"This place always hits the spot! The freshness of the ingredients is evident. Perfect for lunch on a summer day or cruda Sundays. The Samurai tostada is a must try!"
"My husband went here to have lunch with his dad and he ordered me a meal to go because he said "you've got to try this food, it's amazing" and it sure was! I had the beef koobideh, it was sooo delicious and the rice is extremely taste. We also had the humus which was so smooth and full of flavor. I definitely want to come back here and try other foods!"

"Amazing food I had the pad Thai my coworkers had Pad-se-ew chicken and with beef. We also had the Thai tea and some egg rolls. The flavor of the food was phenomenal. Good choice."
"It's been a hot minute since I've been to a Morton's, and I forgot how good it is. Sometimes a chain is popular for a good reason. This location near the Anaheim Convention Center was convenient and worth the trip. One salad option is a chopped wedge salad! What?!? That's an oxymoron people. But it takes all the work out of eating a delicious salad. Iceberg doesn't get its due but Hachi Machi, chopped up and tossed nicely with all the classic wedge ingredients and hot having a huge chunk land on your lap is worth ordering this salad.Steaks are steaks and nothing really stood out with Morton's vs the other chains. The Filet is never cut like the photo and looks like Picasso cut it. But that aside, it tasted great and was cooked correctly, but not the best part of the meal. The Sides are where it's at though. The lobster Mac n Cheese had some nice chunks of delicious lobster meat in it and was a nice complement to the meal. The mashed potatoes were also creamy and delicious (I wanted the loaded ones but some people at the table are heathens, apparently). But the Szechuan Green Beans stole the show. I will never call anyone string bean as a derogatory nickname anymore, only use it in high praise of someone based on how good this dish was. It was Legumazing and now a must order at any Mortons!I usually don't like when food touches each other on the plate, but that Szechuan sauce on the lobster Mac.... Oh man... Spicy and Cheesy together is new the PB and J! Like buffalo Mac n cheese elevated!Service was excellent with going through a few bottles of wine, glasses of water, anything else we needed. I though the waiter would have held me and burped me if I had asked him to.We were all too full for dessert so we skipped that, but what an excellent, indulgent meal at the expense of our companies! Gotta love it! But I'd gladly pay for this meal too, which says a lot!"
"I liked it. My fam came here last Christmas and it was half empty. We enjoyed it and decided to come back this year. I guess word got out because this year it was packed. Inside is bright, spacious, and modern. Lots of TVs on the walls to watch a game. They also have a large patio area with nice views of the hills and golf course. It's a good place for groups. They easily accommodated our group of 14. The food is good. For appetizers we got the firecracker shrimp, calamari, and spicy ahi tuna tacos. Those were all a hit, even with the kids. For mains our group got a bit of everything and everybody liked it. I can definitely recommend the New York steak and the lamb rack. The little sauces they come with were great. The steak side dishes are just ok though. The rice pilaf was a bit dry. Minor complaint but yo where was my maraschino cherry in my old fashioned? lolService was good. Friendly staff. Easy parking in the front lot."
"I haven't been to the Crab Cooker for a couple of years and driving by decided to stop in for a quick lunch. It was a bit after 2pm so maybe 20% full. I ordered the steamed clams which were delicious. Of course at the Crab Cooker all food is served on paper/plastic plates with plastic utensils. My clams arrived steaming hot in the broth they were steamed in. They were delicious with the melted butter. As all steamed clams lovers know the best part of the meal is dunking fresh bread in the clam broth. None was brought with the meal so I asked my server if I could have some bread. She advised me that bread didn't come with it so if I wanted some I'd have to buy it. She brought out a loaf of bread, sliced, I said she could slice it, in 10 big slices. I was by myself so I did enjoy 2 of the big slices dipped in the broth. The price of this loaf of bread is $4.95. on top of the steamed clams. I understand if a person wants bread for the table it would be fair if a restaurant wants to charge for it. But I don't think it's good customer service to serve a dish like this without a slice or 2 of bread. I left the majority of the bread on the table. I could have taken it but I'm not a big bread eater except when I want it for special meals. I live alone and there was no one to share with. I'm very disappointed with the "chicken poo poo ' attitude of this restaurant and I'm taking the time to call them out."
