Korean style soft tofu, tastier than the soft tofu you eat in Korea. The free side dishes are delicious and very clean. I've been to many soft tofu restaurants, but... If you know of a better Sundubu restaurant in the OC area than this one, please let me know! The price is cheap, so it's easy to open your wallet. This is a restaurant I always want to go to.

Amazing Korean Soft Tofu Soup. First time trying this Tofu house.Love it and great place for Brunch or Dinner! I ordered the BBQ beef ribs and tofu wonton soup combination plate. Each bite was an explosion of new flavors and all of them pleasing. The BBQ beef ribs were seasoned perfectly and complimented everything. Everything was excellent and enjoyable.Service always prompt and the space was clean.Plenty of Food, leaving really full!I will be visiting soon!

This is one of our favorite Korean spots! Located in a shopping center with plenty of parking. We recently visited on a Friday night and were seated right away. The seafood pancake is a must-try--crispy, dense, and served on a hot cast iron plate. The soon tofu soups are all excellent, but the wild sesame version has become our new favorite. It's surprisingly flavorful for a vegetarian option. The BBQ short ribs are also another item that we always order. We typically share a dinner combo, which includes soup and BBQ, and the seafood pancake as an appetizer. It's the perfect amount of food for two with some leftovers to take home. The banchan is always varied and fresh, though you may need to ask for refills. I would recommend over BCD.Service is fast and attentive, with regular water refills, but the banchan could use a little more attention. All in all, it never disappoints, and we'll keep coming back for more!

I've been fortunate that my two experiences dining here have been good. Food was good and service was somewhat attentive. We never felt that the servers were unfriendly or hostile, just very busy taking care of the other tables. Knocked off one star because when we came with a large party and we were lucky that they were enough tables to seat all of us at once, although we placed our orders at the same time, only half of the table got their food first, while the other half did not get their food until 20+ minutes later. It also took a while to flag down the servers to get our check so we could pay the bill and head back to work afterwards. Despite that, we'll still return but plan to come a little earlier to beat the lunch rush the next time.I recommend their pork soondubu or their beef and octopus soondubu. If you're feeling hungry and indecisive, they do have meat combos with soondubu or you can the combo that comes with a small soondubu and a hot stone bibimbap.

California Tofu Grill is a go to choice for my family. The portion size is large and the soon is always filling. My family always gets a mild or medium soon. Our favorites are original beef, mushroom, mandoo and assorted. We usually order takeout through a phone order. Service is always fast once the order is placed (15-20 mins) for an order of usually around 6-8 soon tofus. The banchan changes from day to day so you don't know what you'll get. When I do a takeout for at least 5-6 soon tofus, the restaurants will always provide two large takeout containers of banchan and additional kimchi in the side.

Not sure where all these negative reviews are coming from, but it's very disheartening to see that people are claiming BCD is better than this place I've been coming here since the old management team was running the place and I continue my patronage to California Tofu Grill as they have switched over management teams. The food is amazing, and nothing has changed from the first day I went up til now. The soups are fresh, made with tons of care, and flavorful! There's such a wide array of options to eat that everyone is bound to find something in your group. The banchan side dishes are rotating seasonally based off what I have noticed, and it gives it a fresh take and always makes us curious to know what will be offered the next time we're there.Staff has been nothing but kind, they're always on their feet looking for the best ways to better serve the customers. The responses are quick and the ladies working on the floor are efficient and some of the sweetest people I have encountered. The interior is clean, there's plenty of space to be with family and friends, and the bathrooms are well kept.Overall, I am loyal to California Tofu Grill and am sad to hear that some folks don't have that same sentiment. Make time to swing by if you're looking for some authentic Korean Tofu Soup!

I recently stopped by California Tofu Grill and ordered the cold noodle and galbi combo, and I was super impressed! The cold noodles were exactly what I needed--refreshing, with just the right amount of chew, and the broth was perfectly tangy and savory. It had a great balance of flavors, making it a standout dish, especially on a hot day.The galbi was fantastic too--grilled to perfection, with that delicious char that really brings out the flavor of the meat. It was tender, juicy, and seasoned just right. The portion size was pretty generous, which is always a plus when it comes to Korean BBQ. I felt like I was getting a really great value for my meal.On top of that, the banchan (side dishes) were fresh and plentiful, adding a nice variety to the meal. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed, and the overall vibe of the restaurant was laid-back and comfortable. While it's a casual spot, the quality of the food was top-notch, and I left feeling fully satisfied. I'll definitely be coming back to try more dishes from their menu. If you're in the mood for some great Korean food, I highly recommend checking out California Tofu Grill!

The service is a hit or miss depending on the day but I always leave California Tofu Grill happily satisfied with my meal. I always get the Galbi and Soondoobu Combo and although the portion size is ridiculous (so little galbi for so much $$$) it always is perfectly seasoned and cooked and goes well with the spicy tofu. We tried out the 떡갈비 combo and were pleasantly surprised with that as well. Side dishes change but you can always count on getting a perfectly lightly fried fish to start. All in all, one of my favorite Korean tofu places to eat!

Tasty spot in Fullerton. Clean with a good amount of seating. The parking lot is big, so no problems there. They're usually pretty busy, so it gets a little hard to get a hold of a staff member if you need anything. The food is great and prices are pretty competitive. The seafood pancake and pork bulgogi are solid choices here.

You know tofu houses are good when you see lots of korean grandmas and grandpas so i knew this place was going to be good. Prices are super reasonable considering the array of banchan they give you (they gave fried fish and pancake too!). I always do the build your own tofu soup for around $16. I don't know what it is but the dumplings here are so yummy. The galbi here is also very flavorful and the combo is a steal. There aren't too many good tofu soup places in fullerton so I'm glad I found this place. Service is fast and the waitresses are always attentive and fill up on banchan quickly. There is plenty of seating so the wait isn't usually too long but it does get very busy during peak hours. There is no online waitlist so be prepared to wait in person.
