California Gogi in Irvine is hands down one of the best spots to get a flavorful, customizable meal. I went for the chicken bulgogi stacked bowl, and every bite was a hit!The chicken bulgogi was tender and perfectly seasoned with that classic sweet and savory flavor. What really sets this meal apart is the six sides you get to choose--talk about variety! I went with corn, potato salad, spicy cucumber, broccoli, edamame, and coleslaw. Each side brought its own vibe to the bowl: the corn was sweet, the potato salad was creamy and indulgent, and the spicy cucumber added a nice tangy kick. The broccoli and edamame balanced things out, while the coleslaw? Absolute comfort food heaven. And the siracha aioli sauce drizzled over everything? Just the right amount of heat to tie it all together. This bowl was filling and flavorful from start to finish.The atmosphere at California Gogi is clean, modern, and inviting. The space is bright with lots of natural light and minimalist decor, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy your meal. Whether you're dining solo or with a group, the space feels open and comfortable, perfect for a casual meal.Service here was spot-on. Even though it was during the busy lunch rush, the staff was friendly, efficient, and got my order out quickly. They were attentive, making sure everything was to my liking without being intrusive. It's clear that customer service is a priority here, which made the experience even better.California Gogi is definitely a five-star spot if you're looking for great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and excellent service. The chicken bulgogi stacked bowl, with all those amazing sides and the siracha aioli, is a must-try. I'll definitely be back for more!

The food is decent - the bulgogi was decently flavorful and tender. The KFC style one was literally all breading - not a single piece of protein to be had.The line moved pretty quickly on a Tuesday night during UCI's first semester.Nothing special about the ambiance - just another food place with minimal decoration.Would I go there again? Probably not since there are better options in that center. Would I go again if a friend insisted? Sure

Seems like there's new management. Not sure what changed in the spicy pork, but the flavoring is a little bit different, the sauce seems a bit thicker, and it tastes more bland now.One major complaint is that I got a stacked bowl and they put a huge amount of rice and minimal noodles. I asked them to remove about half of the rice in exchange for noodles, and that triggered an up charge of $1.50. These noodles aren't significantly more expensive, so that's rather obnoxious by management. I've been coming here for years and will not be returning.

The shop is located in the University Town Center, with hip college hub vibes. The food is actually pretty good for the price. My favorite thing to get is the KFC. It's sweet and yummy, but the strips are kinda thin. I wish that they were chunks instead. I really like the japchae too. They have a nice texture and go well with the meat. The most fun part is the side dishes you get to pick for the top! They have lots of options like macaroni, potato salad, and pickled veggies. I like to pick sides that make my bowl colorful. The service was fine.

Great food, great service, great staff, I love this spot. Best in town in my opinion.

People love this place. I think I just ordered the wrong thing. I ordered the K-Pop with KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) the KFC was delicious but melted cheese over white rice and kimchi is not my jam. Spencer ordered the stacked bowl and loved it. The place was pretty busy but they crank out those bowls quickly. Its like a Korean Chipotle.

Decent spot. It's a bit on the expensive side for what it is in my opinion but it's a great option for a quick yet filling lunch near the university

not sure why this place is rated so low, but I thought it was pretty good! conveniently located in the UTC, I say this is a good spot to grab a quick lunch/dinner to go.'stacked bowl': you get two meat options, I chose bulgogi and korean fried chicken. I really liked the marinade on both, the bulgogi was slightly sweet and savory, while the kfc was sweet and tangy. I thoroughly enjoyed them both equally! you also to get to choose 6 sides, my favorites were the kimchi and potato salad. all the sides though were very flavorful! the ordering concept was simple and sorta reminds me of chipotle! everything was overall really flavorful and really filling!

I do like this place a lot. Pretty economical. Love to get their stacked bowl with 6 sides and 2 proteins. Their KFC and bulge go are good. When you're hungry for something like this and don't want to pay too much, it really hits the spot.

The food was so good . Also the workers are sooooo nice.The ambiance is really good.If you like Kpop, they also play Kpop music which you can listen to while you are eating.
