Cali Tacos

Angel burrito 8.5/10: From the meat, to the shrimp, to the guac you can't go wrong with anything included in this burrito. The burrito is also the size of my forearm. If youre looking for a breakfast, lunch and dinner item. This one burrito fits all 3 categories as one will keep you full all day. I went with the asada today, but I typically like the adobado (pork) better due to more juices and flavors. The Cali sauce is a must, you can never have enough. If you're not looking for a burrito, their fish tacos are also gigantic full of flavor. Bang for your buck Forsure!

I was really hoping to enjoy this place, my son had given it great reviews. We were in the area and dropped in on a Friday night. It was busy but we walked right up to the counter. He ordered a cali burrito w/ adobada. First bummer, they sell rolled taquitos, but you can only get shredded beef, even though they have chicken on the menu. So I decided to get a chicken quesadilla, I figured what could go wrong, that seems pretty safe. It took a while to get our order, there were a couple of customers that came in after us that got their order before us. Eventually, our number was called....The portion sizes are big, the cali burrito was good, 7/10. My dissapointment was with the chicken quesadilla. Although large, it was overloaded with chicken to the point where it was inedible. It overwhelmed the cheese. I tried to take out some of the chicken, but it was just too much. After taking just one bite, I brought this to the attention of the male staff member at the register, and asked if I could just get a plain quesadilla. A female staff member approached my table, and to my surprise she brought back the same chicken quesadilla I had just returned to the counter. She asked what was wrong with it, I said the flavor was good, but I just couldn't eat it because it has too much chicken (I couldn't believe my own ears saying this, but please see the photos). I was being careful not to offend them, however, I could tell by this point it was an issue. I said just forget it, I can take this home. I'm good. She proceeded to leave with my receipt and eventually returned telling me the manager said they cannot make a new quesadilla, and that next time I need to ask for light chicken. I responded by saying it was my first time there, and again said, it's fine, we will take the chicken quesadilla home, my son will eat it. I was over it. We packed up and left. I'm giving this place a 1-star not because of their limited customization, service timing, but because of the manager response. Their solution that I needed to speak up next time and ask for a modification implies that it was my fault. There was no flexibility or interest in trying to retain a customer over the cost of a tortilla and some cheese. I wasn't asking for a refund, I just wanted a quesadilla (LOL). It became an issue, when it could've been a quick fix. We will not be returning at any point in the future. Aside from Cali Taco, I don't know any establishment that won't offer a refund or an alternative if the customer is not satisfied with their meal. It's just a good practice. Huge disappointment. (Also, I understood by the end of my visit why they don't offer chicken taquitos, they serve it all in their chicken quesadillas.)

We have been coming to this location since it opened. Right off 17th street with plenty of parking.The staff is friendly and makes you feel welcome. The menu is extensive with taco, burrito, fries and sides options. There's also a simple salsa bar with a red (hot), green (mild) and pickled carrots & jalapeños. We always get the carne asada Cali burrito (loaded with carne asada, fries, cheese and sour cream). We share it bc it's humongous. The rolled tacos are phenomenal. Crispy (not greasy) and covered in shredded cheese and guacamole. It's definitely my favorite!Definitely recommend, will return! Great customer service, consistent great food and fairly priced.

I usually love Cali Taco, but not today. I was REALLY DISAPPOINTED. I ordered the Angel Burrito, which is supposed to come with shrimp, but guess what? It HAD NONE! I don't get it--I paid for shrimp, so where was it?On top of that, you have to pay an extra fee for carne asada? Seriously? And to make things worse, they were out of carrots and jalapeños, which are usually so good here.Honestly, I'm not sure when I'll be back.

Cali tacos never fails! I always get the Cali burrito with asada and extra Cali sauce on the side. It can get busy but the line moves consistently and food comes out pretty quickly. Nothing too long. If you're unsure of what to get the staff is very friendly in helping you decide. 2-4 bites and your stuffed! Leftovers for days. There is an outside seating area which is much bigger than the inside. They have agua Fresca, Jamaica and horchata!

Stopped by before heading to Disneyland and wanted something heavy to get me through the long day. I ordered at the front right when you walk in. the lady took my order and gave a receipt with our number to be called out later, to pick up our food. The salsa bar is right near the register two kinds green and red, the green one was a bit spicer but both so bomb! The portion cups do come with a lid so you can prep all that while waiting for your food.I got the Cali carne asada burrito( fries, cheese, carne asada, & creme) and they gave the "Cali sauce" on the side, taste kinda like tarter sauce/thousand island?) . (they don't have a kids menus) so I ordered cheese quesadilla and French fries for my little one. the portions are sooo huge! Very much worth paying ~$15. I was able to eat half and feel full and satisfied. I felt like the burrito by itself without anything was missing something ( I'm comparing it to sd cali burritos.) I guess that's why they gave their sauce on the side instead inside the burrito. The meat wasn't too dry and the salsa with sauce tied the overall taste together. It's probably best to share with someone when it comes to the burrito or it makes an awesome leftover HahaThe restaurant was very spacious, seats were spread out and they had a cute tacos angel wing on a wall. Restroom is in the back and they do have high chairs for the kiddos.Overall, huge portions and worth what you're paying for. Next time I want to try the tacos, those looked good.

Yummy yummy,, my bf and my go-to spot for burritos in OC and cali tacos has never failed. We always like getting the angel burrito bc of how huge and packed it is (the picture doesn't do its size justice). Super yummy and filling and seasoned well! Cali fries were also good, really heavy but loaded and deliciousssWould def recommend!

Continues to be the best breakfast burritos around! One is big enough for two people or two meals!I love the bacon and potato burrito best. Includes eggs and cheese side salsa is great - both red and green! Service is friendly (they need a tip jar!)Dining area is simple but always clean.

TLDR: I'm glad that I can add another burrito spot on my list. There's a bunch of stuff in the menu that I'm excited to try in the future. Cali Burrito: It's one of the better chicken burritos that I've had. The protein was tender, juicy, and completed the ensemble that was designed to be paired with carne asada. I know the beef will probably taste better, but people who are looking to cut down on red meat will have this as a solid alternative Service: I called to order 10 minutes before arriving and my burrito was ready when I got there. Quick and easy. Ambiance. It's an honest looking Mexican taco place. That's the best way I can describe it.

Only the highest of praise for this place. Huge burritos. You won't finish it. If you are a massive eater, I dare you to try the Angel. Pink sauce is delicious so is their others. This will have you stuffed and food coma and in awe of life. As usual, got this with the usual boys.
