Fire Wings

Service was outstanding today at 1:35pm Saturday. The cashier was friendly, recommended a sauce and was overall welcoming to this place. This is the second time I've been back and the service has been above average. A simple smile and friendliness goes a long way.Ordered my go to Salt and Pepper wings with garlic fries. It is still very good, quality wings. It was a cold breezy December day so I decided to take the wings home to grub.

Fire Wings is located off of Birch and State College, directly across the street from the Brea Mall. It is easy to locate and access. Parking is plentiful. The restaurant design concept is unique in that it has 2 very large garage-type roll up doors on the long side of the establishment, opening up to patio seating. This makes the space airy, but very chilly when the temps are low. Seating is plentiful inside with the option of high top or traditional tables. We came in after the lunch rush so we were able to order at the counter (during busier times, ordering at the table from a QR menu is highly encouraged). The gal working the front was pleasant and efficient. My friend and I ordered off of the lunch specials menu: 10 piece wings and 6 piece wings combo. We both opted for the boneless version. Let's start with just the overall boneless wings. As others have mentioned, these breaded chicken chunks are nothing special. They are similar to frozen boneless chicken you can buy at Costco. So the flavors are what should set them apart, right? In my 10 piece, I chose 5 Malaysian curry and 5 peanut sauce. While there was some curry taste, salt was the most prominent flavor. I was especially excited to try the peanut wings, only to be disappointed. While there was some peanut sauce flavor, there was an underlying Thai chili flavor that had me puzzled. My friend ordered the garlic Parmesan wings. They were served cooked and then topped with minced garlic and shredded Parmesan cheese. The side of sweet potato fries was a generous serving and had a nice flavor. Coke drinkers be warned, only Pepsi is served here and no unsweetened iced tea options are available. So bottom line is, the experience was fine , but the food was underwhelming. Not sure if bone in wings are better. Perhaps we'll give this place another try and order those next time. It's a shame, because their flavor options have some unique choices.

Just ate here with the family. The food overall was average. The employees were walking outside, vaping and then coming back in all in customer view. Tables were never wiped down, dirty and sticky. Restrooms were filthy, hadn't been clean for a long time. The worst thing is the ventilation is broken the employee told us so "we have to keep the doors open or it will smell.". We were shivering cold and finally just had to leave.

Friends and I wanted to get a quick lunch somewhere and saw this place pop up on Yelp. It looks like on certain days there are deals based on the different type of wings you get. I got the mango habanero 6pc combo and honestly it was super filling because it also came with fries and a drink. This spot has a ton of open seating from bar seats, tables, and outdoor. You order at the front, they give you a number, and then they'll bring out food to your table when it's ready.

Tried this restaurant for the first time and it started with frustration because they ask you to grab a seat and scan the bar code that is located on the table to order and pay. The problem was that my husband and I have struggled for 10 minutes since the chicken tender combo did not have an option for fries when it suppose to come with the meal so we finally gave up on the app and ended up going to the front and ask the staff to order. When we share the frustration with the staff, she apologized for the inconvenience and kindly explained that they were having a technical problem with the app that they are currently working on it. She handled the situation very calmly and professionally, which I applause her greatly. She even upgraded one of our orders without letting us know, which was very kind of her. Their customer service is beyond EXCELLENT.The restaurant is very spacious, enough to have a cool bar with several TVs and cool outdoor seating for dog owners to hang out with their cute dogs. I would say the boneless wing had an interesting texture and flavor because it is strangely identical as chicken McNuggets from McDonald's in a good way. Their wing flavors from original to fusion are fascinating. So far, I tried BBQ and Original Buffalo and both of them were great. Can't wait to try the other flavors next time.

Delicious wings! Might seem pricey but the wings are huge, very filling. We ordered 30 wings for 4 people and still ended with about 6-7 wings leftover. My favorite flavors were the asian flavors (dragon, thai chili, Saigon). I'll definitely be back, maybe for their Wednesday special of 95 cent wings.

They changed their ranch products for the wings and it taste disgusting now !!! Most likely they are using a cheaper product The ranch they use to have is what made the wings so great. Will not be coming here anymore

We ordered takeout and their wings are soooo good. Their zucchini fries are my favorite.

I've been curious about the garlic noodles for a long time and Fire Wings was one of the few places open by the time I finished work. The noodles were great. Very garlicy. The texture was chewy though. I also ordered the BBQ chicken pizza. The chicken wasn't great, but the sauce was good. The staff was friendly and speedy too. Not a bad place for drinks and snacks with friends.One disappointment was they don't honor the free drink Yelp check-in at this location. Glad I had my water bottle with me.

I would say these are Asian fusion wings. They're good wings for when you feel like Asian type wings and I like that there's garlic noodles on the side to complement the wings. I do think the wings are very pricey for what you get.However, I do like to come on Wednesdays when they have their wing special for bone in wings for less than $1 per piece. Now that's a great deal that can't be beat. Plus if you check in you get a free large fountain drink. Best flavor by far and pretty much my go to is Saigon.