"I've had a positive experience every time I come here. Food is fresh and portion are a good size. Taco Tuesday offers a free fish taco with a purchase of any taco. Items ordered: fish tacos, agua de piña con chamoy and Tajín. Overall, I thought that fish tacos were great. They were cooked perfected and bartered just right. The salsa was good and offered just the right amount of spice. The pineapple water was super delicious. My 3 year old devoured the entire thing. Overall, fast service and plenty of space inside. The employees are generous and the inside is always looking clean. Good food and descent prices."
"I came to this place because I heard it had authentic Japanese chefs. Keep in mind, because of this marketing, as well as the fact that they import their fish from Japan, the prices are going to be sky high. It was like $5 for one piece of nigiri, or $30 for a fish collar. This place is very popular, so make sure to make a reservation or come like 10min before they open, as people will line up outside the restaurant.Getting that out of the way... It was a great restaurant in terms of the Japanese vibe and authenticity. The chefs are indeed Japanese and you can ask them questions about the dishes which they will answer skillfully. We did not go here for sushi, though there were many people ordering omakase here. We ordered a variety of their other dishes, including two fish collars (salmon and young yellowtail), the crab stuffed salmon, tempura, and liver. The highlight for me was the salmon collar. Fatty and moist, it was easily the most delicious dish. It far surpassed the young yellowtail, which wasn't as fatty and tasted fishier. The tempura came out hot, but it had such thick batter that I was overwhelmed by the oily taste. A thinner batter would've been better to let the shrimp shine. The stuffed salmon was okay. The crab inside was yummy, but the salmon on the edge was not. I did not eat the liver so I can't say whether that was good.I'd like to one day come back for their omakase experience, where I can talk to the chefs at the bar."
"Fui a comer aquí con mi familia el sábado Ya q mi hermano siempre viene aquí Me invito a comer para celebrar mi cumpleaños.Yo ordene ostiones, camarones costa azul y tacos gobernador de camarón. todo deliciosoY las micheladas que no falten La mesera bien buena gente y siempre al pendiente de nuestra mesa Muchas gracias nos vemos pronto"
"This place is absolutely amazing!!! Should be a line out the door! Super fresh Seafood and my favorite is the Shrimp Tostada and Shrimp Diablo plate with beans and rice! Also, cleanest kitchen where they are chopping up fresh herbs, vegetables and peeling the shrimp. A MUST TRY!"
"It's been a while, but I've given this place more chances and have to say I'll continue returning! As someone who doesn't like mimosas, I knew bottomless would've been a rip off for me with their deal. Luckily, I was able to use a different menu and order a margarita on the side without having to use their bottomless brunch menu!Their Buffalo Chicken Wings came out steaming and packed! It tasted exactly like you'd expect from good wings. If you have the stomach, try out their Clam Chowder! Super creamy, filling, and hearty if you're not feeling anything else. Glad I'm able to get a difference experience from last time!"
"A friend and I came to BLK Earth Sea Spirits for dinner on a Tuesday evening. The restaurant is located upstairs on the south east corner of PCH and Main street right across the street from the beach. Note that Huntington Beach has a street fair every Tuesday night and Main Street is blocked off from PCH for several blocks north which may throw off your arrival time if you are not aware. We were seated immediately out on the patio which was fairly busy but inside was pretty empty. The restaurant definitely has a classy feel and would be great for a date. The patio wall is low with glass above so you get a great view of the beach and up and down PCH. The décor is nice and modern. The dinner rolls were real good and had some herb flavor. We both ordered the filet mignon and my friend added on a lobster tail. The cuts of meat were very thick but were cooked through as ordered and tasted great. I ordered some bearnaise sauce which was ok. We were both doing the carnivore thing and didn't order any sides. Prices were a little on the high side but on par with most of the fancy restaurants down here. Service was good and the host was very friendly also. The one thing that was weird was the plates our steaks were served on. They are just big rectangular completely flat plates. With nothing on my plate besides the big thick chunk of meat, it made the steak look kind of small and potentially could have been a big mess if a lot of juice came out of the steak."

