"There are so many better Taiwanese places in the area than Kingchops. We've been here a few times, and I keep hoping it will get better, but it doesn't.The service is non-existent, and you have to do everything yourself. You order via their app and pay via the app, and all they do is bring the food out. And they're always in a rush! It's never really that busy. Plus, the music is super loud here; I don't know why that's necessary. The food leaves much to be desired, as they use the same vegetables for different dishes. For instance, "seasonal vegetables" are just napa cabbage and have always been napa cabbage. Why even say seasonal vegetables? It's so misleading. The popcorn chicken is a decent dish, but it is pretty heavy and does not have flavor. Avoid the beef curry at all costs; the beef is not edible. Bamboo shoots are okay but come with a lot of liquid. I found it overall disappointing and with bad service, it's a hard pass."
"Tucked away in West Covina, Canaan Chinese Cuisine is a hidden gem that impressed me in every way. This restaurant offers delicious and authentic Chinese cuisine, perfect for a casual meal or a special occasion.A friend and I attended a baptismal party here. As soon as we arrived, we were directed to a private room where we enjoyed the celebration in the company of family and friends. After all the guests had arrived, we were served immediately with a wide array of authentic Chinese food. We started with a bowl of egg soup then feasted on shrimp, beef, tofu, beans, eggplant, and a lot more. Food was really good! The staff at Canaan was friendly, attentive, and made sure our dining experience was top-notch."

"Lunch specials are just the right amount to not have extra leftovers. Dine in includes a side of soup and steamed rice. Not available for takeout orders.I wanted lobster Yee mein but the tank was empty when I arrived.Got a few items that are uncommon for our family but completely delicious:Scrambled egg with shrimp - I love this simple combo and how the egg comes out soft scramble with very tender peeled shrimp.Seafood and tofu in clay pot has a bottom layer of clear noodles and vegetables (mostly Napa cabbage) - the tofu soaks up all the flavor and is equally delicious. Shrimp, squid and scallop in the mix.Our server suggested the milk tea with boba - I try to not consume too much of this type of drinks because they can be sugar bombs, their version is not overly sweet. We tend to order a lot of food because of dietary reasons. So I requested to be moved to a larger table. The staff was very accommodating, cleaning up the previously used table and moving us immediately. I am always impressed by how quickly delicious food comes out from what seems to be a smallish kitchen.Lunch specials are billed as served only till 250 pm, probably to avoid the 3 pm lunch stragglers. Check the front door for the hours, one weekday (Tuesday?) they are closed for an hour or two right after lunch service."
"Good lunch location. Service was great and the food was delicious. This was the hot pot lunch special and was very reasonable price!"
"Luxweet Bakery Cafe in Tustin, CA, is a wonderful spot for families, especially with kids, though they don't have a specific kids' menu. It's known for serving delicious Taiwanese breakfast dishes, such as egg pancakes, BBQ pork pancakes, and even panna cotta. If you're in the mood for a refreshing drink, they offer a variety of boba and milk tea options too.The sandwiches here come highly recommended, they're satisfying, flavorful, and the portions are generous, making them perfect for a full meal. The customer service is exceptional; the staff is not only friendly but also very helpful, always ready to assist with any questions or recommendations. In addition to the food, they offer an impressive selection of teas, with fresh brews that really highlight the quality and care put into each cup. One of the standout items is their egg pancake, which has a light, delicate texture that differs from the more typical American-style pancakes. It's a great place to enjoy a light, flavorful meal in a cozy, welcoming atmosphere."
"My "New" best friend restaurant lol. I've never tried Taiwanese foods, because I thought I would miss my tortillas but WOW was I wrong their food is freshly made & the veggies were organic tasting the spices were such a paladar delight! Service was attentive & friendly!"
"You guys during the summer I was so thirsty and I came in here and I got to kumquat slushie. Oh my lord I have to tell you it's tart but very tasty. It puts a lemonade to shame. Today I'm coming in and getting beef noodle soup tomato beef noodle soup. The place is really really small but it's a excellent business and it's been around for quite a long time They specialize in Taiwanese dishes. There's a bathroom and AC/DC all in one. A big beautiful fish tank. And very pleasant staff always greet you and very happy to serve. The prices are very reasonable compared to other places. I know there's not a whole lot of parking It has to be shared with other businesses nearby. But believe me it's worth it. Bon appetit"
"We decided to visit this restaurant today to celebrate my wife's birthday. We were here about six months ago. We loved the food and the service. Today was no exception. Monica was delightful and very attentive. We tried the mushroom and bamboo shoots lunch entree and the beef, chicken, and shrimp dish. They were both delicious. We live in Orange County but the drive was worthwhile to M's Kitchen. You won't be disappointed."

