Still a solid meal.During COVID, I think all of the local Cluck2Go's closed down. Happy to know that this one is around after moving locations!Located in the same center as JJ Bakery and Pizza Hut. There should be a good amount of parking available at any times.Food is same amazing quality and execution since the beginning. We always get the mixed dark/white chicken, rice, and chicken soup. Always hits the spot and delicious with the pickled veggies provided. Very much a comfort for us.

For the longest time, I've been trying to find a good Hainan chicken place so I decided to try this place out even though there were quite a few options at this food court. Overall, their Hainan chicken was good, but I wouldn't say it was the best I've had, but decent for the price. They do have a combo meal that serves 2-3 people, and that was more than enough to feed me, my wife, and son with some leftover. We probably won't go back for a while, since there are so many other places to try in this food hall but it's not a bad choice if you're looking for Hainan chicken.

Our first time trying out this Cluck2Go at this location. It's located inside a strip mall on Nogales and Colima (at the JJ Bakery parking lot). We always like to have Hainan chicken rice. Many people order to go instead of dining in because it is a small place with simple decor. The menu looked the same as the other Cluck2Go such as Pasadena. Hubby and I ordered two Singaporean-style poached chicken with chicken rice, one with dark meat, and one with dark and white meat. It is served with pickled veggies, ginger scallion sauce (1), red ginger chili sauce (1), and a hot soup. I liked my dark-meat chicken because they were very tender, juicy, and smooth. They were perfect with the ginger scallion sauce rather than the spicy red ginger chili sauce. I also added some sweet soy sauce to the chicken because they tasted a bit bland. The soup was warm & hearty. However, we did not like the rice, the fragrant rice had no flavor and was not a bit oily and it was dry. Honestly, we liked the original Hainan Chicken Rice Cluck2Go in Pasadena more than this location. Overall it was 3.5 stars (I round it up to 4 stars). We like the other Hainan Chicken Rice cuisine on Nogales in Walnut and we've had better Hainan Chicken rice.

While nothing stateside really compares to the amazing Hainanese chicken you can get in Singapore, Cluck2Go gets the job done when it comes to satisfying that craving. My go-to is the dark meat only combo that comes with their addictive chicken rice, broth, pickled veggies, and the classic 3 sauces - sweet soy, chili, and ginger scallion. I like how bouncy they get the skin on their chicken and it is ALWAYS juicy. Prices still remain reasonable as well - the combo meal is guaranteed to knock you out for that afternoon nap!

5 stars for the hainan chicken, though the soup and rice were slightly less flavorful after the location change. This Cluck2Go moved down the street into the plaza where Big Lots used to be. While the new location is a bit smaller, the interior looks more modern and bright. I also noticed more offerings on the menu, such as fried chicken and curry. If you're dining in, I think you just go straight to a table and the employee comes to you. Everyone who went straight to the register was picking up their takeout order. When I went to the register and ordered, it seemed like I was supposed to wait at my table. At the end of the meal, we went up to the register to pay.My bf and I were in awe at the single employee greeting customers, manning the register, and waiting on tables without writing anything down. This was during the dinner rush on a weeknight at 6 pm - there was a constant influx of people. When we were paying, she glanced at our table and accurately gauged how many lids we needed for our leftovers. What is this sorcery?!COMBO A REVIEWSomehow, I always end up ordering the Combo A ($26.50) which serves 2-3 people. I didn't see the sign allowing you to request white or dark meat, but I asked for all dark meat anyways and I was able to get it. - Half chicken, dark meat (1 large container). A big portion of warm, tender, and juicy hainan chicken.- Chicken Soup (16 oz - 2 small bowls). The soup was tasty, but now with a stronger ginger flavor. In terms of chicken flavor, the soup was slightly bland in comparison to the old location.- Chicken Rice (2 large bowls). The rice was also missing some of the chicken flavor that day, but the texture was perfectly chewy. It was hard to stop eating the rice after I was already full!- Spicy cucumber salad. The marinade was a little oily (always has been), but the earthy chili pepper and sichuan peppercorn tasted great. - Fried peanuts (16 oz). Fried peanuts tossed in sugar and dried chili. Say no more.- Pickled cabbage. I'm not a fan of the gingery pickled cabbage, but it tasted the same. Although I don't really use them, I think the green ginger scallion sauce and orange ginger sauces tasted the same.

Well well well, we came back for something familiar. Combo A, dark meat, extra chicken rice. In addition to the meat and chicken rice, the order came with soups, cucumber salad, peanuts, and the ginger green and orange sauce. When we came in on Sunday afternoon, the place was just over a lunch rush hour. All the tables were taken and none of the staff even acknowledged us. We waited by the front table, where the cashier area is and still, no hello, no please wait for an open table. It was just quiet from the staff. No greetings and no help with getting us situated to a table at all. I am thankful for decent humans though. There was a nice older couple who saw we were just waiting for a table and told us that they didn't mind sharing their table with us. We got our kids seated. My husband had to grabbed high chair ourselves and the kind couple helped us get our utensils and napkins. After we got situated, we had to flag down one of the staff to get our order in. It felt like other patrons in the restaurant didn't have to jump through so much hoops just to eat some chicken! Anyways, we ordered, the food came and we ate. No one checked in on us on what we needed. Basically everything is self served. I mean really, just go up and get it yourself. The dark meat chicken we got had a lot of hard cartilages that were still connected to the meat. It was a bit annoying to eat. Took one star off based on our last experience here.

This is my go-to whenever I'm craving hainan chicken rice! The price is really cheap considering that the portion is good enough to share between two people. I always order the dark meat version and the chicken is sooo juicy and tender. I normally don't really like rice but they cook their rice in chicken broth which makes it so yummy and flavorful. Each order also comes with two sauces, a small bowl of chicken broth, and a side of pickled veggies. It's a perfect week night takeout meal!

I've had the food here a few times and each time it was just not good. The food doesn't taste authentic like the ones in Singapore. To be frank, I can make it better myself at home. Previously, the chicken smelled off and was not fresh. Most recently, I had the fried chicken rice here and the next morning I and some others who ate it got a really upset stomach.I suspect that the chicken that has gone bad is used for the fried chicken...
