I was walking along Santa Ana to Irvine and at first I noticed the blacked out windows and tinted doors. I was expecting a more hooter-esque experience and much to my surprise I was treated with a very wholesome and family environment with service to match. Chicken fried steak... good crisp good gravy a little salty but overall very yummy 3.8/5Poured the over easy eggs on top to mellow it out The potatoes tasted fresh! less crisp 2.5/5 Biscuits and gravy were very tasty 3.8/5 again a little saltyOverall would come again!!

This place used to be owned by the same person who operates the wonderful Suzy's Cafe on Harbor Blvd. But this place has new owners as of a couple years ago. The Country Fried Steak and the Biscuits are not homemade. The Country Gravy is still good though. I asked for Eggs poached soft. I received whatever they happened to have cooked recently. Some medium and some hard. The potatoes are very dry. The coffee is ok but I wish it was bolder.

The staff here is really friendly and helpful. The gentleman who was helping us was cracking jokes and answering all our questions. Overall I'd say the best part of the breakfast was the staff and the potatoes. Everything else was pretty mediocre which is why I gave it a 3 star. There was nothing special about this place and that's ok. It's a solid breakfast spot that you can tell a lot of people were regulars. It reminded me of a place we used to go to a lot in Norco. Would we return here? Maybe if we were in the area. But we wouldn't drive the 20-25 minutes to get here again.

I can't believe that this is my first time here. Ever since Red Hill Cafe closed, there's not many place like these old school diners left. They were packed on a Saturday morning but it wasn't long before a table opened up. I loved that they had so many options. I also loved that they had "smaller" sized meals for someone like me, who can't eat a lot in one sitting. I'm not a huge fan of corned beef hash but my dining companion ordered it, so I had a taste. Very legit! It was not canned but freshly made corned beef. I got a basic breakfast "mini breakfast" they called it, but it had 2 eggs, 2 sausage or bacon, toast and potatoes. That's a pretty full meal for me. I also loved that when I ordered well done hash browns, they actually turned out... Crispy! Will definitely come back again. They had specials as well offering menudo -- great portion size. Lots of Mexican breakfast items on the menu!

Excellent service, everyone helps assist with the tables- teamwork makes the dream work! Fresh delicious promptly served food- great variety on the menu. Prices are comparable to most breakfast dining restaurants which makes every penny worth it! There could be a bit of a wait - great western themed wall art but facility is not huge so the earlier you get there the better! A must try place if you're in the area.

Great bfast, great service and great price. Love the huge portions and the banana bread. The location is pretty industrial. However, parking wasn't an issue when we were there at 8 AM on a Sun. It did get a little busier when we left.

Absolutely love this place for brunch! Great menu with lots of options. Pancakes were so fluffy and delicious. Super fast service and just a cool space to hang out and chat in while we ate. Definitely will be coming back!

I'm a big fan of a good old style cafe, a greasy spoon, you name it, this place way...okay. The staff obviously work hard to keep it clean, the service was good, the food was just okay. We came in at an off hour, later for lunch, and food wasn't hot, honestly the burgers tasted like they were just Costco patties with cheese. Nothing so terrible, but just okay.

John Wayne themed and a great spot for breakfast! My girlfriend and I arrived a little over an hour after they opened. There were only 3 or 4 other parties inside so we got seated immediately (we actually sat ourselves in a little booth). Shortly after, it started getting a little busier.Fickled between breakfast and lunch food, I ended up ordering the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich. My girlfriend got the Big Mini Breakfast, and we ordered a Banana Loaf to share. After placing our order it only took about 10 minutes to receive everything. How was it?- Chipotle Chicken Sandwich: Chicken breast, romaine lettuce, tomato, and avocado with chipotle mayonnaise on a French roll. It was decent sized and the chicken was good. Overall it had good flavor. For my side I had chosen fries (because I love fries). They were OK, a little more soggy than I would've liked.- Big Mini Breakfast: 2 eggs, 2 bacon, toast, and hashbrowns (her choice). She said the food was good but the potatos were a little undercooked inside.- Banana Loaf: A thick slice of banana bread (?), topped with whipped butter. Sweet, but not too sweet. Pieces of walnuts and raisins here and there. Moist and heavy. Pretty good.Service was good, multiple people checked up on our table and made sure we were doing OK.Parking wasn't bad considering it's the weekend and we got there early. I can see how it could be an issue during the week ot when it gets busy.Worth a shot!

Friendly fast service, but then you're forgotten about after you receive your meal. Sat around waiting for napkins, refills, and a to-go box. Food is good, but definitely sits for a while. I get it, you're busy, but that can't always be the standard. My son and I will come here once in a while, but wouldn't choose it every time. It has a cute cozy diner vibe, and bilingual staff make it helpful for diners to enjoy.
