Out of all the times I've been here, Robert is easily the BEST server that compelled me to actually write a review. He was so helpful and friendly, it was much appreciated.Food is always good here no matter when you come, but I can't emphasize how amazing Robert's service was. My husband and friend were really impressed with how attentive he was. Thanks, Robert!

Came to dPot Irvine for dinner, and it was everything I needed on a chilly, rainy day! The cozy ambiance, flavorful broths, and high-quality ingredients made for the perfect hot pot experience. We ordered the wagyu with spicy broth and the seafood platter and WOW. The broth was rich and packed with flavor, and the meat and veggies were super fresh. Loved how customizable everything was! The stacker was phenomenal !!! Service was top-tier--our server was super attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Plus, the food came out quickly, which was a huge plus.If you're craving comfort food that hits the spot, dPot is a must-visit. Definitely coming back!

D Pot is hands down the best shabu place I've ever been to--no contest. The price is insanely reasonable for the quality you get. The meat selection? Chef's kiss. So many options, all fresh and high quality. I always go for the seafood broth, which is basically BCD's tofu soup in shabu form, and let me tell you, it hits every single time. And can we talk about the service? Our waitress was an absolute gem! She's taken care of us multiple times, and she's always so sweet, attentive, and welcoming. It makes such a difference when you don't feel awkward asking for meats or a refill. Wish we caught her name, she deserves a shoutout! The place is super clean, and the wait is never too crazy for what you're getting. If you love shabu and haven't been here yet, you're missing out. 10/10, already planning my next visit!!!

Came here for lunch on a Monday and it was my first time. I got the Mala broth and liked the selection of vegetables, noodles, and a variety of different sauces. Everything tasted like how I expected and it hit the spot because I was craving something hot and soupy. Inside was very big with lots of seating. The booth are a bit stiff and hard so not very comfortable but when we came there wasn't many people so service was really fast and quick. They kept checking in on us and asking if we needed anything else. If I'm in the area, I will definitely come back.

ORDERdinner (3.5/5)i got the spicy seafood broth and my friend for the bulgogi broth. both were flavorful; the spicy seafood had the perfect kick to it & the bulgogi reminds me of sukiyaki broth. as for the meats, we rotated between the various beef options, which were all super tender. the sauces were so good, i liked the sesame and ponzu sauce as is. my only and biggest complaint is the selection. for basically $40 a person after tax, i expected a wider variety. the "buffet" area is very small, i feel like if it was busier, there would be a wait there. i also tried the cold korean noodles, which i'll definitely pass on next time. SERVICE we waited less than an hour at around 8pm on a saturday. unfortunately, you can only join the waitlist once you're there. there was a little bit of a wait before someone took our order, but afterwards the staff were attentive and checked up on us every now and then. AMBIANCEplenty of indoor and outdoor seating. this plaza also has seats outside for those who have a long wait time.

This is my probably 4th time coming to dpot and I'm finally writing a review. But I feel like the quality of this place has gone down. Most times I've gone during dinner there isn't a wait, and you are able to get seated right away. The buffet bar is kind of small and has the usual hot pot items. The sauce bar always needs refilling of some sort. Their meat is also fatty and pretty oily. Even the pork belly stacker comes out fatty. Service is pretty mid, the server rushed to put the stacker on the table, I was trying to move stuff and he in turn spilled sauce on me. I'm pretty sad this place isn't the same anymore.

Nice all you can eat shabu shabu in Irvine. Similar to others. They had a good selection of vegetables and seafood, and of course unlimited top blade (they do have pork, lamb, and chicken if you're adventurist and want to go beyond beef). One unique plus is their option for "STACKERS" which is cooked beef and/or pork slices (thin slices) served on a bed of shredded cabbage. This is typically served early on so you have something to start on while you wait for your broth to heat up and the veggies to cook. Also they offer karrags, soba and Korean cold noodles dishes which were ok. Again more of an appetizer but wouldn't waste too much of your tummy space on these.

If you're trying to figure out what makes this hot pot restaurant different than others, it is the steamed meats. I was skeptical at first but I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised on how delicious it can be, flavorful, tender, and superb all around. We came during a weekend for dinner and had to wait about 30 minutes. Because this is located in the Woodbridge plaza by the AMC (formerly dollar theater - yes, I remember those days), there's plenty to do while you wait. Service was fast and we got our meats and broth within a few minutes of ordering. We got the bulgogi broth (kind of sweet, if you enjoy sweet broths) and mala broth (I'd say a 5/10 spicy level). Of all the meats, I recommend the rib eye, tender and melts in your mouth. There's also "small bites" of fried pork belly and chicken karaage. I recommend the latter. The interior is spacious but you should wear what you would wear to a kbbq because your clothes may smell like food afterwards.

I visited dPot based on recommendations from my friend and I was neutral about it. I feel like for the price, I expected a bit more from the restaurant. I think we paid about $44-50 in per person, but I think I could have eaten at somewhere cheaper for the same quality of meat. The sauce station was really really small. I think I waited about 10 minutes for it to be my turn to get the sauce which is not a pleasant feeling. Everyone was gathering around the sauce bar which makes it a bit dangerous, so I wish they make it a little bigger. The meat was mediocre but doable. I would only come back if my friend really want to go again.

All you can eat shabu shabu is so worth. I would recommend going for lunch since it's cheaper. The meat is high quality and very tasty considering it is all you can eat. So you get quality and quantity at dPot. The servers were also really nice when making sure if we needed anything. This ambience is nice. The place has a sauce bar like most other hot pot places, but they also have a station to get vegetables and other stuff to put in your individual pots.