Canaan Chinese Cuisine (West Covina) is King. It's the undisputed best Chinese food in its vicinity. The Kung Pao Chicken and Fish Filet w/ Black Bean Sauce explode with flavor. The Peking Duck is plump; the Seafood Pan Fried Noodles is comforting; and the steamed white rice is firm and fresh.I ordered to-go this Lunar New Year (Wednesday, 11:30AM). I waited 29 minutes and 29 seconds for the five dish order. Entering Canaan Chinese Cuisine, the staff is professional and cordial. The location is packed with smiling customers. Canaan Chinese Cuisine (West Covina) shares the plaza with the 85 degrees; parking is busy, difficult-at-times, but accessible.Concerning ambiance, Canaan Chinese Cuisine is filled with customer chatter. The music is barely audible. The location is also very clean and well-ventilated. Staff moves smoothly with purpose. If I had to nitpick, the to-go food is packed tightly so it's not the most aesthetically pleasing. The food portion also appears slightly smaller than their competitors. However, the full flavor is miles ahead of any local competition. The Fish Filet w/ Black Bean Sauce is tender and firm. It pushes lightly back as your teeth sink into it; the black bean sauce flavor is instilled in the fish. The Kung Pao Chicken is shockingly smoky, tender, and juicy; its gentle spice lingers lightly on the back of your tongue. The Peking Duck and Seafood Pan Fried Noodles also shine with its textures and comforting flavors.Overall, Canaan Chinese Cuisine (West Covina) shattered all expectations. Fresh, flavorful, and good value. I will definitely return. AMAZING!!5/5

I was so sad to recently find out that they no longer serve Taiwanese Breakfast anymore. It's quite saddening to hear since I don't know of any other spot besides 99 Ranch in the area that serves Taiwanese Breakfast. There's already not many Taiwanese restaurants in the area, so one night, my dad decided to give them a try for their non-breakfast items. While I can't say it's the best Taiwanese food I've had, it's decent considering there's not that many taiwanese options in the area. There is one dish that was overly salty (see below) that I'll have to come back another day to see if it's always that salty. That may change my review. We came in on a Tuesday night with no reservations around 5:30pm. The restaurant wasn't too packed but you could tell people were starting to roll in. While we were looking at the menu, the waitress kindly reminded us that if we wanted to get our food orders in before the large party who had reserved a spot at 6pm, we needed to get it in ASAP. I thought that was kind of her to be mindful about that. What we ordered:Lobster Chow Mein $35 - The price for this is quite worth it, but please note that it's a small lobster. Ideally, it's prob enough for 1-2 people if this is all you're ordering, but since we ordered a couple of other dishes, it was not bad to split it amongst 4 people. If you prefer Yi Mian, it's just $5 more (total $40). Flavor on this was pretty on par with other chinese seafood restaurants that serve this dish.Spicy Intestine in Hot Pot $20 - One of my family's go to order because it pairs so well with rice. I really liked the flavor and how they packed it with a decent amount of intestines, but as I kept eating it, I realized I became so thirsty. I couldn't tell if it was because it was overly salty or overly spicy/numbing but drinking cold water made it worst. My dad also felt and tasted the salt (or msg?). I don't know if this was just a mistake on the chef's part, or if this is truly how salty they make it, but I think I will have to stop by another day to give them another chance with this dish. Beef with Scallions $18 - I like how loaded this dish was with beef. When you order this dish, you can easily tell if a restaurant is being cheap by giving you more scallions than beef. This was not the case here. The dish here tasted a little bit more on the sweeter side. Pairs very well with rice.Pork Hock in Brown Sauce $20 - The portions are super generous. You could probably order this with rice and have meals for days. So much meat. Flavor is okay and nothing special, but if you're here to just get bang for your buck, this dish is it.Taiwanese Stinky Tofu $13 - Not the stinkiest taiwanese stinky tofu but probably for a reason so that other patrons in the restaurant won't complain. We don't like driving all the way to 626 to get it so as a family, we accept this mediocre taiwanese stinky tofu.Salt & Pepper Pork Chop $17 - Fried to crispiness. I like how they used pork chops that didn't have a lot of bone or fat. I think the salt & pepper flavor could be better incorporated with the fried pork chop, but it's not bad!