My fiancé and I were in the mood for ceviche this weekend and stumbled on this place on Yelp. It only had one review but we were intrigued since it was close to our home yet had gone unnoticed. So we hunted out the place and found it in a commercial office area next to the Fullerton Airport. My fiancé is a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to ceviche and was a bit hesitant when he realized that there were no seating available. However, we decided to stay when the server (possibly owner) came out and was super friendly. He explained they had only been open for a month with little marketing so that's why there hasn't been a whole lot of reviews. We ended up ordering the fish (Pescado), shrimp and yellowfin tuna ceviche. The fish and shrimp were prepared in traditional ceviche manner with lime while the yellowfin tuna was more like poke with soy sauce. All were served with tostada and crackers. We ended up eating the ceviche in the car and really enjoyed it. A few hours later, my fiancé had the leftovers again for dinner and he said the extra time marinading actually made it even better. My fiancé and I are extremely impressed and can tell the chef has worked professionally and this is not his first rodeo. The ceviche is definitely worth revisiting which we plan to do. We just hope they expand their opening hours/day.

The food was amazing but the staff is what made our visit unforgettable. Winter was our waitress and she was more than attentive. Kind, thoughtful and made us feel very special as it was our anniversary dinner. They validate parking if you park at the hotel lot. We will most definitely be going back! Oh and you must have the Morton's chocolate cake, best dessert we've had in years!

During a recent visit, my parents took me here for lunch, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. We ordered their a Red Special Burger, Classic Caesar salad, and Spicy Ahi Tacos. All three dishes were very good. My burger was terrific and I chose the side salad, which was crammed in a little dish which made it difficult to navigate/mix up. I felt it could have used more ingredients--some additional tomatoes, cucumbers, or croutons would have been nice.We would have liked to sit outside, but it was a bit too warm that day. Inside, the atmosphere was a little noisy, probably due to the golfers who had just finished a round of drinking, I mean a round of golfing.Overall, it was a great experience, and I would recommend it and return.

Had a birthday lunch here and our server Kimberly took great care of our group. We had several different items including a bowl of clam chowder, crab cakes, and the crab Louise salad. There were five of us total and everything came out quick and delicious. The atmosphere is very laid back and chain-like with more of a homie feel. Great price for everything.

Solid neighborhood staple. Can't go wrong with the fried fish tacos. An ample amount of fish, with zesty white sauce! They're always steady busy, but quick and hospitable. I haven't eaten in, but there's plenty of space! Reventaco is always CLEAN!!

I was recommended to try Ohshima for their omakase, and it certainly lived. Reservations are recommended due to the limited seating, and the bar is exclusively for omakase--no American sushi rolls here. The omakase was priced at $70 per person, including 10 pieces of sushi and one appetizer. The balance of rice to fish was perfect, and I appreciated that no extra sauces were needed. We didn't try any drinks but had the homemade green tea flan for dessert. I would've liked more fruit, but the green tea flavor was excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive, cleaning up after us when needed and ensuring our drinks were constantly refilled. There's plenty of parking outside, and despite some mixed reviews regarding price, ownership changes, and food quality, I left very satisfied.

"We went here for my moms birthday! It was simple tomake a reservation online and you can put any special requests or messages and I put we were celebrating a birthday and everyone greeted my mom when we got there which was great. Our server was also super helpful with suggestions of the menu. They give complimentary sourdough bread w butter which was delicious. We started off with calamari which was crispy and yummy. I got the salmon which was paired with gnocchi and corn SO GOOD! The salmon piece itself was big enough where I could take it for leftovers. We didn't ask but they ended up giving us a little cake w ice cream and a candle for my mom's birthday which was super sweet."
"My first solo dinner was here at Nick's. It was so special to me. Everything went well, from beginning to end. Sat at the bar and was taken care of by the bartenders who also took my order for food. I enjoyed their spicy watermelon margarita and chicken piccata. The ladies that sat on each side of me were so cute and couldn't help but notice my food. They were asking what I had ordered and the lady to my left ended up ordering the same thing! Chicken piccata bursted with flavor, lemony, salty, moist, just perfection. It had 2 chicken fillets and I was only able to finish one so I took the rest to go.I loved the dim lighting and everyone seemed to be having a great time with each other. This dinner encouraged me to go on more solo dates with myself. Thank you for setting the bar, Nick's!"
