C'est Si Bon Bakery

Arguably the best chai tea latte I have had!Between errands in the morning I decided to pop in for a quick lunch at C'est Si Bon. I was caught off guard a bit when I realized how popular the restaurant is with a line out the door! I didn't have to wait long for my food though, maybe 10min, which IMO is a win. :)I got the roast beef sandwich with provolone on baguette. The bread is SO fresh! The smallest size was more than a good serving size for lunch but I literally inhaled the whole thing. It was THAT good.And back to the chai latte of dreams!!! After receiving my drink I walked over to the sugar counter where they have an awesome house blend of spices that you can sprinkle over the top of your cup.The latte was perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. All the fragrant notes of a Chai Tea latte that you love but not overbearing or bitter at all.Can't wait to take the family next time. Dessert counter- im coming for you!

To get an accurate review of C'est Si Bon is to look at three components of the establishment: the bakery, the location, and the service. Let's start with the best part: The bakery. This is a very authentic French bakery with a huge variety of pastries and breads. Those who work in this section of the businessdo a fantastic job and in my eyes earn a A+.The service is complicated. Although the employees are friendly and well-trained, the system is at fault. To order, you must stand behind a sign and wait for someone to say, "Next?" Then you approach the front counter and order. The problem is people walk right in front of you as you approach the front and cut in line in front of you. It forces you to confront othersand say, "I was first." I had to do this with two women you rudely walked around the line, jumped in front of everyone by ignoring the line. I ordered one item for here and one to go. She gave me both items in bags. I had to wait in line to ask for a plate, then I hadto ask for a fork and knife. They ran out and had to restock the forks. I went to another spot in the restaurant for a napkin and sugar for my latte. More people, more excuse me, etc. We had to sit outside at a dirty table, for I had to wipe it down andremove some clothing someone had left there. It was a huge ordeal to find a place to sit and enjoy such great pastries. Service gets a C-It is a large place inside, but no chairs and no table inside. There is only a counter with stools. This makes it impossible for a handicapped person to sit in a chair inside the bakery. If yougo outside, you must clean your own tables. I noticed that there were no handicapped access ramps or parking anywhere around the bakery. You must walk from the business to the right around the corner. I'm not sure if that is legal but the owner said it is. The bathrooms are outside. I waited with someone else for the key to be returned. We waited and waited. I mentioned it to the employees that wehad been waiting a long time, and I pounded on the door,and there was no answer. I resolved to use the women's restroom. The location for me was an F. My suggestion is to visit Moulin and see how to create a patron friendly location to make the whole experience a better one. Create a nicerenvironment to enjoy such a great place.

Food - had a delicious tuna sandwich.Love that it is build your own. A great addition to the options would be some spice like banana peppers & pepperoncinis Service was excellent Ambiance- cute

Great spot to get a yummy sandwich on a fresh baguette. I got the roast beef sandwich. It was my first time there so when you get to the counter the write your order on a bag and they circle the choices you make. Pretty clever, I liked that. We also ordered two sugar cookies and a carrot cake slice and it was a hit. I think the 6 inch is perfect, I have been full all day! Place was packed and parking is a bit busy, but it was worth it. I definitely would recommend!

I visited this bakery yesterday. The bakery is in a nice location in Newport Beach. The exterior of the building is nice The bakery closes at 4:30. We arrived late and realized there was hardly any pastries left. The chocolate croissant we ordered tasted excellent. The iced latte was good as well. However, I was dissapointed that this bakery is not handicapped friendly. There is not any handicapped parking in front of the bakery. In addition, there is not a ramp in front of the bakery for easy access. There is also no low level chairs inside the bakery, only stools. If you walk with a cane, you have to site outside.

I went today to C'est Si Bon Bakery around 1 pm. I bought the heart shaped Valentines cookies, carrot cake, chocolate and cream cake, and apple tart. Very cool location with the all the brick buildings. However, the baked goods were just average. The attention to detail was missing and the taste was just meh. 3 stars out of 5.

Great bakery! Service was fast and helpful as well. But most importantly, the food. The pumpkin pie was not overly sweet and you really get to enjoy the pumpkin flavor with the right amount of sugar to enhance all the spices.Apple Almond tart very light and flaky. Not super dense like most others I've tried.The BEST item by far is the baguette! Crispy crust with a light airy center. The best French baguette I've ever had and I will definitely be back for more. If you go, DO NOT get just one. You'll regret not getting two!Enjoy!

I love a good bakery/coffee shop combo. The pastries here are delicious and fresh. I got the cinnamon twist, which is one of their most popular and it was great. They are known for their chai tea latte - which is made from their powder in house and you can choose to add a shot of espresso for that extra caffeine. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, the outdoor area is really nice on a warm day. The service was quick and fast as well.

I really enjoyed the chocolate croissant and the cappuccino I got. However, it's pretty confusing when you walk in. You barely step inside and someone is available to help. However how the cash register and the menu are set up are confusing and also I wanted to look at the pastries to the right before I order so I felt flustered and confused to be honest. The lady who took our order was nice and helpful. It was also confusing after, like where do I stand? Will I hear my order?! There's bunch of people waiting as well. I wish they had a better system but other than that the coffee and the pastry I tried were very good. I would love to come back and try a sandwich or something for sure.

Coffee is good, but service is untrained. Placed an order for drip coffee, paid and waited for my order to be announced. As I watched every member of my party get their orders, as did customer after me, I went to barista whom informed me that there was no more drip coffee. Frustrated I went back to the cash whom suggested that they could switch to an espresso based coffee. I did this. Waited as more customers are served, waited some more. Frustrated again went back to the cash and asked why my order had not been prioritized or simply why he did not voluntarily seek me out for a change of orders (seated directly in front of the cash) instead of apologizing and instead of prioritizing my order, he tells me that I have a "nice attitude". I asked for a refund of my coffee and of my tip. Shop is cute, coffee (my wife and kids) was good. But staff is in desperate need of training, shame as I am in Newport a lot and really like a good coffee. Visited the shop on 02/22/2025
