El Pirata Mexican Seafood

Tiny portions and expensive for what you get.Came here for quick grub one day and ordered a few items to share. The prices here are significantly higher than other Mexican restaurants in the area and the portions are much smaller. The quality of the food is also mediocre at best. The meats were overcooked and rather dry. Not sure what happened but the quality has deteriorated over time. Likely not returning.

I love the food at El Pirata. Even though Agua Chile is my go-to, I have tried their quesadillas, fish tacos, Chile verde, rice & beans, chips& salsa. Their red salsa is blended, spicy, delicious. I'm addicted to it once I start eating it. You will love their food, it's authentic, delicious and made with love. I have suggested this restaurant to my co-workers and family. I would recommend it to anyone, looking for a great meal, in our little backyard of Diamond Bar. It is a hidden gem.

So I love taco Tuesday. I love their shrimp tacos and my wife loves their pork and carne asada tacos. Of course, their shrimp tower is amazing. Food is great. Love a good whole in the wall. Glad this is here in Diamond Bar since we don't have any other Mexican food.

El Pirata is a hidden gem for seafood lovers! The flavors burst through every dish, especially the ceviche. The ambiance is relaxed and welcoming, making it perfect for casual dining. The staff is super friendly, adding to the enjoyable experience. I highly recommend trying their tacos; they're a must-have! Overall, a delightful spot for Mexican seafood that I can't wait to revisit.

We love El Pirata! We've been getting food from this place for years now and it never disappoints. From shrimp tacos, ceviche, to the grilled fish. Excellent food.

So I learned of this restaurant at a yelp event. The sample of chips, salsa and ceviche were so delicious they warranted a visit to try the menu, and let me tell you.....THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! Don't worry the windows look dark and the way the high chairs were visibly stacked makes it look like they're closed, but they're open (check business hours though).Service 5/5 friendly & attentive Cleanliness 5/5 (Restrooms are not public, BUT impressively knowing the importance of waking your hands before you eat, there's a standing sink with soap & paper towels to use)Flavor 5/5Decor 4/5Now to the REAL reason you're here.... THE FOOD .....Chips & salsa - STILL delish ! Chips come to the table warm! Salsa FLAVORFUL with a lil heat to it! Fajitas Mixtas - HONEEEEEY!!! I closed my eyes and did a lil dance they were sooooo good! DO NOT sleep on this dish!! Shrimp, chicken, and steak fajitas served with a mini quesadilla on top. I could've just had the peppers & onions and had the same reaction! SOOOOOO GOOD!!!!We shared this meal and then also got a taco a la carte.Carnitas taco..... again an eye closing, shoulder bouncing, table dancing, mmmmm good item! Simple taco, carnitas, cilantro, & onions. Taco de Camarón....I didn't get to taste this one, but my friend said it was good as well.Clearly you're here for suggestions so..... go order the fajitas mixtas and a taco and thank me later . Yelpers did me dirty! This place is a bust! The tostada de pescado tasted a little off and the filete sarandeado had a chipotle sauce that should not have been on there. The worst thing was the cucarachos...The sauce was disgusting, and the shrimp were not fresh. I will never be back and the food was extremely expensive.

Doing work at a local house in the neighborhood and this place popped up. It's very good and they definitely know how to make it fresh. The service is good and attentive. If you dine in when I went it was a little hot and the decor can use some updating. But overall is a good place to get seafood. The ceviche tower is great. I get it with red sauce on the side.

This is a great place within walking distance from my house. The tacos were so flavorful! Its a small, hole in the wall , but those are usually the best! Flor, took my order and it didnt take long until it arrived. I cant wait to come back to try something else!