"This place doesn't have a yelp or Facebook following, so I thought I would create a yelp following for them.I come here at least once a week! Everything on the food truck is super yummy and super fresh. If you show up and they aren't there, that means they ran out of everything! That's how good they are! I bring different friends to this spot and everyone seems to love it!My personal recommendations: The pescada ceviche is to die for and when we've been partying all night long, this is the go-to spot to cure a hangover. The enmorada is good too, however, I wish they would put real crab in it or go easy on the imitation krab. The white sauce in the enmorada is what makes it yummy. The marlin tacos and empanadas are delisth! However, they run out quickly, so get there early if you want one!"
"Food is always delicious! I love their super tostada salad and everything else I've tried there. A bit on the pricy side."
"Food overall was okay. Filet Mignon tasted better than Asada. The Shredded Beef taquitos appetizer is very good. Guacamole not impressed. Ceviche way over priced $25 for 3 very small portions. Tacos were okay, tortillas were way too greasy. Transferred to flour tortillas. The green salsa is very good and tasty!Ambiance for Sat night after 5pm was great. Super busy for small place and great music and choice of music. The bar was full and no empty space.Service was decent. Did not clear plates enough especially for very small tables. Reservation for sisters bday of 8 people and they awkwardly place one square and one round table together. Not convenient, or logical."
"Oh my goodness, the orange beef here is to die for. If you love food, order this now. Why are you still reading!Okay, fine, so - first of all, this place is called Henry's because two dudes named Henry started it. I love that! They have such a huge menu that it was so hard to pick just a couple of items to try while having lunch with my friend over the weekend. However, we somehow dwindled it down to the orange beef and Viet style filet mignon. And don't get me wrong, the beef in the mignon was succulent and had great flavor to the dish. I'd get it again for sure. But, that orange beef was perfectly deep fried to a crisp crunch when I bit into it that snapped wonderfully between my lips. Plus soundly sweet savor sensations to the sauce with a tinge of spice, perfectly perfect over rice.I would describe the overall style as modern homestyle Cantonese cooking. But it deviates even from that in the best ways possible with so many options. Every dish at Henry's sounds so scrumptious. I'm going to be working my way thru all of them the rest of my days~!"
"We got food to go and I am very happy to report that the food is just as good eaten at home as it is ordered in the restaurant. These guys are experts at what they do.The seafood boil is sooo good. They pack it so carefully with aluminum and plastic to prevent spillage in transit. These are some thoughtful, proactive people here. This place is worth slogging through traffic for. That's saying a lot!"
"I wish I could give a place six stars sometimes! The food is 10/10. Everything we tried was so good. The mee goreng was incredibly flavorful, the fish fillet was so tender and was perfect with the rich curry sauce, the nasi lemak is such a picture of southeast asian cuisine (but if you're not a fan of shrimp paste beware because it's strong). And I forgot the name of the beef dish but it was so soft and had a peppery umami to it plus the sweetness of the onions made it a perfect balance. The ambiance is so nice and cozy, and it makes sense given the owners. This is a family owned business, and the family cooks and serves and it just made sense why the place was so homey. Ken and Kim, thanks for making our night incredibly fun and memorable. My girls and I will definitely be back We also catered with them for a dinner and the food was just incredible. Our classmates were completely unfamiliar with Malaysian food but I saw them coming back for seconds and thirds! They also accommodated our need to have the food earlier which was just so nice AND they added in a hainan chicken that we did not order??? So kind and generous. Truly a special place in OC, you don't find a lot of restaurants like this :')))"
"Solid Chinese spot. Less busy than the OG location down the street. A decently large space inside plenty of seating to handle small to medium sized groups. Came in for dinner with some friends. The spicy wontons are my fav. The fried rice and crispy noodles are great options for the whole table. Big menu so there's something for everyone. Service is ok. Staff is very efficient. There's parking behind the building or a small underground garage."
