Cute little restaurant that my kids wanted to try and enjoy. Friendly staff, the food menu is simple, you can even make alternatives if need to be. The food is a little pricey, but I guess you get what the name brand of what this place is for. Cute decorations all around with the statues and tables. This place is located in a deserted mall area that had a few food places next to it, but not a lot. Food came out at a decent time, only one bathroom. The food was good, the menu is super basic just like eggs, bacon, tater tots, sliders etc. you get the point of what this place only sells.

Gudetama Cafe has been on my bucket list since I heard the cafe was opening up in Buena Park but the long lines and wait times definitely discouraged me from going. But after months since opening, I finally went! Not sure if I was just lucky with the time I went or if the hype died down because there was no wait when I stopped by. The Sanrio's lazy egg themed cafe is based on the fictional Gudetama character so I wasn't surprised when I saw Gudetama everywhere inside and outside of the cafe! The Gude Katsu, Egg, and Cheese is one of their popular items, the egg has the Gudetama face on it, so cute! The food itself was solid, tater tots and Katsu were fried perfectly, the egg and cheese tied everything together. If you're a Sanrio or Gudetama fan, it's a cute spot to visit if you're in the area!

We heard of this cafe just opening and had to stop by to check things out! The line is very long so if you plan to come, just know it's gonna be a while to be seated! They even have a sign outside saying from this point in the line, it's gonna be a 2 hour wait! I have heard this cafe is desirable to experience when doing my research! I'm usually into checking out viral or just hearing if a new spot just opened though! The atmosphere and ambiance is nice! I love the decor inside and out! Its strange for the location desire. It's located in a shopping mall area that seems to be deserted! Either than this cafe being busy, the rest of the Plaza is completely ghostville! Anyway, it's definitely nice inside this cafe with a ton of photo ops! I love the decor! My son really enjoyed everything going on! The food was great! I do love the simplistic of the menu! Great breakfast options with the cool smiling face on the Egg is an awesome touch! So, if you wanna spare a few hours during the day, I'd recommend visiting here! At least once to get the experience and say you tried it out!

If you are or are not familiar with the Gudetama character this is a must-see cafe! Located at the Buena Park mall, this cafe gives you the delight of not only a refreshing or delicious drink but an adorable cafe with multiple things to see and take a picture of! The drinks we ordered were efficiently prepared. My personal favored was the iced coffee affogato drink because it was the perfect blend of sweetness and a rich coffee taste! Sadly, I didn't have the opportunity to try any of their food items available but would want to come back to try them! There are plenty of parking spaced available near the entrance of the cafe, there should be no problems.

After our 4th attempts to get inside this cute cafe since they grand opened last year, we were finally able to go inside (for the 1st time ever) to see the cute Gudetama interior. The interior full of Gudetama designs are indeed super cute, but sadly they ran out of most of the Gudetama merchs except for tee shirts. Even the hoodies are gone. We ordered the Whatever Avocado Toast (terrible and not that fresh) and the Katsu Egg & Cheese sandwich (it was just ok). Both meals came with tater tots which was the only thing that tasted decent. I would give the interior decor a 5 stars and the food a 2 stars. It's a cute place to come once to experience the cuteness of Gudetama, but the foods were disappointing.

I don't think it's worth going, not the time or the money. It's not trash, but definitely overvalued. I would say it's like Shake Shack in terms of food and service quality. We waited an hour and twenty from 9:45, and they open at 10 on weekends. As we were leaving around noon, the line went around the building, just about the same as we started. We ordered 2 entrees (which included tater tots) and 2 drinks which totaled to $50. You order and pick up from the counter, but we're talking about sit-down restaurant prices... Moving on to how good their food is, the sausage, egg, egg and cheese was very yummy, like a McMuffin but better in all aspects: fancy bun, fried egg, and bigger size. I'd still call it fast food (like diner food) so the $16 price is too much. The Wagyu sliders were mid. The meat quality wasn't noticeably better, and it was dry as we didn't order with cheese. The tater tots were well crisped, but I'm not a big fan of tater tots in general. Our drinks were very tasty. The sparkling mango is good and the chewy bits are super enjoyable. The one gripe is, again, it's $6 for the most basic event cafe drink.the Mango Passionfruit

Extremely cute cafe!! If you love Gudetama it is a cool cafe to see but it is a little overpriced sadly :(The drinks were just okay as well. I specifically got the matcha and I did not taste any match in the drink even after mixing it. It kind of just tasted like milk. Other than that the place is very cute and the service was very good.

Food service pretty slow. THAT'S why there's a queue outside. Can't help but compare to Gudetama Cafe Singapore.

Gudetama was such a fun cafe to visit. It was heavily decorated inside and fun. The food was themed accordingly and the eggs had little faces in them! The food was pretty good considering its a themed cafe. We tried a few different items to get a mixture of it all. The yogurt drink was very sweet but as someone that doesn't like sweet, it was pretty good. The staff is friendly and seats you inside after you order your food. When I went there was a bit of a line but we only waited about 20 minutes or so. I would suggest coming here at least once to check out and try. We ordered the sleepy sliders, gude katsu and the lazy bacon egg and cheese sandwich. The sliders were decently good. The buns were great and stamped as well which were cute. The katsu was a little dry but not horrible considering the sauce! I enjoyed the lazy bacon personally as it was the infamous egg, bacon and cheese paired with some tater tots. Everything was great and cutesy for pictures. Come check it out at least for the vibes

Character cafes are notorious for being all looks with food as an afterthought. I did not feel this way about Gudetama Cafe. I actually enjoyed it a lot more than I expected. The cafe is obviously very cute with photo ops and adorable sculptures of Gudetama nestled in every nook and cranny. Even the tables and chairs are Gudetama-themed. The service was very nice and friendly. And there's plenty of places to sit since the cafe is not that busy. The food was actually quite good. They have an open kitchen too so you can see your food being prepared fresh. The tater tots were crispy and delicious. They give you spicy ketchup, spicy Mayo, and ranch to eat with them. I thought the Lazy Bacon Egg and Cheese was kinda whatever, but the Gude Katsu was really good. The katsu was crispy and the meat inside was moist and juicy. The sandwich was relatively light and easy to eat as well - I quite enjoyed it. The drinks were a bit weird though. I think all the coffee drinks use the same cold brew base, which is pretty acidic and off putting when paired with sweet toppings with creme brûlée and ice cream. The drinks were more bearable after mixing them very well, but I wouldn't go as far as to say that they're good.Overall, I think the cafe was a bit review bombed and deserves a bit of a higher rating than 3.5 stars.