A grab and go type of breakfast place, but be forewarned, it does take a while to get your order if you don't order ahead.Saw this place on a few social media posts and decided to try it out. When you enter, there are tablets that you use to order and pay. You'll then get a text when your order is ready. Very "self-serve". We got the BBQ Pork pancake and BBQ Pork toast, among other sandwiches and toasts. TBH, they all taste pretty similar but they're generally good and very filling. Worth a try but will I go out of my way to come back? Depends on if I want a carb heavy meal (if yes, I'll be back). Interior is clean and staff is friendly. Parking lot was pretty open when I visited but I can see it filing up since there's many nearby shops.

We usually order to-go, but decided to dine in for the first time today. The restaurant was full during lunch time, but the wait wasn't too long. Service was fast, and our waitress was nice. Prices were good for the portions. Dry noodle with minced beef and cucumber: Not the typical dry noodle I was expecting. It was really saucy, so it didn't feel like a dry noodle to me. Reminds me a little bit of jajangmyeong. Despite all sauce, it wasn't salty. The flavor was pretty light. The dish was only okay for me because it felt soggy with all the sauce, and the cucumbers and carrots didn't add any "crunch" or additional texture to the dish, like I was expecting. Pork in Red Grain Sauce Rice: I liked that the pork chop was still crispy. The dish also came with broccoli, tomatoes and eggs, and a little minced beef. However, the tomatoes were really sour. Portions were filling, and everything was seasoned well. I always enjoyed Dago, and their food is pretty consistent. I'll skip the dry noodles next time though and stick with rice dishes in the future.

We came here to try the stinky tofu hot pot, and we also ordered the hakka pork belly, popcorn chicken, and pig ear. They were all delicious and it was more than enough food for us two since we had leftovers. The stinky tofu came in huge triangle chunks and I enjoyed that it wasn't sour like other ones I've had. The other meat items in the hot pot like intestine, tendon, and tripe were tender and flavorful. There wasn't much variety in the vegetables. I think it was mostly cabbage and a shitake mushroom, but it was a full pot overall. I haven't tried hakka pork belly before, so I didn't know it would have a sweet flavor. But I guess the vinegar is there to balance that out. I'd probably get that as a rice dish since it feels like more of a meal than a side. The popcorn chicken and pig ear were good, standard sides to have.I liked how homey the place felt and the servers were kind and efficient. Would definitely come back!

I came here on July 4th for dinner. Seeing that it was Taiwanese I knew most times it is good. The lady was so nice. I called her over the phone to see her hours and she said, "Come, I will prepare the table for you." I was like wow...haven't heard someone so welcoming over the phone EVER....I ordered General Tso's chicken, chicken with green beans, green onion pancake, shrimp friend rice. I had enough food for another meal and a little left over. The food had really good portion and it was delicious. There is also a lot of traditional dishes that she has listed on the wall in chinese as well. Overall, it is a good experience I felt like I was at my aunt's house eating.

