I love the homely hospitality of this place. The service was excellent. I will return just for service. I always order the Country Fried Steak whenever I go to a new breakfast cafe. I have to say it's just average to me. I would still return here and order something different that goes well with their home fries, because those potatoes were crispy and delicious.

We really enjoy Country Cafe. Food is solid and service is always great - srsly, the staff HUSTLES.Our fam usually orders an egg and bacon combo with home fries and toast. Portions are generous and we sometimes ask for half bacon and half sausage since you get 4 pieces.Hubby enjoys the banana pancakes. The pancakes are ginormous - pretty much the diameter of the plate. I don't know why but the wheat toast here is amazeballs. I like toast in general, but it is so good here. Freshly made, perfectly toasty served with whipped butter and house-made strawberry jam.I'm pretty sure that this resto is one of a handful that are open and started by the same man. He then either has family run the resto once it's established or sells it to open a new place. He def has the formula for success. The menus at each location are identical. We've been to the Long Beach and Buena Park locations.Great place for a freshly made, hearty breakfast!

Cool little divey spot. Service was great and everyone was real friendly.Here's our order: Chicken fried steak w/biscuits and gravy and a Denver omelet with sourdough toast. Eggs were cooked well, I didnt read the menu correctly my omelet had no cheese my fault not theirs. Still good. Babes chicken fried steak was tasty. The biscuits and gravy were ehh not bad but definitely not my afvefave. We will definitely be back, cute spot with lots of options. They have some good looking pancake options, gonna try next time.

Country Cafe is a super cozy classic American breakfast spot. I came on Tuesday around 11am and the restaurant was nearly full. The servers are attentive and check in when they can, but they can also get super busy with other diners. We ordered:Hobo omelet 10/10: Perfectly cooked omelet and the home fries are fantastic; it's like a hash brown with sliced potatoes instead. It's a large portion and it also comes with your choice of toast!Nutella crepe, banana and strawberry 9/10: Comes with two crepes and a good amount of toppings. It hit the spot, but it would've been nice if there was filling inside the crepes as well.I understand why this is a popular local spot and it's exactly what you want for a good American breakfast!

I've been coming here for some time now, and it's been a pleasure to dine here each time. I've come mainly during breakfast, trying different entrées from the menu. Everything I've tried has been delicious and fills me up.I enjoyed the egg Benedicts and Breakfast Delights menu. My family enjoys the omelets and pancakes, especially the granola pancakes. I always have to get the home fries with any of the breakfast plates. I love the crispy and the tender pieces of the seasoned potatoes.The service and staff are friendly and attentive. They always ensure my coffee is topped off and hot and orders are prepared promptly. Dining here feels like a hometown diner, with a relaxed atmosphere and the decor and music to complement. There is also indoor and patio seating.I plan to try items from the lunch menu soon, but breakfast is my jam at this spot.

Look at that!Look how's appealing this plate! I had to sat there and pondering it for a minute or two. Magnificently looking and Epic!!The ingredients were fresh. I enjoyed finishing it and end up order another one for takeout for my din din. Much compliment to the chef or cook who prepared it.PS: the HOME FRY normally was not crispy and crunchy [darker color on fry] or has scallion on it. I did special order them.)

My sister & I met for a late lunch the day before 4th of July. Found ourselves checking out Country Cafe referred by friends. They close at 1:30pm. We arrived at 1:00 Thought they might turn us away. We were so wrong. They greeted us cheerfully and never rushed us to order or finish up. Top notch service all around. Sister ordered a 2 egg scramble accompanied by brown rice, bacon and sourdough toast. Homemade strawberry jam. Delish. I ordered machaka - half a plate full of tasty shredded beef scrambled with fluffy eggs. Plentiful. Delicious. Cottage cheese, sourdough toast and brewed coffee completed my meal. So much food. We both took half our meals home for dinner. The cafe is ultra-clean. A wall of philodendron plants look well-loved - healthy, hardy, lacy - allowed filtered light to enter the lovely cafe. Impressive. Country Cafe has been in business for eight years. I live blocks away. I can't believe this was my first visit. It won't be my last.
