First off, staff were super friendly. They gave me great recommendations and I ordered the BbQ Bacon Burger. Everything here is Halal and made fresh to order. There's a good amount of seating and it sits at the corner of a shopping center. For more reviews and breakdowns follow @ToshiEats on IG

Let me start by saying that this is a combination review of 2 different times coming here within 1 week. I had such a great experience the first time. There were just a couple of small things that kept the place from getting 5-stars from me. Then I went back thinking about should I give it 4 or 5 stars on my review. And it all fell apart on the second visit, sadly.First visit, 2/3/25, went in and was greeted immediately, and cheerfully, by Sam. He seemed to be working by himself, although there could have been someone in the back that I did not see. There was one person in the place when I got there although others arrived shortly after I did. Place was clean and spotless. Tables were all wiped down, chairs all pushed in and straight, floor was clean, no crumbs or napkins. Spoke with Sam, explained that it was my first time there but was excited to try it as it has good YELP ratings. He was more than courteous, explained completely anything that I had questions on and made some great suggestions. Food was terrific, Sam checked on me several times and was genuinely concerned about how I liked everything. Some of the best onion rings that I have had, all handmade in-house. Fries are also awesome. I also noted that Sam was very careful about his food safety practices, changed his gloves often, never touched between counter surfaces and food products without changing his gloves, and kept everything clean. The only real drawback was that the ice machine on the soda dispenser was out, causing all of the soda to be warm from the dispenser. So, they had to give you ice from the back in your cup. There were problems with one of the drinks in the fountain as well. I must point out that I did not know going in that the Gourmet Burger serves halal meats and chicken products. If you have read my other reviews, you will note that I am not a fan of halal or kosher. It has nothing to do with the religious aspect of them being certified that way, it has to do with the extreme animal cruelty that is inflicted upon the animals in the slaughtering process. In both instances, the animals' throats are cut, without touching the spine, and then they are left on their own until they die of exsanguination. They let them bleed to death before they are touched again which takes between 1-4 minutes for the animal to die. But they are still "awake" or "conscious" during this time. At least with American and European animal standards for butchering, the animals are shot in the brain directly or knocked out prior to being killed. There is not a 4-minute window of agony for the animals. So, I try to avoid both halal and kosher for these reasons. My personal preference.Second visit, 2/7/25, hoping that I had a similar experience as the first time and a fixed soda/ice machine. Was I in for a shock. And this is exactly why I try to go more than once before reviewing a place. Went in, Sam was not there that day. A different gentleman was there. Taller, slightly thin guy. But he also had someone else just hanging in the doorway to the back, just talking to him. Didn't seem to be working there, just hanging out. Gentleman who was taking orders and serving didn't really seem to be interested in the customers, more worried about talking to his buddy. There was also only 1 other customer in there before I came in. But there were several chairs out of place and pulled away from the tables, there were several tables that were not clean and had crumbs/dirt on them, and the floor looked like it had not been cleaned all day. I'll include pictures of that. Also, the gentleman who was serving was not good about his food safety. The soda machine was still not fixed, and one of the sodas was completely out again. After letting him know, he said that he would change the soda syrup. While he was doing that, I asked the guy hanging out for some more ice and he couldn't help me, had to wait for the original guy to help me. When the guy came back from switching the soda box, he still had the same gloves on. When he started handling my food to cook, he did not change them. Then more people came in and ordered, had problems with the touch screen, the server guy reaches over with the same gloves that has now been on the soda box, my food, the cooking area and touches tablet with them. Took gloves off, got it fixed and then turned around and grabbed my onion rings with his bare hands to put in the fryer. I'll include a picture of that too, you can clearly see it. He did change his gloves later, but several other times with one glove off while handling other people's food and touched with both hands. Definitely need to address this food safety issue. Place was dirty, bad food handling practices and soda still not fixed. So sorry to have that happen.

Honestly, a decent halal burger. Nothing crazy but also not bad. They're not pricey like all the other halal burger spots and they're open late. We come here if we want a quick cheap burger. I wouldn't tell people from out of town to stop by, but it definitely has a purpose. Their local halal burger competition is tastier but much more expensive, so it depends what kind of burger you're craving. Their chicken is hand slaughtered which is very nice

I just elevated my tastebuds burger game after this delicious lip smacking experience. This is a Halal friendly spot that has a tasty gem I must tell you about. I ordered the Lebanese burger that came with your basic sesame bun, cheese and beef patty. What made this burger super exciting to my tastebuds was the coleslaw. I'm not sure exactly what it was but it leveled up the burger and with the added fries mashed up inside! Oh Man! I was like Dayuuum! This is like a Ratatouille moment for me with all the elements working together after the first bite. The last time I had a first time winner was my beloved Fatburger and that's saying a lot. The service was great and a big shoutout to Mo! Plenty of seating inside and patio seating also on the side of the joint plus plenty of parking too. And that's my take on this joint, Peace out.

