Any restaurant that overlooks the water adds to the dining experience. My coworkers and I stayed at the Hotel Maya and decided to have a nice meal. It's been my experience that restaurants at hotels aren't really that great, but this was the exception. Fuego offered delicious appetizers and entree dishes. Our servers were very attentive.

Went here for the 2025 Valentines menu with a reservation at 8pm. We set our reservation weeks in advance and received no notice of a set menu, bumping our price from $50-60 pp to $100+ pp. We arrived 10 minutes early and were seated 20 minutes after our reservation.Course by course, this seemed like a nice meal! We were willing to pay the extra if the restaurant delivered on a lovely dinner. The opening dish was oysters on the half shell, served on an overwhelming bed of salt and pomegranate seeds. Mediocre, and tiny portions. Our next dish was the roasted carrots - some were roasted all the way through and others were undercooked. We also got the hamachi tiradito, and got 4 tiny slivers of fish with a MASSIVE bed of seaweed salad. The main dishes are where we bailed, I got the risotto and she got the lobster tagliatelle. My risotto was bland and undercooked (and had a topping of crunchy hazelnuts, which didn't blend well with the texture of undercooked rice), and her pasta was overly buttery and fishy. We decided to take the mains home, and that was the fastest service we received the whole time. The people on either side of us were also complaining, and both left early. We went to Mcdonald's after and were happier with the service and food we got there. For $319, we expected better.

The food was Gross and cold. Everything on the menu was over priced. They also add a 20% gratuity.Neither of us ate our food. I got the spinach and mushrooms risotto add chicken. Never again!!! The favors did not go together. Waste of money.Someone please tell me does black beans and roasted corn belong in risotto????The service was ok. There was 10 people working and only 4 working the five tables. The was one lady that was super rude and seemed like she didn't want to be at work. The ambiance was ok. It was a regular outdoors setting. Please refund me!!!!

Stopped here on our way to an event at the Queen Mary. Quick bite and cocktails; the place is not cheap but at a convenient location. Our waitress was friendly be hilarious and helped us with questions regarding the cocktails. We had a Paloma and their version of an Old Fashioned. Little water down drinks but tasty. The ocean view is awesome, if you get a table in the patio!

Fuego is a restaurant inside Hotel Maya. We weren't staying at the hotel but went to eat there based on a recommendation. It was a Sunday, so we were there for brunch. It was another beautiful California day and the view from the outside seating was nice (see pic). The Queen Mary is also visible, but forgot to take a picture; be warmed, the boat horn blows at noon. I ordered the french toast, it was meh. My wife and friend ordered tacos which they enjoyed.Overall it's a decent place to maybe hang out, but the food is nothing special for the price. The employees were pleasant enough, but seemed there were periods of waiting, like being told there was no creme brûlée 30 minutes after having ordered it.

Fuego is still the satisfying restaurant that I experienced years ago. Seems folks have been disappointed with the service, but the service for my party of 6 was on top of things yet again. I've enjoyed every item I ordered here. This time, I got the Crab Cakes ($22) which were two generous cakes of jumbo lump crab meat fried with panko crust. The Choriqueso ($16) was a nice sharing plate of melted Oaxaca and asadero cheese with spinach and chorizo mixed in it. The Side Fuego Salad ($16) was more of a main! It was definitely larger than your regular side salad and the medley of pecans, goat cheese, heirloom tomatoes, and sliced apples in a creamy chipotle dressing was the perfect complement to our other dishes. For drinks this time around, I loved the French 75 and Premium Fuego Margarita. They do a great pour on the drinks! Romantic view of the LB skyline and water, high ceilings and Mayan decor makes you feel like you're in a resort far away. They validate parking, but we still had to pay $5 while being there for about an hour or so.

The food was pretty good, and you have such a beautiful view of the ocean and the queen Mary when you sit out on the patio. The cocktails were delicious. We ordered the braised short ribs and the fillet of salmon. The downfall of this place was the service. It was extremely slow. We had to flag down anyone that was walking by just to get our order put in and get a water and to order more drinks, etc.. but I imagine this place would be a five out of five if the service was better because the food was tasty. It's a great spot for an event or a birthday or even a date night.

One of our favorite "secret" spots in LBC although not so secret any more. Fun menu and great drinks, with A++ setting and service. Highly, highly recommend.

This is place is beautiful! Both indoors and outdoors offer beautiful views of the coast. Outdoors you get a better view of The Queen Mary ship. Service is amazing. Staff were extremely friendly and attentive to everyone's requests. I didn't get our servers name but he was very kindhearted. The food was delicious, highly recommend the breakfast and lunch here. The Choriqueso is a must order along with the Cucumber Basil Martini.

Restaurant is filled with beautiful art on the inside, but you can't beat the view outside. The staff is super accommodating with customizations and getting things out quickly or adjusting your seat if the sun changes. The food is fabulous - amazing tacos, tasty salsas, creamy guac, crunchy chips, and yummy margs.
