We had a triple date here tonight. Jesus our waiter was phenomenal. He had that balance of being attentive but not too much. Checked in on us when we needed something. His recommendations on the empanadas and shrimp appetizer were spot on. We also had the dip. It was a little spicy but overall was pretty good (to be fair I can't take much heat/spice). We didn't eat much of the dip but that was bc we had drinks, the others apps including one person having soup which was meal size portion. The bread was really good as well.A couple people tried the rib eye, my wife got the pichana, I split the big platter with a friend and probably the best thing ordered was the asado one of our friends got. Honestly all the meats were good. The platter was really good. Didn't try the chicken bc we were so full from the other cuts of meat on there. We all had leftovers. But the asado was the best cut. The pichana and skirt steak was up there. One thing was we would've all tried the different sides. We all made the mistake of getting the same side dishes each. We wished we mixed it up so we could've tired them all. Too full for dessert. We were there about 3 hours. They didn't rush us out even though we paid after 2 hours. We just relaxed and talked and drank for another hour. Service, Ambience and Food were great. And a lot of parking and it's free.

Came here for Valentine's Day. For a steakhouse in a strip mall the interior is pretty. The outdoor seating area is pretty, but you have a view of the street/traffic/ corporate buildings. They also have a room that had a looooong table that looked amazing for group events. The food was ok. We got like a meat sampler that was $138 (I think), a mussel pasta and the sea bass. One thing that annoyed me was they only gave a small cup of the chimichurri sauce with the bread, but didn't give us any for the giant meat platter. We had to ask for more, but since it was valentines it took awhile. The chicken was incredibly dry, lamb was ok, but the skirt steak was amazing.

Came here for a Valentine's dinner with my other half. We started with the Al Pastor and Smoked Beef Rib Empanadas. Both were good but we preferred the smoked beef rib by far. We shared a glass of the Argentine Malbec since I don't really drink much. Damn, what a fantastic glass of red wine that was!My girlfriend ordered the Chicken Milanesa which was delicious! It was fried perfectly and juicy on the inside with a really nice flavor. I ordered the Parrillada Argentina which consisted of Skirt Steak, NY Strip, Lamb Chops, Short Ribs, Argentina Sausage and Chicken. If I had to rank them...1. Skirt Steak2. Short Ribs3. Sausage4. Lamb Chops5. NY Strip6. Chicken The quality of all the meats were quite good. Unfortunately, I didn't really taste the wood they were grilled with, despite being told Mesquite was used, I also found the meats a little under salted. It's worth trying out once for the really cool atmosphere and good meat quality, although I don't know if I would go again simply on the meats lacking flavor. I will say our server Nicky was so awesome!

Came here with my wife for the first time for dinner!!!The service here is really good! Really liked how nice they were. We ordered the ribeye and picanha for the meat dish, fried, salad, and calamari for sides. The ribeye we got was over seasoned and super salty. Fortunately, we told them about it and they made a new one for us. The picanha was great!! We asked for medium but it came out medium rare so had to ask them to re cook it again. The side dishes were okay, your average dishes. If it wasn't for the good quality service, would've given this place a lot lower rating.

Visited on a Tuesday for my husband's birthday. Walking in we were impressed with the rustic and masculine decor. Started with the short rib empanadas, my favorite. Main dishes ordered the half rack of lamb and Seabass. The lamb was tough and lacked freshness and the Seabass missed the flavor. The complimentary chocolate cake was delicious and paired well with the dulce de leche gelato! Our server was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely return for the empanadas and gelato!

Great service for a big party! This location looks aesthetically pleasing. I love the grocery area at the lobby where you can purchase steak, cheese, wine and more. The food were great. The steak phenomenal. The lamb was good. The house bread with the dipping sauce was tasty especially the spicy one.

Gaucho Grill is an Argentine Steakhouse has locations in Buena Park (near Knott's Berry Farm) and Downey. When I go Argentinian, I look for good steak and good empanadas and this place does both wonderfully. This week they have great deals for dine LA (which I have confirmed includes this Buena Park/OC location), but I took advantage of their lunch specials (available regularly on weekdays from 11-2:30) that allow me to have empanadas for $5 and steak with fries for $22. I want to come back for another lunch for their burger with habanero chimichurri, but it's hard to pass up a fire-grilled steak, especially at this price point. The most frequent complaint from reviewers is that the steaks are "bland" and "underseasoned", but I really didn't have that problem with this experience. If you add a little of their provided chimichurri, mango salsa, or charred lemon, then it gives a little acid that makes the flavors of the steak and seasoning really sharp. It was really good!Their short rib empanada is their best-selling empanada and I enjoyed it! The dough was crispy, the meat was juicy, and the chimichurri brought it to the next level. Overall, I really recommend coming in for lunch if you're in the area; however, from 1/24 through 2/7, you could get great deals for dinner as well for dine LA, even at this OC location!

Wow! Our experience tonight was outstanding! Josue was our waiter today and he was awesome! Great service the whole time here! Celebrating my daughter's 19th birthday at Gaucho did not disappoint. Since it was a celebration dinner, very few pics taken since we were focused on the birthday girl. Our party of 8, enjoyed the 45 Oz Tomahawk dinner, includes 2 sides as well as the Ultimate parradilla with 2 sides- Fries, Rice, Veggies and mash potatoes. Complimentary bread. Apps on the table were chicken and cheese empanadas & Al pastor empanadas. QUE RICA! My party was so satisfied with the food, service and ambiance. Gaucho made me look good today! Happy Birthday to my darling!

Nice modern space and friendly service. Chairs in the greenhouse are too low and due to the arms aren't able to sit comfortably while eating.Argentines are well known for their grilled meats. This place misses the mark on all the cuts. Even their "fancy" tomahawk. Sorta cute presentation. But not the most fun when you have to cut it yourself. Same for the mixed platter. Piles of meats on top of each other which is difficult to share. The cuts of meats themselves were unremarkable.Check it out at your own risk.
