Full Moon Sushi

Earlier this week, I finally got to use the $10 gift cert that I received as a holiday gift/reward from the Full Moon staff back in December. It's very rare for restaurants to acknowledge/reward their loyal customers and I am so grateful to the staff at this location not only for the thoughtful gift but also for the superior service. Full Moon offers authentic japanese food, friendly/exceptional service at a VERY affordable price point. How affordable? They have combo items (2 items with rice, salad, miso soup) for under $ 10. They have not raised their price from the first review I posted over 2 years ago, and the quality has not changed so thank you and great job to the ownership/management.With inflation at its highest these days, the inexpensive meal is an extra perk but the main reason I always look forward to coming here for lunch is to see the staff's friendly faces and enjoy the great food!

I recently started working in the area and was looking for a quick lunch. I stumbled upon this place. It's located in a pretty busy shopping plaza (Larwin Square) but found parking fairly easy. I walked in for lunch time and was seated right away as it wasn't super crowded. You can only order sushi at bar seating and then restaurant seating you can order off both menus. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area. The prices are also amazing, I ate for under $20. Food review:Salmon avocado roll: (4/5) The salmon is delicious and tastes fresh, but the rice was a little too hard to eat. They're decent sized rolls!Tuna and salmon carpaccio style: (5/5) Literally the salmon melted in my mouth. It was very flavorful. Tuna was okay, next time I'd definitely get all salmon if I could.

Japanese restaurants have really been skyrocketing in prices, so it's nice to see affordability here. I'll admit you get what you pay for so the quality of the food was, ehhhhhhhNo reinventing the wheel here, just standard Japanese food. Can't go wrong with that!

Love coming here! This place has been open for many years! They have great lunch and dinner specials! The service here is great, very friendly staff and attentive. Easy to find parking and few tables inside.

Arguably the best sushi joint in OC. Have done take-out from here more times than I can count, but only have dined in once. Everything is good here--from non sushi items (dumplings, gyoza, etc.) to the sushi itself. Some of my favorites are the lemon salmon roll, crunch roll, and baked ono roll

Came on a Friday night, and it was packed! Luckily, I was solo, so I was able to be seated at the bar with no wait.Most of what I ordered tasted mid, BUT I can say it was still worth it for the price - majority of the menu is priced $1-3 cheaper than the average sushi place in the OC.The items I ordered that stood out:1) Super California Roll - essentially a budget catapillar roll. Super worth for only $102) Amaebi Nigiri - most places give you just the fried head, but this place fried the entire shell! Absolutely great for only $5 - my most recommended item here.

Honestly for the price you can't beat this place. We ordered to go last weekend and the food quality was pretty good, ready on time, and everyone enjoyed their food! We will be back :)

Hmmm 4 stars...While it's convenient here, and quick services certainly this place is kind of confusing to me. They have Japanese staff, but the food doesn't seem authentic. The tempura batter is too thick, the teriyaki beef is just thin slices out together, and the rice is too hard. For this looking for quality authentic Japanese food, I think this would be disappointing. I really want to like it, but twice in our last visit, they brought us someone else's food. The tempura wasn't that good. The price is amazingly affordable, but maybe they don't get the best cuts of fish, chicken and meat. I want to like it here, but I don't know if this will be in our regular lineup anymore.

AFFORDABLE! GREAT QUALITY! After eating at a nearby sushi restaurant that gave us spoiled tuna, me and my girlfriend were pretty skeptical of sushi and raw fish. We decided to try Fullmoon because someone recommended the restaurant to us and we were so happy that the fish tasted fresh, our tempura came out Hot, and its so much more affordable than any other sushi spot in OC. Sure, its not a place where they have reinvented sushi but if you want a reliable, affordable and delicious sushi and food, this is the place to be. For 4 rolls and an appetizer, it was around $50, normally, it would be $75+ anywhere else in OC.
