Duo dip, this includes the cheese dip and also the guacamole. It's one of the main reasons I come here.

Fred's is always a must when in Huntington Beach. Get patio seating and people watch from above. Restaurant is huge. Patio is cozy. Menu selections are decent. Service is always friendly. Food is good. My husband always orders the carne asada burrito or shredded chicken burrito. I usually order the steak fajitas but opted for the Cheviche instead this time. Cold beers

Fred's has to be one of the all time best spots in HB, for drinks and for food, you won't go wrong stopping here. Bring the family, or come with friends and sit at the bar.The service is impeccable and top notch, the servers treat you like family, even when you're not. Our local favorite: KA Marg, 2 Mahi Mahi fish tacos, sub salad.Enjoy.

The food and drinks were amazing! I split the Carnitas burrito and ceviche with my friend and the portions were perfect. Everything tasted very fresh and the views of the beach are great. Service was nothing special, but no complaints.

We were in HB for the air show and the fog rolled in so off to Fred's we went while keeping our eye on the sky over the beach from our table. We were very impressed with the friendly service from our hostess and server. We had salsa and chips which were fresh and flavorful. We also shared the shrimp and steak fajitas which fed both of us and were my lunch for the next two days !We also saw a huge order of nachos being served that looked like it could feed about 5 or 6 people! We will be back !

A Huntington beach Main Street staple. Ive been going here for years. Have I had more authentic Mexican food? yes. But does this place still taste delicious? yes! Gringo Mexican food, if you will. But who doesn't love cheese enchiladas or crunchy beef tacos? beans smotherd in cheese and chips with salsa. My burrito was MASSIVE. worth every penny. I would compare the food to El Torito, but bigger portions. The margaritas here are sweeter, but the alcohol in them is generous. If you can, sit outside and enjoy the beach views. Its a prime location to watch the waves or a sunset. Very casual environment too, sandals and tanks are encouraged!

Went here for Taco Tuesday specials which are from 4pm until closing time and have tacos for $3 to $4.50. Good spot upstairs with views of the ocean and boardwalk, located across the PCH from the HB pier. There's also an elevator for accessibility directly into the restaurant. They allow dogs and you can even order a dish of cooked meat and kibble for small or large breeds. Summertime is busy and wait time can vary between 15 minutes to an hour on Tuesday nights. HB boardwalk also has their Surf City Nights, where they close down 3 blocks of Main Street (the downtown/boardwalk/pier) to host a community street fair and farmers market filled with local artisans, fresh produce, and live music performances. It's a lively night out with family and friends. Now onto the food at Fred's. My family ordered a smattering of tacos and the chicken taco salad ($19) with a side of rice and beans ($6). All tacos were decent sized ($3.50 to $6 for Taco Tuesday), mostly served on flour tortillas, and larger than your street tacos. It's definitely Americanized Calimex food, but hey you're more than likely here for the atmosphere. I also had the mango magarita and the cadillac margarita (with Grand Marnier). Both were good but pricey at $16+ each. Beers range from $6.50 up. Regular prices for their food is comparable to what you'd pay for casual beachside venues. The draw again is of course location, vibes, and view. And also the 80s music videos playing on their multiple LCD screens around the bar.

I want to first say how much I love Fred's for its location, atmosphere, and friendly staff.I dined for lunch yesterday and asked the server which drinks they make into mocktails. I was given the option for strawberry, lime, or a pina colada mocktail. My friend and I ordered one strawberry and one pina colada mocktail to enjoy. The drinks came quick, and tasted great, but they were served in plastic cups which made us feel like children. Everyone else had cute glass goblets and we both kept saying how much we wished ours had come that way too. Because of this we didn't feel like boomeranging or cheers-ing which is the one thing that is important to us since we are sober but still want to have fun! The salad was great and the portion was great too! I had the bikini sized salad and it was perfect for one person to enjoy and finish in one setting. This restaurant is upstairs on main and pch and has views of the pier and of Main Street. Parking is available in a nearby structure that is free for first 90 minutes.
