I came here to try the historical Serrano burrito. But that is impossible. I used to go to Serranos when I was in high school. I have searched high and low and have not found it. This place is trying but not quite there. Keep trying please.

Mostly come here for the weekend menudo and pozole. Food is good but seems a little high priced. Location really needs a facelift. Plenty of seating but kinda of an eyesore. YMMV

Best food in Santa Ana. Great service. They have been around for a long time and the great food helps you understand why. Everything is so fresh. I come here every weekend. The pozole is ON POINT !!!! This place is a must try!! Everything is good !!! From the tacos , to pozole to the barbacoa tacos ... Yummmm

First time trying, the breakfast burrito did have a few too many potatoes, but they're seasoned to perfection I didn't even care. The salsa is super good and flavorful, and their chips you can tell are house made, perfectly salted. Staff was very amazing, will definitely order again!

Food was tasty despite the negative reviews from years ago. I'm glad I stopped by to try their menudo this morning. The tortillas were made fresh unlike nearby restaurants that serve packaged versions. The owner was super friendly checking to see if I needed more condiments or toppings during my meal. Albeit the price may seem a little on the higher side for the amount of food you get but then again food costs have gone up and inflation has affected all businesses. Would definitely come back to try other dishes and get more of that soft pillowy fresh made tortillas!

Been coming here for good Mexican food for many years going back to when it was one of the once popular but now gone Serranos taquerias. Definitely in the "dive" category on the Fieri scale, don't let the modest looking exterior taint any expectations of the yummy tacos, burritos and other fare awaiting the hungry eater. The tortillas are bomb, being hand-made and cooked fresh to perfection. Breakfast is a go-to item whether it's traditional huevos rancheros, breakfast burrito or basic bacon and eggs. Fish lovers will delight with the mojarra frita, or various camaron dishes.Aguas frescas are delicious and freshly made daily.The owners are friendly, bi-lingual and take pride in everything they serve. Prices are reasonable and on par with most Santa Ana taquerias. I'm a bit puzzled by the name Yelp gives this place since the signage and menus here simply say "Tori Nick Taqueria" without the El Torito prefix. There are about 6 tables inside for dining as well as a patio area right in front. Take out is available as well. Four stars for great Mexican food served up by friendly owners in a quirky but inviting venue.
