Good authentic Taiwanese food for the entire family. This location is closest to us and the price is not bad either.

The worse experience ever! The wait staff was busy working on their takeout orders. All 3 of them did not pay attention to the only 2 tables of customers. We had to call repeatedly to get the waiter to come over. The other table left before they got their food. Lol. This was my third time visiting this restaurant. It was never good, but they outdid themselves on the suck scale this time.

As a resident of Glendora, finding authentic Taiwanese food has always been a challenge. Typically, a trip to Arcadia is necessary to satisfy my cravings. However, Dago has changed that. Conveniently located near the mall with ample parking, this restaurant is a gem.The interior is simple yet spacious, easily accommodating large parties. The food was incredible. I tried the spicy beef noodle soup, Taiwanese wonton noodles, spicy pig ear, and the renowned Taiwanese sausage with rice. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The customer service was excellent. You can place your order via QR code or the traditional way by calling a server to your table. My dad, who is a connoisseur of Taiwanese cuisine, was particularly impressed. He even said it surpasses Sinbala, a well-known Taiwanese restaurant in Arcadia. Dago has definitely become our go-to spot for authentic Taiwanese food.

My mom recently went to the location in Chino Hills and really liked it. I looked it up on Yelp and saw they have this location in West Covina, so we decided to come here for lunch on a Thursday.Arrived at 12:00 and the place was empty and we were the only people there. Kind of scares you a bit when there are no customers at lunch, makes you think maybe something is wrong with the place. However, while eating, there were a lot of people picking up orders to go and 4 to 5 more tables were seated by the time we left. You seat yourself and you scan the QR code to order. We got the pork stew rice and Hakka style salted pork and both were really flavorful and tasty. The little sides were also really good, especially the eggplant. However, the worker said the veggie sides change daily, so you won't always get the same ones. Overall, really good portions, tasty food, and the price is pretty good for the amount of food you get. I highly recommend the two dishes we ordered.

Dago offers comforting Taiwanese food. The restaurant is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. We called in a takeout order and picked it up 15-20 minutes later. Black Pepper Pan Fried Chicken Filet with Rice (4/5)- The black pepper sauce was a flavor bomb and paired well with the chicken. Fried Pork Chop with Rice (5/5)- The pork chop was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The seasoning tasted similar to popcorn chicken. Each entree came in a bento lunchbox with 3 sides, marinated tofu, and maybe even minced pork. Our sides were bamboo, tomato egg, and a pickled radish.

1) Taiwanese Seafood Porridge 3.starSeafood is very fresh. Soup base is lack of a main Taiwan character: fragrant red onion.2) Oyster Omelet 2-starTraditionally, eggs is cracked directly other than pre-blended prior to cooking. Flavor is not bursting.3) Papaya milk 2-starMostly milk other than papaya flavorA not so Taiwanese spot...

I've had Dago in my bookmarks for quite some time and finally got the chance to give them a try while getting my tires aligned nearby. There's a plenty of seating. Orders are done via a qr code and add to cart situation. I had: Oyster Pancake - The sauce was served on the side which I wasn't used to. The pancake itself was ok with a good amount of veggies. The oysters didn't taste that great and the sauce itself was ok but a tad watered down. Popcorn chicken - I thought this could have used more marinade flavor in the chicken itself. The portion was pretty big, but the price is also pretty high. Milk tea with almond jelly - I seldom see almond jelly on the menu so was excited to try this. The tea was ok and the almond jelly was also just ok. Overall the experience was pretty mid, with the major deterrent being that prices here are relatively high for a mid experience that would be better if you have the patience to drive our to Rowland Heights or San Gabriel. I'm wondering if I got the wrong things as I do see more positive reviews for the pork chop and the sausages so I might try to give it another go the next time I have time in this area.

We came across this Taiwanese place in a small strip mall right across the street from Porto's in West Covina. Arrived around noon in a weekday, there was plenty of parking and we were the only ones that took a table. Soon after, a few single diners came in and more for take out orders. Water was brought to us quickly but no other words exchanged from the only guy working the entire restaurant. We quickly realized we need to scan the QR on the table to view the menu and place an order. Their digital menu gives many options to customize your food, even extra sauce or condiments. The first order, Taiwanese sausage rice set, came out much sooner than the other two soup noodles. I didn't try it but they were very generous with the sausage. The other two came out a while later. The squid thickened noodle soup was a bowl loaded with ingredients. The flavor wasn't bad but I enjoyed my spicy beef dry noodle more. It says dry, but comes in a bowl with broth. It wasn't really spicy and was a bit on the milder side but there was a generous portion of thinly sliced beef. The service wasn't really there, and I don't mean it was bad. It was just one guy taking care of everything in the front so can't really blame him for not coming by to see how we were doing. But any interaction was pleaaant so no complaints. The menu is pretty extensive, and I want to try many other dishes, so it looks like I'll have to go back some time. The words on the wall tells the story of how the aborigines of Taiwan used to call each other Takao, and over time that name evolved to become Dago, thus the name of the restaurant. Check out my photos!

Late with my order. They put dash orders as priority. Horrible. I ordered by phone first.
