El Buen Gusto

The first thing I noticed was their outdoor patio frames with lots of greenery! Small tables outside are very welcoming. Interior decor is all new with a basketry theme. So charming! I was warmly greeted by the owner and waitress and was seated immediately. My order of Tacos de Camaron was so delicious! It was two tacos of tempura shrimp in warm corn tortillas with mayo chipotle dressing, cabbage, cheese, and pico de gallo. So good! I also was pleasantly surprised to find out that they serve café de olla! It was delicious!The staff made sure I was well taken care of. I'm definitely returning!!

I can't helped it lol I 'm trying to pick different dishes from the menu, I usually enjoyed the same things so it's time to try different things. I order huevos con chorizo and they are delicious! cafe de olla as usual and corn pancakes Yummy!!My mom order menudo and is really good you have to try it!This home made food it's the best!! I give them plus*** reasonable prices***

Under the new ownership, this place becomes my fav eatery in Whittier. New authentic delicious Mexican dishes 100% that can not find everywhere. I had for breakfast the chicharrón with eggs highly recommend, the menudo and pozole wow.!!! The new decor is very trendy but the food is the best.!

Such a cozy and beautiful spot close to home. Everything we tried was delicious!! The huevo con chicharrón is tasty because some parts of the chicharrón have meat. The breakfast burrito with chorizo is amazing! I love the fact that the corn pancakes aren't huge so you can enjoy them after the savory item you pick. The corn pancakes have lechera drizzled over them. Aside from the food being tasty, I must admit the service was the best thing for me. The ladies working here are so attentive and sweet, always asking if more coffee is needed. They make guests feel happy and one definitely considers going back to support the business. I can't wait to try other items on the dinner portion of the menu.

This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants! The service is absolutely wonderful! I feel so special every time I eat here. The people are always so welcoming. It feels like home. Everything is amazing! I really I love their posole burritos and always enjoy a wonderful Sunday breakfast! The food is high-quality and very fresh. I love how it is decorated and love how clean it is. It has a wonderful patio, beautiful inside and lots of great parking. It's easy to find and freeway adjacent.

Very clean, Amazing food, friendly staff. Nachos, birria tacos, and torta. All delicious. We will be back for sure.

New owners and a new look. This is our neighborhood spot and so happy these women are here. We've been twice and will continue to try everything on the menu. They are from Guadalajara and you can tell their recipes are authentic. Nice menu and not your typical. Regional favorites featured and outstanding. We haven't been disappointed and the beans are worth the trip. Highly recommend.

Ownership changed around last may 2024. The new owners use their own recipes and they are exceptional. My husband loves Menudo. I don't like to make it. There is tasty it's savory. It's very clean and my husband is very happy with the Menudo. I have had several of their breakfast and I have been very happy I will definitely be returning.

Very quiet and cozy little spot. FOOD WAS AMAZING. You can tell the cooked everything themselves.

Been here twice in a month and will keep coming back. The food is fresh and tasty. The empanadas are delicious. Service was terrific. The place was clean with nice lighting and soft music in the background. Just a quaint place for a very good meal.
