the food is rlly nice. i esp like the burgers and fries. the fries are like seasoned and they're sooo good. they're salty and slightly spicy. service has always been nice. there are a lot of homeless people in the area, but they do not bother anyone.

Although this place is fast food and you order at the counter, I was impressed by the service of the two people at the counter who came out and checked on me and even placed an extra order for me to go. Food is great also.

$4.59 for French fries????!!!!! Holy sheet....If you buy a burger, you can add fries and soda for $3.99, so obviously it's waaaaaay better to buy the $3.99 add on.The lady didn't care, why didn't she simply direct the customer and inform me it's better to do the $3.99 add on????After, when I brought it up to her all she did was agree with me and didn't say sorry. No this is not whining... It's CARING ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS....

I came for a steak sandwich. I never been to a charles best so i wanted to check it out! The area is kind of sketchy, alot of weird people walking around and homeless. They don't have a self serve soda machine like most places! The steak sandwich with a lot of fatty pieces and seasoned fries were ok but i had way better. They also have a location in fullerton. Food rating:Steak Sandwich 7.8/10

The location 140 S Grand Ave, Santa Ana, CA 92701 is horrible. I waited for 40 minutes in the drive thru. The lady Diana T is so rude all the time. She takes orders rudely and just leaves the window after she takes your payment. This was a horrible experience but we love the food. This is not okay.

Came here for breakfast, ordered the huevos rancheros with side of hash browns. Food was prepared perfectly but what stood out was their friendly service and great ambiance (other than one dude who doesn't understand the value of headphones in public places - all good though, he was laughing and smiling the whole time!). Place is spotless. While eating every employee was doing something, either cooking, taking orders, organizing, or cleaning, and the place wasn't even that busy. The best part was they were kind to one another and regularly checking on their dine-in customers while they ate. Not surprisingly, every diner said "thanks" and/or "bye" to the staff before leaving. Looking for good food, value, and a great vibe to start your day? Come to Charlie's Best!
