El Taco Loco

I've had 100000000 breakfast burritos from a bunch of fancy trendy spots in LA and yet nothing compares to a good old reliable, perfectly-made burrito from El Taco Locco. It just tastes like something my mom would make at home. I order the ham and egg burrito. The star of the show is the potatoes. Beautifully seasoned, thank goodness!! (PS, Why do so many other restaurants refuse to season their potatoes? Ew) The beans are also perfectly savory, soft texture. Next, the ham is thick sliced with great flavor. And the cheese is perfectly melted. All scrambled with egg wrapped in a tortilla. Yeah just simple and exactly what I want in a burrito. The green salsa was spicy, it packs a punch! That is my favorite one. Every time we crave a great burrito for an amazing price we come here!

I heard the tacos were good here so I decided to give it a try since I work a few minutes away and it was National Tacos Day. I get to the counter and some big dude with a giant San Judas chain looking like he was the sh** is the first thing I see. Whatever,,, he takes my order and is very short, but I'm in a hurry so idc. Now for the food, Wuacala! These tacos were pure fat. I ordered 2 carnitas and 1 Al Pastor because I'm very picky with it. I should have just driven to North Gate. This did not taste authentic!

FOOD: If you like authentic Mexican food, this small restaurant is worth a try. I frequently order their carne asada burrito without rice, and the taste is consistently great. The meat stands out compared to other places I've tried. Additionally, their New York steak is quite impressive, offering the same quality and taste you'd expect from a high-end steakhouse--tender and full of flavor. They also provide free chips and salsa. Plus, there are ongoing daily specials posted near the counter. SERVICE: You can tell it's a family-owned establishment; the two ladies behind the counter are always friendly, helpful, and attentive. I would assume that those were their son and daughter at the counter at times, and they were equally nice and friendly. Either to go or dine in order - the service is always great. AMBIANCE: Small and clean - nothing extraordinary for a typical Mexican restaurant, but what matters is the cleanliness, the quality of food, and the service. They do a great job in all these areas.

This place is hidden in a strip mall and has been here forever. Love that it's a family owned and operated business which goes out of their way to make it a good eating experience. So helpful and food is authentically delicious. The $.... can't beat it. So reasonable.

El Taco Locco is the storefront signage but on Yelp here it's Loco with one C. The taquitos and flautas are always good. The ensaladas are always fresh. The tacos certainly are crazy good. They may have certain specials for the week or for the day that you should always try to take advantage of. Their MOLCAJETE is The Best. It's a sizzling stone metal bowl with seafood and meats and goodies that you provide enough so that you can probably share between two people or by yourself if you are planning to handle the problem of being happily overstuffed. It's just very very good. Sabroso! Perfectamente. And the ambiance is welcoming. And the service is so kind.

Great customer service and Authentic Mexican food. It's like a home away from home. Yes the place is not trendy, and the decor might seem just ok, but don't let that fool you. The food is amazing. It's tasty and delicious. Every time I come to visit my friend, I always end up stopping by here. I truly love ordering their Chicken Taquitos with refried beans only (my preference). The taquitos are moist, and completely full.

I had high hopes for this place although I didn't do any research prior to my visit, it's close to my job so I thought I'd give it a try! I ordered a bean & cheese burrito for my first visit (it's just what I do, it's a safe thing to order because beans are a staple at a Mexican restaurant) the burrito was awful, the cheese never melted, the beans weren't hot, the tortilla didn't have any warmth to it, it was a very sad lunch. The chips were okay, the salsa verde was tasty, wish I had some hot food to pour it on, I was surprised I ate my lunch without sending it back, it was hard to eat. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, the service was really nice- you can tell it's family owned and operated, the restaurant itself was pretty tidy, they bring your food to the table. Not sure I would return.

The service was really good and friendly. The place is nice and clean. But $13.30 for four tacos??? I don't think so. The meat was not the best quality and they were a bit dry. I got 2 asada, 1 pastor, 1 carnitas. Carnitas was def the best of the three but still mid.

Customer service was excellent and the breakfast burrito was delicious! I've had had many breakfast burritos and this spot takes the #1 spot hands down!
