The head of the night was the filet mignon bruschetta. The food was very well prepared all the way around and it was served quickly. The service was friendly, but she missed the fact that on my second drink not only did I not drink it, but I also pushed it towards the edge of the table which is an indicator of dislike and wanting to drink removed. In the past when I've done this at other restaurants the server will generally ask if the drink was to my liking and if not if they could bring me something in exchange.The decorations around the restaurant were really cool to look at and it told the story of Gulliver's travels. I do feel the restaurant could use an update as well as a deep cleaning, but it was still very hygienic.Lastly the pricing was a bit steep, so this is a fun experience in moderation.

The food was delicious and wide variety. Very quiet and we could hear each other. The highlight of the night was our server. , Shane. He was fabulous!! Attended to all our needs (we were party of 8). Everything was delivered very quickly , with a sense of fun and expertise. Shane is a fabulous employee who made our dinner memorable, and he is anIdeal employee and asset to Gulliver's Restaurant. Made a reservation for a saturday night, for the bar area. Was seated in the small room where the fireplace is. Sat in a nice table/half booth in the corner of the room. Location is stuck in time and that's what makes it cool. We ordered crab cakes and spinach artichoke dip to start. Of course you also get sourdough bread and focaccia. Main dish was the prime rib, which comes with creamed corn, cream spinach and bread pudding. Washed it down with a few gin and tonics. It was all good. Service was good. I I also think you get your adult bevs sitting closer to the bar.Plenty of parking, but recommend you get a reservation (open table or via their website) cuz it seems like the place gets crowded real fast like.

Gulliver's hasn't changed since my first meal here over 40 years ago? This place has an unmistakable presence, upscale, vintage charm, and delicious prime rib of beef.My girl, and I and my best friend of over 50 years have celebrated the "holidays" here many times, it is one of our favorites. The menu hasn't changed. Sometimes you just want something familiar and delicious.I started with a martini, up, with two olives. Then the cream of mushroom soup followed. So creamy and delicious. The rare prime rib was perfect as was the service. We all split the crème brûlée and the trifle for desertWe may just do Gulliver's again next Christmas!

Christmas Eve dinner was nice but I had no idea the portion was Flintstone size so share with someone! Service is slow so just enjoy the ambiance. We arrived at 6:00, got seated about 10-15 minutes, and it took a while for the waitress to get our drink order. The soup was delicious and it was served in a latte mug. The crab cakes were good and not filled with fillers but a lot of crab meat. However we should've skipped the starters because the holiday potion of the prime rib was huge!! Fred Flintstone would be so proud. We left with enough meat for another meal. Creamed corn was good but I'm not a fan of the creamed spinach but Stephen liked both.Happy to have celebrated Christmas Eve here. I'd go back. Dinner for 2 with one cocktail and no dessert came to $225 with tip included.

Located right off the 405 & MacArthur Blvd across from John Wayne Airport in Irvine. My wife & I spent Valentine's Day Dinner here. I have heard from many people that this establishment has the best Prime Rib in the area. The restaurant has a renaissance theme. Since it was Valentines Day, they had a limited menu. I ordered the $59 Prime Rib & my wife ordered the $66 Ribeye. We also ordered the $20 Filet Mignon Bruschetta to start. My wife & I also both had a glass of $17 Raymond Cabernet Wine. (On the menu it says that the dishes paired well with it.) The Filet Mignon Bruschetta was amazing. The Prime Rib was one of the best Prime Rib's I have ever had. And my wife said she enjoyed her Ribeye. Overall the service was great and the waitress Deborah was very nice and attentive. We will definitely be back in the future.

GOOOOO!!! This unique restaurant is a favorite of ours. A step back in time for many in the area. We love sitting by the fireplace in the bar whenever we go. Prime rib is awesome! Just don't fill up on the fresh baked breads - a tough one to do. Enjoy the creamed corn - it's as good as my grandma made. Weekdays are easy to get in. Weekends another story - reservations are a must.

This was my first time here and it definitely exceeded my expectations! First of all this restaurant is DECKED OUT for Christmas so if you have a holiday party or want some holiday vibes this is your place. It definitely is an older looking place but it makes up for that with its charm. I'm not a huge meat person so I had the duck and oh my goodness it was wonderful. I have also been converted to loving whatever cabbage was part of my plate; so yummy. My other half devoured his meal with no notes and his meat was cooked perfectly. Our server, Michelle, was great. She handled our rambunctious party amazingly. We will definitely be back!

My friends and I have made it our annual tradition to have our Christmas dinner together here. The food and service never disappoint. Their Christmas decorations are absolutely stunning here. I always get the traditional English-cut prime rib and it's delicious every single time! To drink, I get a penicillin (very strong but very yummy)