"First time eating here, I will be back. Fish taco were awesome. My fish and chip good but next time I'll tell them not so garlic on my fries."
"The quality of the food at this place was excellent, but just know it's really pricey! Most Hibachi spots are like this and will be at least over $30, but I believe I paid around $40+ for New York Steak, Chicken, rice, and vegetables. I was tempted to get the fried rice, but it was more pricey. The steak was very tender and seasoned well. The white rice was a bit dry to my liking, though. The employee was very friendly and answered all my questions. She brought the food to my car because I had my dog with me, which was super sweet! I would come back if I was in the area and in the mood for some delicious Hibachi."
"I visited the Beachcomber recently for my dad's birthday and it had been a few years since my family and I have been here. I think this restaurant is in such a beautiful location and the service is great, but I think the food here can be hit or miss. I also had a minor issue with my reservation. I had my reservation here booked 3-4 weeks in advance so I was expecting to be seated immediately but unfortunately despite our entire party being there on time, we waited an additional 20 minutes past our reservation time before we got seated. It could've been worse if we were hungrier and if the view wasn't so nice, but I think that's a bit much of a wait for having reservations. The appetizers we got were solid! We ordered the Ahi Nachos, Mini Brioche Lobster Rolls, Ceviche de Camaron, and Clam Chowder. The Ahi Nachos were so fresh and flavorful, and the texture of the wonton nachos were soooo perfect! The Lobster Rolls were so cute and had amazing flavor and the lobster was cooked perfectly. The Ceviche was also super fresh and limey. The Clam Chowder was a bit salty for me unfortunately. If I had to pick one appetizer though, definitely go for the nachos. As for the entrees, we got the Pan-Roasted Blue Crab Stuffed Salmon, Frutti di Mare, Miso Glazed Butterfish, and the special of the day which was the Swordfish. All portions were generous which is appreciated.I was disappointed by the Frutti di Mare as someone that loves seafood and pasta. I think the flavor was more tomatoey than it was seafoody despite being packed with seafood (and I love tomatoes too). I was most excited for this dish, but it fell kind of flat for me. I just expected a little more flavor and the texture of the sea bass wasn't my favorite since it was kind of firm. But the bread it comes with is delicious, we ended up asking for extra! The rest of the entrees I only had little tastes of so take what I say with a grain of salt. The Blue Crab Stuffed Salmon wasn't my favorite but I think that may just be personal preference. I like both blue crab and salmon but maybe not together. I feel the same towards the Swordfish which was average for me, but that's mainly because I find swordfish to run drier.BUT the star of the show here is 1000% the Miso Glazed Butterfish. This is the one dish I remembered from my last visit here and it continues to be the best entree I've gotten to try here. It's so so so good. Buttery, flaky, juicy. The crust is even better, just perfectly thin and crispy but packed with flavor. I LOVE this dish, it's a must have.Cocktails!! All solid, but beware of the big jars hahaha they're pretty strong. If that's what you're going for though, good bang for your buck. They taste good though! Love the Watermelon Mojito the most.Since it was my dad's birthday, they brought out a warm gooey brownie with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream on top. I swear these simple desserts are always the most unsuspecting but it was delicious. The brownie was PERFECTLY gooey which is just the best paired with vanilla ice cream and that's all I have to say about that :)Loved our server, she was super sweet and attentive. We enjoyed having her for the evening! The ambience is warm, visually, but also literally. I love how they have their heater set up to run up through the ground. You will feel nice and toasty even on the chilliest day on the patio. Love the lighting and the aesthetic here, it's a cute upscale beach shack.A tip if you're a first timer here, park at the Los Trancos Parking Lot ($15) and either take the $2 shuttle or take a short 5-10 min walk to the restaurant. Arrive a little early to enjoy the nice view and take some pictures! I definitely take the beach for granted despite living so close.Overall, my experience at Beachcomber was on the positive side. This place is a good destination type restaurant and has that unique flair, but it's the kind of place I'll only come to every once in a while for a celebration."
