THEY ARE CLOSED ON MONDAYS! I love this place!! I have came here a few times with my friend to grab coffee and a bite to eat and I just love everything about this place! From the interior design and decorations, to the theme of the cafe, to the drinks and items on the menu. My absolute favorite from here is the cafe de olla. Their food is good too, but I return to this spot for the delicious drinks. Every time I have come here, the staff are always so helpful with my questions. I like to ask questions about drinks and take recommendations, and they are always accommodating and offer advice on what to order.

Fifteen bucks for two French fry tacos with a squirt of avocado and some kind of soyrizo.... mmmm... not sure how I truly feel about this so I'm giving it 3 stars. Service: girl was nice and friendly. Food came out quick, but how long can 2 French fry tacos really take???Ambiance: kind of dark, simple decor, cozy spot. Not too much space for seating- 2 two people tables arranged outside. Food: disappointment is what I felt. Menu reads papas which I thought translated into potatoes so I honestly thought I was getting two chorizo tacos with potatoes on the side...Would I eat here again- no.

Stopped by for lunch to meet up with a coworker. We both ordered different dishes, and both were spectacular! I ordered the chilaqueles and she the burrito. We also ordered the coffee horchata which paired well. Also there was easy parking either on the street or in the structure next door. Will be coming back again when I am in the area.

I stopped by Chismosa Cafe for the first time, and from the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and friendly service. My host pointed to the menu, and I decided to go with the Chilaquiles with chorizo in red sauce, along with a cup of Joe to start my morning. When the dish arrived, I'll admit I was slightly disappointed by the portion size--it was on the smaller side. The plate came with all the fixings: an egg, some avocado, a small portion of chorizo, and a side of pinto beans. Despite the size, everything was super flavorful! The chorizo had a nice kick from the spices, and overall, the meal was incredibly tasty. The coffee was robust with flavor and very enjoyable--great coffee! The cozy and welcoming atmosphere, paired with the friendly customer service, made my visit enjoyable. Just a heads-up, if you're extra hungry, I'd recommend ordering two portions of Chilaquiles to make it more filling. All in all, a great spot to grab a delicious bite--I'll definitely be back!

Had an incredible first coffee date, and the star of the show was the warm Cuban Latte. It was everything I hoped for--smooth, balanced, and just the right touch of cortadito without being too sweet. That first sip? Pure magic. It brought a sense of peace so profound, I momentarily forgot I was even on a date!Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a coffee experience that goes beyond the cup.

This was such a cute place to have brunch. My date and I had just grabbed some coffee from down the street and we're looking for a place to enjoy our drinks and have brunch. We went here as it was down the street from the coffee shop and it also had outdoor seating. To order, you must go inside and one of the servers will take your order. You can then find your seat and they will bring the food out to you. I ordered a cinnamon waffle, which had blueberries and whipped cream on top. And my date had ordered a seasonal cinnamon French toast. We both tried each other's food and we enjoyed it very much. As you can tell, we really enjoy cinnamon flavor. The cinnamon and the sweetness did get a little overwhelming.I love the ambience and feel of this restaurant. It was a little difficult finding the restroom, as it was all the way in the back. And as I was walking towards the restroom, I got lost because it seems like I was watching into the kitchen. So just to know that the restroom is all the way in the back.I would definitely recommend if you were in the downtown Covina area.

Cute place. There is two-hour parking right next to the cafe, so that was extra convenient. Been here twice, but having their Horchata latte this time was great! Definitely will come back and order it again. My friend liked their Cafe de Olla too.

Great spot for brunch!Chismosa cafe has indoor and outdoor seating, you place your order inside and they bring the food to your seat. It's a small place, but always bustling with people. I came here for a birthday brunch with my mom and we split two different meals. The birria sandwich was so good; the bread was flavorful, the meat was juicy, everything was great! I'd definitely recommend, although my only disclaimer is that despite the juiciness of the meat, the sandwich as a whole can seem a bit dry if you take a while to eat it (which i did). The salad itself was pretty standard, but the chicken in it was delicious. It's well seasoned with a flavor of its own, and I really appreciate that detail in a plate as simple as a salad. I've come here various times for their drinks and can say with complete honesty that I haven't had a bad drink from here, so try them all!

The name rings true ~ a cafe for chismosas. The vibe is fun - lots of greenery and vibrant colors worthy for a photo op. It's the kind of place you'd meet up with a girlfriend for a quick and casual meal.Fittingly, I found myself here with my sister. We shared the following:-chorizo burrito ($11): chorizo, eggs, papas, cheese-red chilaquiles ($13): fresh tortilla chips, eggs, frijoles, salsa, cotija, onion, cremaThe chorizo burrito was very tasty especially with the salsa they give you (red, green - both are excellent). While I don't love potatoes of any kind in my breakfast burritos, I somehow didn't mind them here. They were seasoned and didn't take up a ton of real estate the in the burrito. The chilaquiles were equally as good. They scramble the eggs on their chilaquiles which is a fresh take on the usual over easy situation. It made for egg distribution that much easier. Food is excellent, but drinks are even better. Did I mention there's no upcharge for oat milk? The drinks alone are worth a visit.
