I can't believe there's a place like Hanshin Pocha in sleepy Quail Hill! In Irvine, it's hard to find restaurant that is open later than 9/10pm, so Hanshin Pocha is a welcome addition!Came here on a rainy night around 6pm. The restaurant was pretty quiet, except for the music playing. We ordered a couple of Sapporo drafts, kimchi jeongul, mandu w/corn cheese and kimchi fried rice. The jeongul was pretty big, with pork, spam and sausage, and not too spicy (I am a spice wimp). the mandu (dumplings) in corn cheese was the perfect food to go with a beer. My husband said their kimchi fried rice (which comes with cheese and egg) is his fave kimchi fried rice ever! You pretty much had to push the call button in order to get any type of service, which was fine with me (though it seemed kind of odd since it was such a quiet night). I would totally come back here and try more food and drinks!Plenty of parking in the lot.

Went to Hanshin Pocha on a Tuesday after work around 5:30pm. Was just us and another party at this time, eventually picked up and got busy as we were leaving. We were bummed to learn that they no longer have the happy hour deals advertised on their IG page. Pricing was still fair. We really liked the ice blended mango makgeolli! Was my first time having this served in a traditional bowl. We ordered the kimchi fried rice and chicken fondue. Would order it again!Hanshin Pocha is one of the few Irvine spots open late so I'll definitely be back to try out the other makgeolli flavors and chicken katsu!

Solid spot for korean comfort food! We ordered 4 dishes to share among 3 people -- the service was quick and the food was tasty! Here's a rundown of what we ordered:- Rice balls (5/5): this was my first time trying rice balls and they were so delicious! It was fun to be able to form the rice balls ourselves and they tasted so good-Tomato sauce gyenmari (4/5): nothing too special... but the omelette texture was on point! Just wish the tomato sauce was a bit more... tomatoey instead of like a curry-Gesal Gyeran-Tang (3.5/5): solid comforting soup, but a bit toooo peppery. also wish they used real crab instead of crab meat sticks-Pork Mozzarella Cheese fondue (2/5): was not really a fan of this dish. pork was a bit dry

I am a huge Hanshin pocha fan, great place for late night food and pretty easy to get a table for a big group on a weekend if you join the waitlist before you get there:)

Hanshin Pocha is a storefront embodiment of the indoor snack stalls found in Korea! This spot has a lively atmosphere great for communal gathering and sharing bites with friends and family. This spot is located in the Quail Hill plaza where there is a good amount of parking spots. Inside, they have a pretty spacious setup with a good amount of seating. Wifey and I stopped by for a late dinner around 9pm and were seated after about 15 mins. For their menu, they have a great selection of different Korean comfort food staples ranging from soup stews, fried chicken, seafood, tteokbokki, and more! Wifey and I opted to go for a spread of the Gochu Maneul Chicken (sweet and spicy garlic fried chicken), Pork Mozzarella Cheese Fondue, and the Beef Soft Tofu Jjigae. Everything we had was delicious and definitely hit the spot! Overall, this spot is one of the more popular late night eats in the Irvine area for a reason! They are typically open until midnight everyday and are open until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays. All of the staff here are very friendly and efficient. We will be back forsure next time we have some late night munchies!

Solid Korean pub place in Irvine in the Quail Hill plaza. Everything on the menu is what you'd expect from a Korean pub - deep fried, spicy, salty, heavy... but yummy! We ordered one of their combo sets (B) that came with a bit of everything, along with an extra order of kimchi fried rice. Portions weren't huge, but it was plenty for our party of four. I really liked the fried chicken and fish cake soup! REALLY wish they had flatscreen TVs here though because the World Series was playing that night!!! But I realized most Korean pub places I've been to don't really have TVs everywhere like American bars boo.

This place has always been coming up on my Yelp search for restaurants. I've been always wanting to try it and the other day me and my cousin decided to finally hit this place up!Located in a big plaza with several other restaurants nearby, it was easy to find parking and when we arrived were immediately sat. Our waitress was cool and checked up on us constantly. They have those bell service buttons as well.I ordered the deep fried whole squid and my cousin got Korean fried chicken. Food came out and no time and we started to dig in. The squid was crunchy and delicious! The fries that it came with were also great! The Korean fried chicken was the real star though! It was crunchy and the marinade used was absolutely stunning.Prices for the food and the amount you get were absolutely fair. I don't really have any complaints at all except I think I like a bit more on the menu. This place is cool too cause they're open late so if you're hungry and craving some good Korean food, definitely check this place out!

After going to the Rowland Heights location, I wanted to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday down at the Irvine location! We came as a party of 10 and were seated all together. As a table, we ordered a couple things to share: Chicken and Pork Cheese Mozzarella Fondues, Hanshin Dakbal, Oden-tang, Spicy Mussel Soup, Kimchi Fried Rice, Boneless Fried Chicken, and DIY Rice Ball. My favorites were definitely the pork cheese fondues and the spicy mussel soup! The pork was so good we HAD to get the chicken as well. Make sure to ask your server about the spice level because I heard the hanshin dakbal was spicier than expected. Every dish hear is what makes this place such a great pocha. A pocha isn't a pocha without drinks! There is a deal where if you buy 5 sojus or 5 beers, you'll get one beer/soju for free (depending on the type you did). Make sure to mention this to your server while ordering or they can't apply the deal for you after! My group of 10 didn't realize we could actually reach it, but you most definitely can so I would say make the risk ;) I don't remember our server's name but this gentleman was so helpful! Maybe it was Jake? Great service here for a large group. I'd definitely come by again for a dinner and drinks with friends.

Food was amazing, fried chicken was crispy, soup was tasty and seafood pancake well great as well. The ambiance is nice, not super quiet as little lively but hip and fun with kpop videos on the wall. The service was quick and friendly, everything was great.

Service was mid. You'll get alot of blank stares. The mandu with cheese was bomb though. The mango blended makgeoli was delicious as well.