"Stopppp! If you're not loving this place, you're drunk (or not drunk enough!). The service is ALWAYS on point and the food is amazing. There are like a million TVs, with different things on for everyone. Do yourself a favor and order the lobster roll... or the burger... or literally anything!"
"Ruth Chris Long Beach was the best date night we could have asked for. The food is always consistent and the quality is top tier BUT it was the IMPECCABLE service we received that made our night! Hailey was our server and Adolfo was her server assistant and both of them were a dream! Hailey gave us recommendations when we couldn't decide between our sides and made sure she kept us updated on our drink orders when the bar got a little backed up. We were going to skip dessert and then we saw an Apple crumble that another table had ordered and Hailey highly recommended it...I'm so glad she did.We had such an amazing time that we left our table and went to the bar. The bar was packed but we never felt as though we were being ignored as you sometimes can feel when the bar is busy.Overall, this has been the best Ruth Chris experience I have had out of going to multiple locations in and outside of SoCal. We will definitely be back!"

"Best Burritos in OC!WOW! WOW! WOW! Chef here! And i absolutely approve! Not cheap, BUT WORTH the experience!I'm going there tomorrow to just get a bean a cheese burrito because the avo-poblano sauce is the most delicious I've ever tasted. This place is hand crafted authentic meets fine dining flavors.I'm completely shocked! And if you love cozy tortilla that's nicely steamed, YOU will find there burritos at it's truest perfection! The deep flavors are there! The perfect acid in the avo-poblano sauce!Chorizo was home made! The tortilla was moist! And the beans!!! Wow!Oh, the chips are delicious. Soak the avocado sauce in it and it's another meal! And the sweet team, are just precious! A big smile and cooked w love! I have no idea who these folks are. I was just passing through! This is not a paid review. LOLI truly want family businesses like this to succeed because we need real food around! GO support em!"
"Hidden away on a quiet street, The Dock captures your attention right away as it is the only restaurant that is bright enough to be noticed. Upon entering the restaurant, you are greeted by the host and a wall full of wine. The host takes you to the back where the salty air and smell of wine permeates the room. For those of you who like to be surrounded by the wading boats and laughter in the room, this is the place where you can forget your arguments and be truly present. Come and order a drink for the occasion. I got Endless Summer and truly, it was the last drink before the season changes again. As an appetizer, I got the octopus, a small dish where you'll still have room for more food. As the main entrees, I got the fish of the day and of course, the lamb. If you ever had lamb anywhere else, well, those restaurants cannot compare to this one at The Dock. The lamb was cooked nicely and without the gamey taste, which is my preference. I would go back here again for the location, good, and ambiance."
"This is a pretty average Vietnamese place. Typical casual vibe. Service was great. We were seated and had our orders taken quite quickly. Food came out fast and hot. They gave us free dessert after as well. The food itself wasn't special. The pho soup was fine, but the toppings were a little sparse. The chicken and veggie stir fry I got was okay, but the sauce wasn't mixed that well.Overall, a decent spot to get a quick bite, but not one I'd crave."
"For a location that seems cursed, Pepper Lunch feels like it can reverse the trend and become a mainstay for the Irvine Spectrum. While viewed as more of a sit-down fast casual place because of the nature of the dish as a sizzling plate, especially given the level of service and time at other locations, this place offers that level of quick service you would think of when it comes to Japanese standards for customer service, ensuring that customers get their food quickly and fresh and allowing for a healthy rate of customer turnover to facilitate business. They were definitely equipped to handle the level of business for opening weekend, but they seem like they have a clear handle of operations to keep a certain consistency. The beef pepper rice plate is an easy classic, and it's all the familiar flavors of the franchise. Be sure to add some sauce while it's cooking for that extra flavor, and you have a reliable meal at fairly affordable prices given the cost of everything going up these days. They seem to have a number of premium options and upgrades and toppings I'm looking to try in the coming days when the crowds die down a bit, but in the meantime I will celebrate their success. It's conveniently located next to the movie theater as well as the best gelato shop in the area, so they're in good company and a perfect place to get a substantial meal in the middle of a shopping trip or before a movie.TIP: Be sure to add their sauce to your dish while it comes out hot and piping."
