Is stadium food expensive? Of course it is. Knowing that, though, there is still such a thing as getting your money's worth. And one of the ways you do that is to buy yourself a smoked dog topped with gobs of pulled pork, onion shreds, and a deep-fried pickle on top. Then you squirt some tangy aioli atop the whole deal. Once you get that, you can ask for some epic bacon Mac & Cheese as a side and your meal is complete. The service was excellent as the guys kept making some great suggestions that didn't have the air of the same 'ole inane chitchat. Plus, when you throw in some free bacon mac how could I think the folks working here are anything but stellar? All in all, this is a great hidden nook if you're in the mood for some great dogs with a decidedly Southern twist.

So bomb! So generous! So tasty! Worth the $18 ea splurge. Perfect with a cold beer. Advise to eat with knife and fork! LOL FYI - You aren't limited to the toppings that are listed and can completely customize. My order:The sumo dog (bacon wrapped dog + chilli + cheese sauce + furikake + any toppings) and added guacamole, fajita veggies, pico de gallo, crispy onions to the mix. The best taste!!!! My husband got a regular dog with pastrami and slew of toppings including sourkraut LOL The wait wasn't bad at all (10 minutes or so / 8 people) and service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend getting a little cardboard holder for your dog so you can cut / eat it easier!Thank you!!!!!!! FYI located in lower level across from the New Era Hat Store and can be accessed from outside courtyard too.

If you're looking for a good hot dog in Angel Stadium, don't bother going to any of the regular food stands. Crafty Dawg is definitely where you want to start. There are 3 different types of hot dogs, but the best one is the BYO-Hot Dog option for about $10.It comes with whatever toppings you want, such as various types of meat like bacon bits, beef brisket, and ham, as well as Mac and cheese, caramelized onions, and the sauerkraut. DO NOT SLEEP ON THE SAUERKRAUT. Seriously, it's delicious. Overall, this isn't going to be as amazing as the hot dogs you'll get after a night out in Los Angeles, but it's a damn good choice and I'd highly recommend coming back here for another dog again. (23/100 - 2018)

This was the worse $13(I ordered the footlong) hotdog I've ever eaten. I have tried many and trust me when I say worse. I don't do many reviews but I felt the need to warn people. I ordered a custom do with bacon, cheese, guacamole and crispy fried onions. First the wiener was burnt which normally I like but it was shriveled and completely dried out so I could tell it was old. They piled a LOT of bacon bits(real bacon ones) on it. I never thought the words "They gave me too much bacon" would ever be said but it seemed like almost as much as there was seiner by weight. So yeah. A bit too much. Then there was the cheese, or the "barely there"Cheese. The bun was dried out. Almost choked on it. And finally the crispy onions. They forgot them all together! Do yourself a favor. Order a regular hotdog from the regular Angels stadium vendor. You'll save money and it'll taste much better.

Pastrami dog is super good. The jalapenos were excellent, not the typical pickled type that you get on cheap chain restaurant nachos. The pastrami was not some cheap wonky sandwich meat, it was the good stuff, shaved thin and seasoned well. They cook toss it on the griddle before plating. So good. Pastrami, sauerkraut, jalapenos, yellow mustard. It is a knife and fork situation.

Crafty Dawgs has to be the best concession stand in the upper deck at Angel Stadium (by section 420, replacing Panda Express, and there's also a version on the lower level. A far cry from your typical stadium dog, Crafty Dawgs starts with a superior, flavorful, snappy sausage and then you can either add pre-conceived topping combos, or choose your own. You can choose to add one protein - brisket, chili, bacon, or chicken - as well as three "lighter" toppings such as mac & cheese, guacamole, shredded cheese, kimchi, sour cream, french fries, etc. If you don't want a hot dog, you can order fries topped with this same assortment of toppings. Lines can get long as they make the dogs to order.I ordered a dog topped with brisket, cheese sauce, fried onions, and pico de gallo. Very good meal and very filling. I'll definitely be back.

This sure caught my nose. Was walking around the big A trying to find something to eat, and this is what my nose led me to. It was the grilled onions. Decided to just get a regular hot dog with diced bacon with roasted jalapenos & onions, fresh jalapenos and fried onion rings, oh and nacho cheese! Kept it real simple, all for the hefty price of $9.75 plus taxes probably. It's a bit pricey for a hot dog but EVERYTHING at the sporting events are so darn expensive. But it was well worth it!

Service was great! The dogs are pretty pricey but have a lot of stuff on them and overall just different from the regular dogs at the stadium.

The quality and options were fantastic. Turned a simple hotdog into something to look forward to every time I'm back at the stadium.

Crafty Dawgs are pretty good. Just make sure you get the order right. John (I assume that's how you spell his name.) Is one of the nicest guys you can order from. And the check out lady was pretty cool as well. Next time you're in Anaheim, and want a break from Disney. Do yourself a favor, head over to the ballpark, and get yourself a Crafty Dawg!
