Gook Hwa House

This is a must try if you love dumplings. I stop by when I'm in H Mart to shop. Dumplings and baos are freshly prepared. My favorites are the shrimp and kimchi dumplings. Definitely not skimpy, and very flavorful. Service is fast, staff friendly and helpful. Placing an order is convenient, I stop by there first and then do my shopping. Then I just pick up my order before I head to check out. Orders are packed nicely. It gets pretty packed on weekends, so I don't get to stop by as often as I would like. You can eat there as well, since they're located in a (very) small food court with a few tables.

This place is conveniently located just as you're entering H-mart. There is also some tables and chairs just across from the establishment. We ordered the medium boneless soy garlic chicken just before we made our round at the grocery store. The chicken was cooked well even though it was white meat. Yes, I wished it was dark meat for the boneless chicken, but flavors made up for it. The portion was very generous. And I also appreciate that the sauce coated every single piece of boneless chicken in the box. The chicken is made to order so we had to wait a bit while they prep that for us. The food came in a brown box and a brown paper bag. This is great because of their generous portion, we ended having to save the rest of our food for a later snack and that paper bag came in handy!

Best jjim bbang and wang mandoo! Located inside H Mart, this spot is well worth the extra trip. The service is quick, the staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. The soy garlic chicken was incredible the first time but has tasted different on recent visits, but will probably give it another try. It would be even better if they included white radish with the chicken.

After getting some mandu and taiyaki from Deli Mandoo, I walked over to Gook Hwa House as this place was recommended by the lady from Tour Les Jours. She said they have very good foods so here I am. I take recommendations very seriously especially when it comes to food LOL.They were very busy at the time. There was only two people working. The lady behind the cashier was very pleasant and hardworking. I ordered 1 10 piece Korean fried chicken with soy garlic sauce, 1 order of 10 deep fried leek dumpling, 1 order of 10 xia long bao, and 1 order of 6 steamed red bean bun. Portions were huge especially the big red bean buns. I have never seen so much red bean filling. Everything was so delicious. My favorite was the deep fried leek dumpling... again tons of leek filling. Yummy!!!I will be coming back here for more deliciousness. I want to try their other fried and steamed offerings. I highly recommend Gook Hwa House aka Cr8zy Bao located in Super H Mart food court in Diamond Bar. Indoor seating is available. Restrooms are near the food court.

Loved their dumplings and king bao... i look forward to when I'm able to my HMart grocery shopping coz I get to take home some of the dumplings and king bao.

This is one of my favorite dumpling places for the past few years. I like their baos and shrimp dumpling. Their fried squid is fire also. Watching the chefs make the dumpling by hand is quite the show also. I love coming here from time to time to eat the dumplings.