"My kiddo is a teriyaki chicken bowl fan. Sometimes the quality of his favorite food varies from place to place. I ended up finding this great spot 5 minutes away from us. Teriyaki J's meets all the right requirements: food is great, especially for the price! We know inflation is a current issue everywhere. Prices are rising and it's affecting everyone. The prices here can't be topped! The staff here is so friendly and professional. I've been here over a dozen times and the service is always A+ ! Every single time I've visited the restaurant has always been clean. I love that! This shows that they take pride in their establishment. If you visit, take the time to read the owner and founders story on their wall.Last but not least, I'm only mentioning their chicken teriyaki bowl but their menu is so diverse. Check it out! There's something for everyone."
"There's a certain kind of place that thrives in Newport Beach--slick, polished, not effortlessly expensive. Gulfstream is one of them. Not trying too hard, not exactly phoning it in either. I've been here plenty of times, usually after work, perched at a high-top in the bar with a drink in hand, or at one of those coveted kitchen rail seats where you get to watch the controlled chaos unfold. The drinks? Above average, which in Newport is saying something. Nothing overly fussy, nothing that requires an MFA in mixology to appreciate. They won't light anything on fire or carve a single, hand-cut ice sphere, but they also won't disappoint. Solid execution, no pretense. The menu keeps it tight--no sprawling, ego-driven, 20-page disaster--but you've got options. If I'm ordering an entrée, it's the trout. No regrets. My wife swears by the salads. The food? Good, sometimes very good, but not the main event. That honor goes to the people-watching, which is Newport Beach at its absolute finest. Money, Botox, and real estate deals unfolding in real time. If you're in the market for a waterfront property--or just want to overhear someone closing on one--this is where you come. The tables are mostly set up for foursomes, and the outdoor patio, when buzzing, has that just-right energy. A place where deals are made, martinis are drained, and everyone is somebody--or at least pretending to be."
"I don't know about you, but it's great to dine inside a restaurant again with loved ones. Ostioneria Bahia is the best place to reconnect with the world and celebrate as things open up again. Start off with a frosty mug filled with michelada (beer, lime, tomato juice, spices). Salud!Food:Mojarra al Mojo de Ajo: An entire perch is deep fried until it is dark brown. The flaky fish is firm with a crispy scored skin with a light garlic butter sauce. Camarones Marea (Rellenos): Tail-on shrimp, cheese, and bits of imitation crab are rolled up in a strip of crispy bacon.Pulpo al Mojo de Ajo: The octopus tentacle is cut into small coins that are soft and tender morsels lightly coated in garlic butter sauce. Each plate comes with fluffy buttery rice and beans, and a spicy, grilled, green chili pepper.Service:Everyone is so friendly. They bring out baskets of tostadas that you break up and dip in salsa or guacamole.Dining Area:Every other table is kept empty."
"Food: we got the fried rice, mala spicy crab, the crawfish noodles, the sautéed cabbage, the egg yolk crab, the clams, and the passion fruit drink. Everything we got was so fresh and delicious! You know the chef really cares about the quality of food and that's so important when you're eating seafood. The mala spicy crab was the star of the show if you like spicy. The numbing spice was addictive and spicy! I really loved the egg yolk crab if you don't like spicy. My husband's favorite things were the egg yolk crab and the fried rice. He said it was on the of the best fried rices he's had. He even encouraged me to ask for the recipe from the chef. Hahaha. Needless to say we will be back for the food! Service: We got waited on by two lovely ladies. They were so sweet and super attentive. The staff helped us with some suggestions. The menu is in Chinese and I'm not the best with reading Chinese. Ambiance: The restaurant has a small amount of tables. They do a lot of take out but we dined in. The tables were clean and minimalistic. It's a casual dining restaurant where people eat family style. It's a restaurant where you eat with your hands. They provide gloves so your hands don't get spicy so keep that in mind. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, it reminded me of eating seafood in Asia without the long flight. Tldr; I would recommend this place. I will be bringing my friends here. I am a stickler for quality and I am willing to pay for freshness. I still crave the crab, clams, and fried rice. So so good. Trust me!"
