Cafe Zocalo

2 days after Christmas is probably not the best time to have lunch in Orange after visiting the Hilbert Museum, but Cafe Zocalo was a great choice!We had chips and salsa, chicken tacos, and a birria quesadilla. Chips were sizzling hot, and the salsa is amazing. I would go back just for the salsa. The chicken tacos were good, and the birria quesadilla was terrific. Service was good, despite the poor server being absolutely swamped. She earned her tips today! The table in the back had what I guess was their 20" mimosa, with a veritable octopus of straws coming out of it. Very festive, and they certainly seemed to enjoy it.Definitely recommend, will go back.

I was so excited to try this new place that I have passed by a couple of times specially because I've noticed that they serve Chilaquiles just to find out that I was gonna be so disappointed with their service .My son had asked for eggs with mini pancakes served with Nutella. Once the server brought the plate 1. it was cold . 2. They didn't bring the Nutella so I had to get up and go ask for the nutella once I asked the server his response was you were supposed to ask for it . I wasn't gonna argue so I just told him if he can just bring me Nutella . 3. They did not even came to check up on us not even once . I would've understand if they were super busy, but they had two tables and it seems like all the employees were just behind the counter talking to each other and just cleaningDefinitely will not be coming here again

Maybe we just ordered wrong. Everything was "fine" but nothing special. I ordered the chicken spinach sandwich. I really like bell peppers, so was looking forward to them. But there were none on my sandwich.My husband's club sandwich was also fairly uneventful.The table next to us (ordered a burrito and something else) were raving about their food.. so I'm a little confused. Like I said - maybe we just picked flavorless dishes? I really like to support local businesses, but unfortunately there isn't anything calling me back. 2024: 54/100

Parking will be hard since it's downtown Orange, but the place is relatively big and staff is super friendly and accommodating. Cute decor and neon lights . Huge Mimosa was $45 and very worth it, they used good champagne and it didn't taste premixed. They only had 2 cups available though, so some of us had to get regular champagne bottle. Food was meh. Breakfast burrito was mostly bland potatoes. Mini pancakes and waffles were the best here! Simple yet homey and syrup makes everything better

Delicious, tastes like authentic home made mexican breakfast. Dish was very filling and great service.

I love this place! Food is amazing! Services is amazing and the mimosas are super yummy! The restaurant is beautiful!

This place is great for a big group. We all ordered separately and ordered the giant mimosa. I ordered the strawberry waffles. They were delicious and complimented the mimosa really well. The mimosa was well portioned and for a big group, it was almost hard to finish. Overall, my meal and mimosa tasted delicious and I can't wait to come back soon.

Cafe Zocalo is a very cute spot located in the Orange Circle. Since I got my hair done right around the corner, my better half and sweet child decided to meet me somewhere close. I took one look at Yelp and this was the place.We were lucky to get a beautiful booth inside on a fairly warm day. We ordered a Chilaquila breakfast burrito which was a breakfast burrito filled with Chilaquiles. We also ordered the 25 mini pancakes which were 25 little pancakes about the size of the quarter paired with strawberries in condensed milk with Nutella. Yelp check-in gets you a free Iced Horchata Latte and I can see what the hype is about. Their horchata is so delicious...a bit too rich for me and my stomach was rebelling but I did love it when I had it.The service was great and at no time did we ever really need anything as the staff were quite attentive. We'll be back and I'd love to try a sandwich or maybe just get the chilaquiles by themselves...the green salsa was so good it did not need to be wrapped in a tortilla.

Right in the orange circle is this gem where you can get a margarita larger than your head. Phenomenal. food was alright but you kind of forget everything else once you start sipping on this bad boy

The food was delicious! I got the chilaquiles with green salsa and added carne asada. My boyfriend ordered the chilaquiles burrito, he also enjoyed it! The portion was enough for me to have leftovers and enough to fill my boyfriend up. The service was great! The whole staff was very nice and attentive! We were seated upstairs, the ambiance was very nice. Loved their music playlist as well! Definitely going back
