What a hidden gem of a restaurant, hidden in an older strip mall, nestled between vacant and occupied businesses. I have driven by this area numerous times and never knew this restraint was here. Upon entering, I was very impressed with the decor and the vibe of the restaurant. Upbeat Latin music was playing via the overhead speakers and the restaurant was very clean, well organized and inviting. I was also impressed with how quickly I was welcomed in by two employees. Took all of four seconds upon entering. Once seated, drink orders were immediately taken by our waiter, and menus were also handed to us at this time. Every single item on the menu sounded delicious, l and fresh. Our food orders were taken in a timely manner and our food was delivered to our table shortly thereafter. GREAT service! The very appealing food was as I expected, DELICIOUS!!! We had the green chilaquiles and the veggie skillet and both items were AMAZING!! Fresh and sooo tasty. Did I mention that service was AWESOME!! Very attentive waiters and waitresses, THANK YOU!! This restaurant is open daily from 8am-3pm ONLY! This place DOES get very crowded DAILY according to our waiter and one other customer with wait times as long as one and half hours. This is a sign of a very good and popular restaurant. This is definitely a very nice restaurant and this was a very positive dining experience.

Do you have a sweet tooth? If so, you absolutely need to visit Caramelo Cafe! Indulge in their delightful café de la olla, paired perfectly with French toast, crepes, or perhaps some chilaquiles. The menu is rich with options that are sure to satisfy any craving. As a Mexican, my love for authentic Mexican food is deeply rooted in my childhood memories, and Caramelo Cafe truly brings those flavors to life. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is incredibly friendly, speaking both English and Spanish to ensure everyone feels at home. Don't hesitate--stop by and treat yourself to a delicious experience that will make you feel nostalgic!

I came here with my young son for weekend brunch. I love the darker interior bar side vibe with the bachata music playing. We were seated very quickly (I did waitlist ahead on the drive over after seeing their other location in Covina with a much longer wait time) and my food arrived very quickly after ordering. I commend our waitress who recognized dining with a toddler can be challenging so she ensured food arrived quickly and gave us a small table upon arrival.I had the Nutella crepe breakfast combo. It was delicious and I love the whole Ferrero chocolates toppings. Plenty of food. The fresh squeezed orange juice is my son's favorite. This will be a regular mom and son bonding spot. The hot chocolate is served beautifully for dine it, but runs a bit too sweet for my palette. Drinks are definitely more pricey compared to their food. But I view lovely drinks as a treat so YOLO.

Good quick service, also very welcoming. The food came out quick and was delicious. If you're ordering the chilaquiles know they pack a little kick (both the green and red). Not a complaint, we enjoyed it! The waffles are pretty solid as well they come with berries and butter! The cafe de olla was good but not the best I've had. I'm not sure if I got coffee at the bottom of the pot? We did go an hour before closing and my coffee was a little grainy. They do give you a lot which I appreciate. While we were eating they began to close down the restaurant in sections and it takes away from the ambiance and can make customers feel rushed. Outside of that, which I can definitely overlook, I would stop by again.Food: 4/5Service: 4/5Ambiance: 4/5

Yesterday was our first time visit to this breakfast place, we were served by the sweetest waitress, her name was Clarissa. From the moment we told her it was our first time visiting, she gave us her recommendations on the most popular drinks and dishes there. We loved the food and were really happy with her service. Of course, we told her we would be back very soon :)

This is still, after all these years, a lot breakfast/brunch spot in La Puente. The food is really good and the staff is very friendly. We first started coming to this place when it was a hole in the wall and now it has expanded with a second location open. The food is fresh and tasty. The menu has expanded a bit as well over the years and now includes drinks. Will continue to visit for years to come.

Was hesitant to go reading all the reviews talking about the service but again wanted to try it and give them a chance and see that's up. We came early they do open at 8am. When we got in no one really greeted us so basically we just picked a table our selves. We are the first customer of the day and literally just us. Serves walk next to our table twice did not say anything. Finally after 14 mins server came to our table and asking for drinks. Ordered hot chocolate and just ask for water and specifically told her we are ready to order to and she ignored me saying we need to wait she will come back . She left and made the hot chocolate and drop it to our table and again did not take our order she said she will come back to get something. Again there is no one in the restaurant just us. She came back after a few minutes to take our order. 15 mins after the food came out we ordered El Tri and omelet looks really good until we started eating. The meat is really cold don't know if it came out from the fridge potatoes are cold as well the only thing fresh tasting is the fried eggs well being here first time really disappointing times like this you may not want to come back. We were down a long time I needed to get up and look for them to get the bill not even busy like I said probably 2 tables including us . The place and ambience is really good though lots of parking not coming back though .

This review is solely based off their lack of service or shall I say no service. I was so excited to try this place but after being seated that excitement quickly vanished. I traveled almost 45 minutes to this spot and planned my day around it. Wished I could give this place a 0 stars. We didn't even get to order..We arrived this past Saturday around 12:25pm luckily it was at the end of a brunch rush and almost half the restaurant was empty. We were seated within 10 minutes for a party of 2. Only person that spoke to us was the host that guided us to our table, second table from the entrance. First table right by the entrance probably sat 5 minutes before us. Another staff brought a water jug and glasses but didn't say anything. We saw a QR code on the table and figured that was their online menu to view. About 5 minutes has passed we started to look around at servers that kept walking by to either take orders or bring food. First table by the entrance already got their drinks, we asked them how the service in this restaurant is. Guest told us "uhhh, you kinda of have to wave them down? There's no service here at all, it sucks. They will walk by you and not say anything." They definitely didn't have to flag a server down themselves. I frequent Asian restaurants and they are notorious for lack of service and rude staff. This felt different. We felt out casted.. I've never experienced something like this dining out.We continued browsing the mobile menu for another 10 minutes trying to decide what to eat. Quickly saw physical menus by the host area and got up to grab them ourselves. By this time we had been seated for 18 minutes, no server came by to check on us. Restaurant set up is pretty hard to miss a table that you "forgot" to greet with a guest actively looking around directly at servers. We decided to leave due to lack of services, as we were getting up dishes for the first table by the entrance came out.. No one said anything when we got up either.

I liked:Belgian Waffles w/ Banana & Nutella Texas Skillet This was ok:Country Crepe Brunch #goodeats! I appreciate that the portions are pretty big, especially the waffles. Everything here is good but not blind blowing. Next time I'd try a sweet crepe instead of a savory one. I don't think the crepe really did anything for the ham, eggs, and spinach. It was actually quite plain and could have used more seasoning. Service was definitely a bit slow but they have a lot of tables and it's definitely busy here. Even so, I would have appreciated if the staff checked up on us more, especially when the lunch rush was over and our waters were clearly empty.Inside is pretty standard, the tables were a little too close for my liking as I could hear conversations pretty clearly and I understood that my conversation wasn't private. If you're at a table for two, you'll only be able to fit 3 entrees on there as well as two sharing plates. Not too cramped but not ideal.
