Din Tai went viral for a reason. Having a location at Disneyland was a brilliant move. Know that there's a 2-3 hour wait without a reservation. The weekends (obviously) are the busiest. Yet the food is always top notch and arrives hot and quick. Dumplings are a must. Make sure to order a few greens too (cucumber salad and green beans are my fave). Don't skip dessert! If you muuuuust ask, chocolate buns. Lovely restaurant. Lovely waiters and staff. Clean dishes and utensils. Already have my next reservation booked. You should too.

Awesome to have great dining options at Downtown Disney! Joined the waitlist while I was at Disneyland and left for an early dinner. Super easy! The food and drinks were as good as the other DTF locations I have been to. Got my usuals and then went back to Disney! The service was great as usual, definitely will come back the next time I'm at Disney!

We came after our two-park-hop-in-a-day with 25000 foot steps and had our waiting starting 6:30PM from 145th place in line on a MONDAY. After a few rides, we walked all the way and sat around 8:30PM.By now, any food would taste good since both me and my friend were very exhausted and hungry. But all the food we ordered (photo attached) were really good. I think it tasted more gourmet compared to other din-tai-fung" places I've been to. I think this is one of the places we would make our other day's planning around as a center plan. You can also enjoy other amenities and Disney shops around the area while waiting in the line if you're not waiting from the actual park. If you plan ahead, I think you'll get the best of both worlds, getting some attractions to see and experience while getting a good meal.Service was also really good!

Date of most recent visit: February 15, 2025In the short time that it's been open, Din Tai Fung has become one of the most popular go-to restaurants in Downtown Disney. We were there last year for my birthday, so for our belated Valentine's Day dinner, I was lucky enough to get a reservation a month in advance! On our previous visit, we'd had the crab and pork xiao long bao, garlic green beans, seaweed and bean curd salad, shrimp and kurobata pork potstickers, and chocolate and mochi xiao long bao. While everything was amazing, this time we wanted to try something a bit more different.- Kurobuta Pork Xiao Long Bao ($18.50): the classic that started the Din Tai Fung dynasty; the ten dumplings in each order are handcrafted with 18 folds, weigh 21 grams each, and are to be in balance with the "Golden Ratio."- Shrimp and Kurobuta Pork Wonton Soup ($17): no dumplings tossed into broth here and passed off as wonton soup *cough*Pick Up Stix*cough*! These are actual wontons - eight per serving - and the broth was hot and delightful.- Taiwanese Cabbage with Garlic ($16): while Kat can't have too much cabbage or cruciferous veggies because of her health condition, the light sauce and freshly sliced garlic stir-fried with the cabbage made both of us want more of this.- Chicken Fried Rice ($18): your basic fried rice with egg, chicken, and chopped green onion. Perfect serving size for two, but for larger parties you'll need an extra order. To go with our meal, we got a pot of Oolong tea - perfect accompaniment to our Taiwanese-inspired dinner. As most of the reviews have said, everything is DELICIOUS at Din Tai Fung. The setting is classy, and the servers are top notch. In fact, our server and I got into a conversation over what we liked and her recommendations.Unfortunately, all this decadence comes at a price; with tax and tip, our total came out to around $90... and there's no Magic Key Holder discounts here. But, Din Tai Fung is definitely worth the cost, and you gotta splurge once in a while! Looking forward to further visits to the Downtown Disney location!

Din Tai Fung at Downtown Disney is a delightful culinary experience that should not be missed for both vegetarians and meat lovers. I went with my friends during Lunar New Year! Loved my red envelop and the whole experience. The atmosphere is welcoming and perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. The service at Din Tai Fung is friendly and attentive, ensuring that every dining experience is enjoyable. Due to its popularity, reservations are highly recommended to avoid long wait times. One of my favorite dishes is the Xiao Long Bao. These soup dumplings are filled with tender pork and a rich broth, making each bite a burst of flavor. I also enjoy the cucumber salad which is refreshing and pairs well with all their dishes. Overall, Din Tai Fung at Downtown Disney offers an exceptional dining experience with its high-quality food, excellent service, and inviting atmosphere.

Wow!! Amazing dumplings and noodles! The only downside is that you order everything at the start and the dishes start coming out quickly. That ended up making us all feel as though we needed to eat quickly to make room on the table for the next thing. I'd make a point to slow down next time I went. Don't miss the chocolate mochi dessert with sweet cream air!!
