with a bed of soggy and bland vermicelli noodles at the end. The pictures of the beef stew version of this dish looks pretty good though. I may come back and give that a try and revise my review afterwards.Service was fine but doesn't impact my review. My rating is just for the food.

This is a mom and pop Cantonese restaurant that I will be coming back to! Came here for breakfast with my family and it was a great meal to start our morning.SERVICE: 4/5We arrived on Sunday early morning and it wasn't crowded. We got seated immediately and ordered on our phone after scanning the QR code located on the table. There was only one server who was working hard so it was understandable. I appreciated how she did her best to give the quickest service!FOOD: 5/5We ordered the Shrimp Rice Roll, Beef Noodle Soup, Chicken and Mushroom Clay Pot, and of course their famous Pan Fried Vermicelli! Every dish was delicious and met all the expectations. It was my first time trying the pan fried vermicelli and I kept on adding more to my plate. Overall, all the food was enjoyable and filling!AMBIANCE: 4/5The decor was modern and simple. Sitting in here was comfortable as my family and I enjoyed our meal.PARKING: 5/5This restaurant is located in a plaza so there were plenty of parking.

If you're a big fan of authentic hole-in-the-wall mom-and-pop places, then head to Happy Morning! They have some rare authentic dishes that taste just like in Hong Kong - while everyone is raving about the pan-fried vermicelli (it is delicious, but not my favorite) they have so many other dishes that are worth a try because they are harder to find. For example, the bojaifan or crisped rice claypot rice is executed with perfection - the beauty is in the crisped rice (in this instance in a metal pot, but tastes just as good). You can tell whether the chef knows what they are doing by evaluating the crust/crisped rice at the bottom and sides of the pot - it is perfectly and evenly crisp on all sides, no burn spots. This dish alone was heaven. I got the one with the minced pork and salted fish. Don't order this if you have cancer or are worried about getting cancer from the salted fish. Order the other bojaifan choices. But once in a long while only this taste can be had so it must be ordered lol. Much to my family's chagrin. The cold hand-shredded chicken was literally perfection also. A free range chicken, lightly poached, then shredded and tossed in sesame seeds, gorgeously slivered green onions, and sesame oil. Served with a side of mild sweet soy sauce. Heaven! The flavors here are authentic and on point. The key here is the excellent do-fat "knife skill" of the chef - the green onions were literally shredded into the prettiest wisps. The flavors are simple, pure, and on point. He knows authentic Cantonese cooking. They also have some Toishan specialities - and I wish I had four stomachs lol so I could try more. Next time!!The wonton noodle soup was just ok, the noodles were perfectly al dente and toothsome but I prefer my wontons with shrimp and a lot bigger. The wonton wrappers were perfectly thin and silky though.I have had other dishes here - the beef stew noodles are stellar. They have egg puff waffles, citron honey tea, and so many cha chaan teng staples that are hard to find. While I love Delicious Food Corner and other local favorites Happy Morning is in that happy place of an up-and-coming upstart that hasn't gotten famous yet. I suggest coming here before they start having lines around the block! The service is simple and courteous, it is literally a mom and pop shop so do not expect white glove service - these are kind and hardworking folks doing their best in a rough economy. I wish them all the best and will be back each time I am in town to explore more of their delicious menu. While it's a hole-in-the-wall, their decor is super modern, clean and inviting. I like that the tables and banquets aren't sticky lol. This place is a hidden gem!! Literally tucked in the back right pocket next to Vons. Just go!! The food is delicious!!

Super hidden restaurant in the very back of the plaza by vons. Order through a QR code. Overall nice variety of clay pot, rice rolls, stir fry, but flavor was lacking for some dishes. + Shrimp Rice Roll ($6.99 + $1.50 egg): different sauce than the usual sweeter one served with chern fun so not flavorful but very silky. Not worth the price (6.8/10)+ Pan Fried Vermicelli w Egg and Minced Beef ($16.99): best dish we got! Can see why it's so popular, great crispy noodles pairs well with the saucy noodles, beef, silky egg, and vegetables (7.9/10)+ Special Salt Baked Half Chicken ($15.99): comes with ginger scallion sauce and savory chicken broth/sauce. Very tender and juicy, salty chicken (7.5/10)

This place is pretty hidden in the shopping center and we stumbled upon it while checking out all the other dining options in the same shopping center. It was a first visit but the food is legit and of the Cantonese cuisine. We ordered the Pan Fried Vermicelli with beef stew, signature beef stew with noodles and dried scallops Chinese sausage with vegetable rice. The first two items came out quickly but for some reason, the rice took much longer. The rice comes with a side of soup (no pic). They were pretty busy at lunch and the one downside is that they only had one person working the front of house. Hope that's not a regular but it also wasn't as horrible as it could have been given there must have been 12 tables plus to go orders. You need to get one of the pan fried vermicellis as you just don't find that in many places and they make it nice and crunchy.Check out my pics.

Fast service and good food! This restaurant is tucked away in the back corner of a large plaza, so there's plenty of free parking. We ordered the pan fried vermicelli, Hainan chicken, and mapo tofu. The pan fried vermicelli was very crispy on the outside with noodles and veggies on the inside. Hainan chicken tasted really clean and not overly salty, and the mapo tofu had huge chunks of tofu which I liked.Service was friendly and prompt.