"We go to Pop Pot everytime we crave Taiwanese style hot pot and it always delivers. The broth is always consistent."
"As a resident of Glendora, finding authentic Taiwanese food has always been a challenge. Typically, a trip to Arcadia is necessary to satisfy my cravings. However, Dago has changed that. Conveniently located near the mall with ample parking, this restaurant is a gem.The interior is simple yet spacious, easily accommodating large parties. The food was incredible. I tried the spicy beef noodle soup, Taiwanese wonton noodles, spicy pig ear, and the renowned Taiwanese sausage with rice. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The customer service was excellent. You can place your order via QR code or the traditional way by calling a server to your table. My dad, who is a connoisseur of Taiwanese cuisine, was particularly impressed. He even said it surpasses Sinbala, a well-known Taiwanese restaurant in Arcadia. Dago has definitely become our go-to spot for authentic Taiwanese food."
"I got the spicy chicken sandwich and my friend got some of the chicken cartilage! The sandwich comes with peanut butter spread inside which honestly is a pretty weird combo for me so I'd personally opt out of the peanut butter when ordering if I go again. I also asked for no pickles in the sandwich but it still came with pickles anyways :') The chicken in the sandwich was very juicy and tender. I'd give the sandwich like a 7/10? If the peanut butter wasn't there maybe like a 7.5/10. It's definitely not a showstopper but a good quick meal if you're in the area!I would not recommend the fried chicken cartilage though. It seemed like the oil was a bit old since the cartilage had like a weird taste that you get when you fry things in older batches of oil? I'm not sure how to explain it but I just wasn't a fan of it and wouldn't recommend it. 1/10"
"Food is really good , taste is real Taiwaneses food , service is ok, recommend go to try it"
"We've visited Picnic Time Cafe three times so far--twice through their online ordering system, and once dining in. Each time, the food was fresh and tasted just as good as the last, which says a lot about how consistent they are.The concept of the place is unique and fun. It's like a picnic or bento-style setup, but the taste and presentation feel elevated, like something you'd get at a fancy Korean or Japanese restaurant. Our favorite is the Picnic Special Yubu/Inari Combo Set. It's packed with so many options--unagi, avocado crab bomb, lemon pepper salmon, spicy tuna, massago, bulgogi, kimchi, seaweed/vegan mate, sweet corn--you honestly can't go wrong with any of them. We tried the 9-item set, which comes with two drinks for $40.99 if you order online. For the amount and quality of the food, it's totally worth it.I'm also obsessed with their cheese avocado smoothie. The first two times I had it, it was perfect, but the third time it tasted more like it had a green tea base. I'm not sure if they accidentally made something else for us, or tweaked the recipe, but it tasted great regardless, so I'm not complaining! When it comes to service, dining in feels a little more casual--kind of like a fast-food vibe--but they're still super thoughtful. On our third visit, we were waiting to pick up our order, and one of the staff gave my 3-year-old a bag of gummy bears. It was such a sweet gesture, and it worked like magic! My kid ended up eating way more of his unagi bowl because of the gummy bear reward system we came up with. It's these thoughtful gestures that make a place memorable. The restaurant itself has a lot of personality. There's a cool popcorn machine, cute decor all around, and walls that are perfect for TikTok videos or photos. I also found out they have a stamp card: for every $20 you spend, you get a stamp, and after 10 stamps, you get $20 back. That's a nice little bonus for regulars. We really love this place and will definitely keep coming back. The food is great, the atmosphere is fun, and they've been nothing but kind every time we've visited."
"The foods taste good especially Taiwan popcorn chicken and dumpling. Highly recommend ! The place has soft music and is a good place to relax!"
"Wow!! Amazing dumplings and noodles! The only downside is that you order everything at the start and the dishes start coming out quickly. That ended up making us all feel as though we needed to eat quickly to make room on the table for the next thing. I'd make a point to slow down next time I went. Don't miss the chocolate mochi dessert with sweet cream air!!"
"It has been some years since we've been here. Came back because my daughter was craving for shabu and wanted her BF to try it. Place has been renovated and more lighting installed. I remembered it being a little dark. Prices are reasonable for the amount of meat and veggies that come with it. I wished they could have changed the prices on their QR code menu since they are different from actual prices charged ( they have posted a note regarding this but better if it shows on menu ). It could be misleading to a lot of diners.Still a good spot after all these time although server could be a little attentive."
"Fastest Ive EVER been served. I was blown away. Seated straightaway with 4 people! Delicious food, a teenie bit expensive but you get a fantastic meal. Loved my chicken, and you can add chili crisp/soy sauce provided at your table to your desired spice/salt level. Overall, great place!!"
"First time at Thumbling but definitely not my last. Although a lot of people were outside took less than 20 mins for a party or two to be seated. We decided to try the beef udone, chicken egg fried rice and dumplings. Each plate was delicious. Next time I will try different dumplings. Busy location - every table was taken. Service was great. You order using a QR code but servers also walk by and you can order with them. So much more I want to try here!"
"I love how this place is always super quick. I hate waiting around forever. It's super clean inside and the service is great. My soup every single time is amazing and I crave it until I return. All the things going on in that pot....YUM. SO GOOOOOOD!!"
"Dear lord food is so good !! I have missed coming here as I no longer work in OC. Down here to work on my parents house and thought why not?! I got the cumin chicken and spicy basil fried rice son got braised pork chops and rice with meat sauce. Everything was excellent. If you're in the area you should definitely try this one!!"