We wanted to grab some lunch since we were shopping around the area. Found this spot and noticed they serve Halal meat. We never tried Halal burgers, so we were curious.Check-in: Make sure you check in on Yelp for an old fashioned burger $8.99 combo meal!Parking: They're located in a plaza. Plenty of free parking.Ambiance/Environment: It's a very casual spot. They have a medium sized space with plenty of seating and limited outdoor seating.Service: There were only 2 workers. We mainly interacted with Moe since he took our order and checked on us a couple times. Both workers were quick and efficient. What we ordered:1) Ranch Burger - This had a good amount of ranch. They also gave us more ranch on the side. The beef patty was cooked well with a generous amount of Swiss cheese!2) Coleslaw Lebanese Burger - The beef patty was seasoned well! The red onions & coleslaw made it more vibrant and gave it flavor. I'd prefer a bit more fries in the burger, but it was still good.3) Fried Zucchini - This is exactly what it sounds like and tasted as expected. The breading was good. The exterior was definitely crunchy.4) Cheese Fries - Ironically there was no cheese, but the fries were seasoned well. Don't forget to dip!5) Gourmet Wings (6 pieces) - These were my favorite! Their wings were drenched in their house Gourmet sauce and fried perfectly. It was absolutely delicious!Pricing: These prices are $. What a steal especially in this economy! Highly recommend!

Came in on Sunday Lunch and it was fairly empty. I think the big part of this place is that all the meat is Halal which is great if you're into that. The burgers are your classic burgers with a few added things and overall they are good. Owners/workers were also very nice and friendly. They walked me through the options and told me what's popular. I tried out these items.Spicy Burger - Personally this one was kind of whatevers. It is a basic burger with jalapenos. Nothing bad, but also nothing too special. (3.5/5)Coleslaw "Labanese" Burger - I enjoyed this one. Coleslaw was creamy and overall this is a VERY saucy burger. Burger patty was flavored well. Had French Fries inside too. (4.5/5)Onion Rings - Honestly felt the sides were the best part. One of the best onion rings I've had because I love it when its super crunchy. Solid (5/5).Fried Zucchini - Also another winner. Good breading and overall flavors. Didn't think it was that greasy. (5/5)Overall I enjoyed this spot. I don't think it's the best burger I've had but for a quick bite I enjoyed it. Don't skip on the sides because they were definitely the best part IMO.

OVERALL : Gourmet Burger serves a variety of burgers and sandwiches (both beef and chicken options) as well as some salads and appetizers such as onion rings, fries, and wings. They are a simple, no-frills establishment but open until 2am every day which is great for late night cravings. They have the classic hamburger / cheeseburger meals, but also more unique options like mushroom burger, BBQ burger, Coleslaw Lebanese Burger, and a Sourdough Burger. Default orders come with 1 patty but you can pay a little more to upgrade to 2 patties. I thought the combo (burger, drink, side) was filling! Service was fast and friendly, and I appreciated the fresh veggies + Halal meat patties made in house. PARKING : Shared parking lot with other businesses, but not crowded. You should not have any issues finding parking!FOOD/DRINKS : Straw Onion Burger: sesame bun, chipotle mayo, beef patty, pepper jack cheese, straw onions, tomato, lettuce -- loved the classic sesame bun on this one, and the straw onions added a nice crisp! Ranch Burger: wheat bun, beef patty, Swiss cheese, straw onions, lettuce, tomato, ranch dressing -- the ranch made this saucy, but not too overbearing! Wheat bun was unique and you could def taste the difference versus just a normal white bread bun. Onion Rings and Fries -- soooo crispy! Loved the classic ketchup and ranch with these!

I had the chance to try Yelp's best burger in the nation in Hawaii at Shige's Saimin Stand, but that doesn't even come close to the burger I had here at Gourmet Burger. If you are served by Mo, hes super friendly and an awesome owner. Make sure to say hi to him as he appreciates every single one of his customers. The plaza it is located in has plenty of parking, and there is a good amount of space inside. Its reminiscant of a simple but homey burger joint.I got to talk to him about this business and how he puts so much effort into making every burger. All the meat is Halal, and prepared fresh daily. They prep, grind and smash the meat for all their patties. Same with the veggies, they are prepped every morning so nothing is left overnight. And not to forget their sauces are homemade as well.I ordered a BBQ burger and a Lebanese coleslaw burger, both had nicely seasoned meat patties stacked with fresh veggies. Taste wise and visually, it was everything a good burger should be. Not greasy, piled high with toppings and delicious. They do put a lot of sauce on the buns, so if you don't like too much sauce just let them know.Overall really solid burger, and it really helps to know everything is prepared fresh. You can taste the difference.

Don't forget the Fried Zucchini, French Fries, and Onion Rings, all paired with a delightful trio of dipping sauces! Mo was helpful at the front helping us decide the perfect burgers for us! Plenty of seating indoor and outdoor or grab and go!
